The Experiment ((RolePlay)) -- Part 1
MagicallyAngelic replied to MagicallyAngelic's topic in Roleplaying
(( Editing in new tasks. However, for now, there are no tasks today. )) A voice comes on into the programmer's headset. "Today, is a reset day. All abilities have been restored, and set back to normal levels. May I congratulate you, as one of you has succeeded in your task. And there is no penalty." -
The Experiment ((RolePlay)) -- Part 1

Tessaline stumbled on a rock. She had been walking, slowly, but steadily. She had arrived at the edge of the river. And was looking around for food, or fish, or anything she could eat. It was then that she saw a fish in the river. Tessaline snatched at it, missing, and then settled down, on her hands and knees, her arm reached out over the water, ready to attempt to catch a fish. -

Tessaline slowly walked through the forest, trailing her fingers on the trees as she went. She was hungry, starving. And would need to find something to eat, fast. She looked around, looking for fruits, berries, any plant she could recognise. But there was nothing. "Guess I have to fish... Or hunt." She muttered, walking through the undergrowth, towards a river, that ran through the island. -

I'd so love to join! Don't have the time to make a form yet, but I will when I have the time.

The Experiment ((RolePlay)) -- Part 1
MagicallyAngelic replied to MagicallyAngelic's topic in Roleplaying
(( Commence maniacal laughter )) Tessaline stared at her note, with a growing sense of worry. Was her dad her programmer? "Daddy?" She asked, plopping down onto the forest ground. "Daddy..." She whispered, pondering the word. Tessaline shook her head, "No, it isn't dad. I know it isn't." She muttered, shaking her head. "Then who? One of the people related to him." She hissed, shivering. Could her father have funded this? It's possible. He always threatened to punish her for everything. (( I can already tell everyone's getting ideas. Good luck.~ )) -

