Are people actually born gay? My analysis.
Lalalablah replied to Cucco's topic in General Discussion
I'm not saying I believe it is a choice, but IF somebody were to chose that, it's not guaranteed that they will be tormented like you have described. I think it's awful and absolutely disgusting that people are discriminated because of their sexuality, yet not every single homosexual or bisexual (and any other category you want to throw in) is treated like that. For instance, I have a gay friend who is pretty popular actually, and his parents are loving and accepting of him. That's only one out of the many individuals at my school who are thought of as equals and who have a sexual orientation other than straight. To get to my point, IF it was a choice, a person may choose that simply because they want to. ----------- Numerous studies have shown that homosexuality is not caused by abuse or other traumatic childhood experiences, that parenting styles or relationships with parents do not influence it, and masculinity and femininity are not related to the development of it. Any environmental factors that may play a role in it have not been identified. There are some biological factors though, such as the fact that Simon Levay discovered that there is a certain cluster of cells in the hypothalamus of straight men that is larger than the cluster in gay men and straight women. It doesn't mean that genetics caused homosexuality, though. Some theorists believe different hormone levels in the womb might change brain structure and lead to homosexuality. As for what you said, Cucco about the 40% chance of becoming gay, I'd double check that statistic if I were you. It's plausible but it doesn't sound quite right. Also, here is a list of animals displaying homosexual behavior. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_animals_displaying_homosexual_behavior -

You're beautiful! Hair looks amazing too

My teacher made a great point: we fall in love with our pain and the story it creates. There are better, more important things that make you "you" besides the tragedies.
-
T-That is true, I absolutely adore my pain now that I think about it, it doesn't have to represent me, but I think those pains make me a better person whereas it would make someone else bitter. I like to share the former.

Oh growing from mistakes and past troubles is definitely a good thing, so long as that isn't the center of someone's life. I believe everything I have gone through--good and bad--has made me a more whole person. I agree with you.

Becoming a vegetarian again was one of the best decisions I've made in a while ahha

Eating vegetables, fruits, soy/tofu, beans/lentils, and grains provides an adequate amount of protein and vitamins (and all the other essentials)

Something like that happens in my school to, except it's mostly about anime, but 2 of my friends like KH

-
I had undercover KH fans at my elementary , middle and high school. One time there was a kid who dressed up as Sora in 10th grade and a group of like 11 people started praising him. When I saw him I went up to him and gave him dap lol.

Most parents know or assume that their teenage sons masturbate (and masturbation really isn't something that you should be ashamed of, so long as it is done in moderation.) If you want to tell your parents so they have a definite understanding, you can do that. Just like Col. Random said, take it slowly and find something else to occupy your mind (take a walk outside, draw, listen to music, make food, play video games.) Maybe take a break from the computer for a day if you really have to. If you're afraid of someone seeing your internet history, enable private browsing or incognito mode if you haven't already done so. And if you really wanted, you could use a proxy to make yourself feel safer, I don't know. If you are determined and disciplined you will accomplish your goal. Good luck!

Stay away from people who don't understand that no means no
