  1. I was fine with many of the twists in this, but others felt like they were just twists for the sake of being twists and hindered the movie. I'm fine with Rey's parents being nobodies, in fact that's what I wanted. I would have been disappointed if she was somehow related to any of the main characters (the galaxy isn't that small). I'm also fine with the death of Snoke which seemed like a pretty bold move. I didn't like the humor in this movie which I understand is subjective, but for me it fell flat and felt forced/cringey and very out of character coming from Luke in particular. The whole sub-plot involving Finn and Rose was not only uninteresting, but in the end wound up being completely pointless for the plot. It felt like those sequences were only there to give Finn and Rose something to do in this movie. The plot involving Poe and Holdo did not make any sense at all. Why didn't Holdo just tell Poe the plan? There was literally no reason not to. Again, this felt like a contrived conflict to give Poe and the new character something to do past the initial scenes. There are a multitude of ways they could have minor tweaks to have the mutiny sub-plot make sense but it didn't seem like they tried. Most of all I don't like what they did with Luke. Luke fought and converted the second most powerful sith in the galaxy back to the light, his own father. He senses the dark side in his own nephew (who isn't even evil yet!) and briefly thinks about killing him? What? Even Mark Hamill said this point didn't make any sense with Luke and I completely agree. I love Star Wars and I didn't hate this movie. It was fun to watch but disappointing in many respects.
  2. Honestly I found this film pretty disappointing. So many plot holes and missed opportunities. Disney has been dropping the ball with Star Wars so far for me. I lost interest in Rebels, and I never really had interest in the Han Solo film and now after seeing TLJ my interest for episode 9 has waned.
  3. I don't consider Jecht a villain, but he's my favorite antagonist in the series (over Seymour, who seemed more like a side villain in X) . At least of the games I've played.
  4. Hey now, I liked the Brendan Frasier Mummy movie. Hey now, I liked the Brendan Fraser Mummy movie.
  5. I voted. I'm not happy with my choice, but I'm voting against a candidate, not for one.
  6. I would much rather have games delayed for quality than have them rushed out the door prematurely.
  7. I don't think it's pointless, but people rarely change their views on such things, and many take any criticism as a personal attack.
  8. Assassin's Creed Dark Souls Post-Warcraft 3 Warcraft stuff Final Fantasy XIII Halo
  9. I enjoyed MGSV for the most part. It has some of the best gameplay in the series but it grew stale pretty quickly, and it felt like the "open world" thing was a tacked on afterthought. It also has the least engaging; least interesting plot and characters in the series. It doesn't feel like an MGS game, and I likely would have enjoyed it more had it been a new IP with the same gameplay. Peacewalker not only felt unnecessary, but undermined the plot and character arcs of MGS3. Specifically The Boss, who's one of the best characters to come out of this franchise and imo one of the best female characters in gaming. It's my favorite franchise overall, but different strokes for different folks I guess.
  10. My most favorite to least favorite is pretty much the release order. Mgs1> mgs2> mgs3> mgs4> mgs5
  11. I love MGS3, but it's definitely the most overhyped of the series. So it's 2 4 and 5 left. ....I guess we can agree that 2 was good?
  12. Even being the Republican Nominee, Trump is still hated by a large portion of his own party. Many Conservative figureheads and even past republican presidents refused to show up at the convention, which is a pretty big deal.
  13. I wouldn't say I hate it, but Superhero and Zombie fiction have long since worn out their welcome for me.
  14. This seems like a no-brainer. Is anyone in favor of destroying the planet?
  15. This comic strip is the origin of "Weeaboo". Obviously it doesn't mean anything. 4chan gave it a meaning.
  16. I play about once every other week with a group, and I DM a Call of Cthulhu campaign about once a week.
  17. Superman was an Idiot during his fight with Batman. He could have easily won, but It's like he forgot what powers he had.
  18. Still don't know how I feel about this...