(( Time for tasks, and yes, the first clues. Programmers your character's CANT read them. All you see while these are handed out is everyone on the island sitting around and wandering about. Disregard that there isn't tasks written here. I'm setting it up to inform you they will be here once I edit them. But they have to sound cool first. )) All of a sudden, the island filled with noise, sounding like a very loud, very low-flying jet-plane. The sky, covered in clouds, concealed the image of the source of the sound, but it filled the island, scaring animals and shocking the simulations. A voice came on, in each of the simulation's minds. "Hello. You all have been placed here for reasons unknown to you. And you have been given 2 chances to escape. You each have a programmer assigned to you, and you each have a person connection to that programmer. Your clues will be revealed to you now." A small, delicate piece of paper floats down in front of you. The note is hand-written, in long, swooping letters. You begin to read it aloud. Tessaline Lien 'Congratulations, you have survived this far. Now, as you have experienced the effects of all our programmers, you have a choice to make. Which one do you know, Tessaline? Because we cannot expect you to know by now, you will be given a series of hints, clues, if you will. They will not relate to your programmer exactly, but the time of your life that you met them, and the effects that they've had on you. Good luck.' There is a small paper attached to the notes she received, it holds one word. "Daddy." Silver Mors 'Congratulations, you have survived this far. Now, as you have experienced the effects of all our programmers, you have a choice to make. Which one do you know, Silver? Because we cannot expect you to know by now, you will be given a series of hints, clues, if you will. They will not relate to your programmer exactly, but the time of your life that you met them, and the effects that they've had on you. Good luck.' There is a small satin box attached to the note, enclosed within the box is a flower petal, and a chocolate. Cassidy Kingly 'Congratulations, you have survived this far. Now, as you have experienced the effects of all our programmers, you have a choice to make. Which one do you know, Cassidy? Because we cannot expect you to know by now, you will be given a series of hints, clues, if you will. They will not relate to your programmer exactly, but the time of your life that you met them, and the effects that they've had on you. Good luck.' There is nothing special attached to the note, no slip of paper, or box. Rather, there is a sketch on the back, of a box of crayons. ------------------------------- (Tasks) A message appears on your screen, with the voice flicking on in your headset. "Hello programmers, it is time for your next task. whether you have completed, or failed, your first task, we have decided not to remove any money from your bank account. This is a special event. As none of you completed your tasks successfully. However, in exchange for that, your tasks will not be dedicated to your personality, rather, they will be quite hard this term. And a reward of 5 million will be given to the first person to succeed in their task. You will be given the opportunity to read the other's tasks. As they are enclosed in the message." ... The message box beeps, showing three new messages. "If none of you complete the task, you will all lose half of your remaining balance. These sets are for teamwork, one of you wins, or all of you lose. Good luck!" Amber Ashley --- This is a message only for your eyes. This message will be deleted after read, so please read the full and entire message before closing. --- We are amazingly disappointed in all of you. However, you have a chance to redeem yourselves. We suggest you work together, and do not try to force others to fail, because, if that is the case, then you all will lose a large portion of your money. Amber Ashley's task is following.Your personality is strong, largely cruel and vindictive. So your task, is to care. You will care for the simulations. If you do not choose to do this task, multiple abilities will be removed for this part of the game. You cannot create anything, however, if it is already there, or another programmer creates it for you, you may manipulate it and use it. You will care for them, be sure they can find the ability to hunt, create shelter, and care for themselves. This means all of them, and if one of them fail, if only for a minute, you will fail. Tomorrow the clock will begin ticking. Even if you fail, your abilities will not be restored until next week. Bowen Korber --- This is a message only for your eyes. This message will be deleted after read, so please read the full and entire message before closing. --- We are amazingly disappointed in all of you. However, you have a chance to redeem yourselves. We suggest you work together, and do not try to force others to fail, because, if that is the case, then you all will lose a large portion of your money. Bowen Korber's task is following.Your personality has not yet been confirmed by your system. So your task will be as follows, you must make the simulations fear the programmers. You must do this, without the ability to manipulate anything. You can create all you want, but you cannot move anything, or influence anything. If you harm a simulation, then you will fail. If you do not make all of the simulations fear the programmers, then you will fail. You have until the end of the week to complete this task. Even if you fail, your abilities will not be restored until next week. Van Fabre --- This is a message only for your eyes. This message will be deleted after read, so please read the full and entire message before closing. --- We are amazingly disappointed in all of you. However, you have a chance to redeem yourselves. We suggest you work together, and do not try to force others to fail, because, if that is the case, then you all will lose a large portion of your money. Van Fabre's task is following. You are a kind, gentle person. As such, your last role was protector. Now, however, your role will be controller. Each of the other programmers have been limited, as such, we felt you should gain more abilities. You have been granted the ability to restrict the other programmers access to the simulation. You will play god not to the simulations, but you will also play god to the programmers. Your task is simple, you are the law. The simulations cannot be manipulated, or influenced by the vindictive nature of a programmer, nor can the neutral programmer create obstacles. And you will enforce laws, which are enclosed in another attachment. Remember, all programmers can see this. Laws: A simulation cannot build their own shelter, and only one shelter may exist on the island at a time. A simulation cannot fish or hunt for food, and must find their food among the plants or dead animals. Any programmers with restricted access can only see the simulation for 2-4 hours a day. The hours they can be online (Whether specific times, or just a timer) can be edited using your //:edit tool. No simulation, no matter their influence can speak, or communicate in any way with each other, or a programmer. No simulation can interact with another, in any way, whether by sight or ear. (( Is it bad I'm enjoying this so much? This is fun... )) (( I do apologize for limiting abilities, and the really long post. But don't forget, you can talk... and technically, if you can get the other programmer to give up their password, you can play on their computer. Have fuuuunnnnn~ )) -

Tessaline slowly stood up and looked around, her eyes scanning the horizon. "I need shelter." She muttered, looking for anything that could work. "Come on Tess, think!" She hissed. She was frowning, standing in the pouring rain. "Why am I even here?" She muttered, before setting off, into the forest. ------- A voice came on, into Bowen's headset. "You have one task." The voice said, only loud enough for him to hear. "Your fellow programmers have their tasks. Complete the task, and you will succeed. Fail, and you will not. If you have an issue with the task given to you, please contact your superior through our help and support screen and a new task may be assigned if the previous task cannot be preform. Have a nice day, and enjoy the game!" The voice said, happily. -

Tessaline closed her eyes and drifted between sleep and awake. She wanted to think, but she couldn't let her guard down. These programmers seemed to be out to get her. And that was no good. (( New assignments on Monday, money will not be deducted this time. Cuz I love y'all. )) -

