people say video games are a waste of time

Agreed. -
First I got a gbc and played pokemon, gba more pokemon games and other games, too, later a PS2, when we were at my cousins' house my sisters and I played Eye toy with them and my parents were so happy that they finally had found a way to make us get some exercise so they bought a PS2 for us. Later on we got more controller games rather than other eye toy games, and ds which belongs to my mom. She wanted one for Dr. Kawashima's brain training but we were also allowed to use it and in the end I played a lot of Zelda.

I started out with the very first generation of Pokemon on the game boy colour. I played red/blue/yellow, then silver/gold/crystal, ruby/sapphire/emerald, firered/leafgreen. Since I didn't had a ds at that time and also was kinda too lazy to get one I stopped playing the main series. Even after I bought one I didn't continue because to me it's just the same over and over again, the differences being, the bad guys change and there are other pokemon. That's just how it seemed to me. I enjoyed playing mystery dungeon or pokemon ranger since it's a new plot and the gameplay is also different from the main series. Sure, I got a little bit interested in the new generation. However, at the moment I'm rather unsure whether I'll be getting it when it comes out, but luckily there's still some time left to think about that. If there's anything else, that I think sounds great about the game, next to the graphics, I might buy it. I'm more looking forward to the next mystery dungeon game. I'm not someone who likes to trade pokemon from different generations, or taking part in different events in order to get all pokemon. So, yeah. I'll see I guess.

Final Fantasy X braska's aon. I was struggling in the area, I forgot the name of it, and I really thought that I certainly would not beat it. But it turned out that it was really easy. I expected it to be more difficult actually.

Almost a Week into the New Year and........
griann replied to PrincessKari's topic in General Discussion
Nothing special. Just playing games, watching movies and getting ready for school, tomorrow is my first day of school of this year. So, Yeah. Just doing the usual stuff. -
o.O This was unexpected but also very funny. At least the last one. I can only watch the last one because the other videos tell me that GEMA doesn't want me to watch it.

Anyone here take a Japanese language course?
griann replied to TwiliLord's topic in General Discussion
The earlier you start, the better. O.O *goes into a corner and cries* I want to be able to learn and eventually speak so many languages, too! But Ii I learn too many languages I'd mix them up... You are really awesome. I give you my respect for that! -

I'm currently in my seventh year of learning japanese and I'm really bad at speaking japanese, I'm better at writing. But I have to admit that I'm a really really lazy person and I didn't really do much to improve my japanese other than trying to understand animes without subtitles. I can only recommend to you to take any chance to practise your japanese you get. Whether it is writing with a japanese person, taking part in a exchange to Japan, anything you want to do. Where I live there are people offering communication practice in different languages. Yeah if you come anything japanese related I'd recommend to give it a try. And yes, Kanji are difficult, there are some really easy ones but most of them are really difficult, at least for me. And of course you could play japanese games, which would be great too. I went to Japan with 15 other students, who were learning japanese, last autumn, it was part of an exchange program with our partner school in Tokyo. We were there for two weeks and it was so much fun. I was actually surprised how well I was able to speak japanese, before I thought I'd mostly speak english but it worked! My family also hast this tradition of being the hostfamily for a japanese student from our partner school, who always come in spring for a few days. I rarely spoke with them because I was really scared of saying something in a too rude way. As mentioned by others already, anime is not really how they speak. You can use some from that but I'd recommend you ask someone, who'd been there already for a longer time. Of course the japanese people won't kill you for doing anything wrong. I was just really glad that I didn't do anything wrong. Since I came back from Japan I've kept in touch by writing letters, in japanese. Two years ago I was an exchange student in Canada for five months and their way of teaching japanese was different than I was used to in my country. Looking at something from a different point of view. If you have a friend, who is either in the same japanese course or simply also learns japanese, it might be even better. Most of the time I learned japanese I didn't really had anyone to talk about japanese and one year ago, a student transferred to my school and I became good friends with him. I can talk about japanese with him and from time to time we play japanese games to train our vocabulary or speak japanese. But his japanese is way better than mine, so usually he says something in japanese and I reply in german or english, I understand what he says but I'm just terrible at spoken japnese and I won't do it unless I had to do it. So, Yeah. That are my experiences, of course everyone experiences different things. Okay, this turned out longer than I intended, but I hope it was helpful. Just remember to learn vocabulary and all that stuff, don't be lazy like me and just have fun learning. I had a time where I was about to quit learning, I was getting really bad and got worse and worse and I had no fun, but somehow it changed overtime and it's gradually getting better. Also if you have problems just ask your teacher or someone else. 頑張れよ!O(≧∇≦)O 楽しんでね!\(^ ^)/ ^_^ -
Awwww! So cute! I want one, too!

I think it's just sad that there are some kids, who act like they have it really tough and don't really think about others. She could just appreciate that her parents bought her that. But no, she doesn't. Unfortunately a lot of kids at my school are like that and they are annoying me so much. But I'm really glad that there are also kids, who are able to appreciate presents like this. I always hope that kids like that person realize that getting a present like an iphone is only a proof how lucky they are that their parents are able to afford something that. It's just disrespectful towards her parents!

Well *highfive*! ^_^ Actually, German is actually very difficult. Certainly there are more difficult language like Finnish but there really difficult things to learn in the german language. But if you ever want to know anything about german feel free to ask me!

I was born in Kaltenkirchen, that's near Hamburg, but we moved to Braunschweig and that's where I've been living my whole life. Oh, and Merry Christmas by the way to everyone, it's still the 24th here.

Heya! I'm griann and I'm new to kh13.com! I absolutely love this community and kh13.com in general. I've been visiting the last year every day to find out news concerning Kingdom Hearts. And I wanted to get to know other people like me, who love Kingdom Hearts. I only know one girl in my school but I don't see her that often and my usual friends accept that I learn japanese and that I love anime, Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, but as soon as I start talking about anything anime, Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts related they are just like, "do you expect me to listen to you or do you want me to call the people from the lunatic asylum to let them know that they are missing someone?". So, that's basically my reason for being here. And if my english is not the best I apologise, I'm german, hence english is not my mothertongue. See or rather read from you!
