2.8 characters have really flat textures, with little shading, the best textures in that shot were the backround ones like the door. The characters look very plastic, which means they are still working on them

They don't want to show the majority something so unpolished, they want to wait till they can show us something better. They showed a small few to get their reactions on what they currently have most likely Game developer logic 101 It's like an artist that refuses to show you their work until their done, but might show their mom or best friend. Of course, with games instead of ''when it's done'', it's ''When we have reached a desirable goal''. To be fair, kh3 and yandere sim have been the games i've heard the most info on that i'm waiting for, every thing else only has one single trailer and scraps of evidence. And yandere sim is an indie game.