(( Sorry, I'll reply to the parts that are acceptable. I'm on my phone as well, I know how it is. )) Tessaline was shocked, as all the animals ran away, scattered. The fire had stopped, turning into a slowly burning ember, but a large amount of the forest had been burned. Tessaline could seethe clouds pouring rain down on the island as they made their way towards her. "Water..." She muttered, staring up into the sky, and then slowly laying back down. "I will figure this out." -

Tessaline was worried. Why did animals keep comin up to her? She moved away, her eyes wide and scared. "Get away!" She screamed, scrambling on the sand, causing it to fly off in all directions. "Get away..." It was about at that moment that she noticed that all the animals were acting strange. "The programmers?" She asked herself, staring at the animals surrounding her. -

Tessaline stared at the magically appearing buckets and the cheetas. "What kind of island is this?!" she screamed, stumbling to her feet and running away from the cheetas and the bucket and everything. "This is crazy. I'm crazy!" she screamed, as she stumbled through the sand, trying to run off of the island, or running until she collapsed. It no longer mattered to her, she just wanted to be away from everything. "Just make it stop..." she cried, tears rolling down her cheeks and blurring her vision. -

Tessaline stumbled onto the beach and stared at the forest. "Oh. My. God." she cried, tears brought to her eyes. I'm going to die. I'm going to die a horrible death here." she cried, curling up and crying into her knees. She was a mess, covered in soot and dirt, her clothes wrinkled and coated in sand. "It hasn't even been a day!" she screamed, into the sky. -

Tessaline turned, hearing the forest start to roar. This was not good. "S***" she snapped, turning and running away from the fire, back towards the beach. She knew there would be no food or water there, but it would be safer away from the fire. "Come on Tessaline! Run faster!" she hissed, not audible. She continued to stumble, and fall as she ran through the forest. There was a solid thump on her back as a large animal knocked her over, running past her. She couldn't tell what animal it was, because she didn't have the time to look up. But she could feel it. "Ouch." she cried, picking herself up and making a break for the beach. -

Tesaline frowned, she was worried. "It'll all be okay..." she reminded herself, shaking her head. The momentary distraction caused her to stumble and fall over a root. "Damned roots." she hissed, kicking the tree. She knew she needed water, and food. "How am I going to carry food? Or water?" she wondered, worriedly. (( Sorry this is a short post, and since our last lovely Simulation isn't here, I'd ask someone got rid of the lion, and we let her sit there and think until she joins us. )) -

(( Okay programmers, time for your first task. You have until this sunday to complete it. I know that's not a week, but I wish you all luck. )) A voice entered the programmer's room. "Welcome programmers. I see now that you are experimenting with your abilities. Congratulations on your luck. There are 3 of you, and one of you will win..." "Now, your first task will be sent to you, in a text box, to each of your computers. Please open it, and memorize your task, as it will be deleted once you read it. Also, put on the glasses placed to your right, they will allow you to read it. Each of your glasses only works for your computer, do not try to read other's tasks." The glasses seemed to appear out of nowhere, appearing to your right. You figure you should put them on. As soon as you do, a text box appears on your computer, with your instructions. Amber Ashley --- This is a message only for your eyes. This message will be deleted after read, so please read the full and entire message before closing. --- Congratulations! You are one of three people chosen to help our scientific research. This task should be easy, especially for you, Amber. Friends or enemies, all can be subject to make mistakes. You have been chosen to fix these mistakes. Choose one simulation person, of your choice, and cause them to make a mistake. Whether, trapped outside in a storm, or trapped in a pit. And then, give them the 'inspiration' to fix their mistake. Remember, these simulations must continue to live, and run their program. But they are designed to react to what you do to them. So play nice, Amber. And good luck.Bowen Korber --- This is a message only for your eyes. This message will be deleted after read, so please read the full and entire message before closing. --- Congratulations! You are one of three people chosen to help our scientific research. A God cannot be seen, heard, or show any evidence of them existing. The other two Programmers make many messes, and it's your job to clean them up. Do not let the simulations know that you exist, any of you. You are to be invisible, and make occurrences seem natural and explainable. Good luck, Bowen. You have your work cut out for you.Van Fabre --- This is a message only for your eyes. This message will be deleted after read, so please read the full and entire message before closing. --- Congratulations! You are one of three people chosen to help our scientific research. Your task is simple, protect the simulations from harm. Many animals and natural disasters may try to get in your way, however, you are to guide them, and care for them. Do not allow them to come to harm. Be aware, once something is placed on the island, it cannot be removed, but, you can place something else, or cause something else to occur to stop it. You are their protector, be kind, care, and most of all, don't let them get hurt.(( Go ahead and read each others if you want, but realize that not all of you can succeed. This will be the focus, you are not working together, you are separate, and it'll get increasingly harder. Good luck! )) -

Tessaline frowned, and glanced up, her mouth dropped. "Thats a lot of birds..." She muttered, before shaking her head. "Of course there is, I'm in the middle of the ocean. There's birds." She muttered, before turning and walking into the forest, trying to dispel the fear creeping the back of her mind. What if she was all alone out here, away from everyone else, and no one would find her? 'No. That couldn't be. There's no way.' she thought, shaking her head. "They'll find us." she said, quite loudly. But there was no reply, her voice echoing off the trees. -
And here is the roleplay. ^.^ http://kh13.com/forum/topic/47221-the-experiment-roleplay-part-1/ Please forgive me, as I have to stretch my creativeness to allow you all to have met and interacted. I've decided that my hints will slowly get more and more easy, building on a larger picture. As... It'd be pretty near impossible to tell at this point. My hints will never make sense to my character... mostly because... my character is weird. And I think I'll just make her kinda dumb.

Okay, I’m going to reiterate the scenarios and add a wee bit more detail to each. Then the rules, and then I’ll start off. If you want to see the original scenarios or anything else, the link is below to the signup. http://kh13.com/forum/topic/47177-the-experiment-signups/ VOLUNTEER (PROGRAMMERS):: “You will be given 1 assignment per week, complete the assignment, or 5 million dollars is removed from your reward. The faster you complete it, the better off you are.” the voice chimed, seemingly happily. “You control the weather, the animals, natural disasters. However, you all have the same island. If one of you makes it rain, everyone’s island rains. Work together or apart, it is your choice.” the voice said, smug and almost condescendingly. “Good luck, to all. Let your games begin.” FORCED (SIMULATIONS):: “You will be given one hint, per week. And two guesses as to who your programmer is, total. If you do not guess correctly, you will remain here, on the island, until someone wins. Be aware, you cannot talk to each other, and your programmer is someone with a connection to you. Good luck, subjects.” The voice said, before a ringing came into the earpiece seemingly embedded in your ear. Upon standing up, you can see three small backpacks, with names on them. You recognize one as yours. There is a small note attached, “This is your backpack, care for it, as it will hold everything you may need. Choose what you put in it wisely, keep your clues, or throw them out, carry food or water. but you can only carry one. Choose wisely.” ROLEPLAY RULES:: I've bolded the important parts, but read the whole thing. -- Do not, I repeat--do NOT--kill anyone. Period. Whether you have their permission or not, this isn’t a killing roleplay. -- This is also not a romantic or a friendship roleplay. This is a survival roleplay, and should be treated as such. No romance. I guess you CAN flirt, but that’s not going to do anything. Remember, only the Programmers can talk to each other as they all share a language. -- Do not post in a different language Simulations. I can only read English, and that’s the only language we really need. Just know, you can’t talk to each other. Or, you can, but it wouldn’t make sense to either of you. -- All people are ‘trapped’. The Programmers get food and drink, and potty breaks, but really, they can’t leave their computers. Their roleplaying should be focused on what they think of the experiment, and what they do with it. Unless you’re conversing with the other members, there isn’t really an ‘outside world’. -- Out of character chat relating to the roleplay should take place in parenthesis IN the roleplay. If it doesn’t relate to the roleplay, or you’re just commenting on something the roleplay made you think, or do, or act… It can go in an instant message or on the signup sheet. -- Don’t hassle others to reply. In turn, reply. Don’t wait for a week and not reply, if you do not reply in 1 and 1/2 weeks (Unless I’m notified you cannot, or the other members are notified.) you will be removed, and your character replaced. -- The only people who control the weather are the Programmers, I cannot step in and make it rain, they change it, they also can make trees grow fruits, and animals have babies and exist. They cannot however, write, talk, or communicate to the Simulations in ANY way. -- I will NOT be winning. Since I know who is my programmer, it’s not fair for me to figure it out. There is only 1 winner. Not 1 for each group, 1. -- You can NOT go back and reference clues you throw out. Meaning, work with what you’ve got. You can retain a clue for 3 days following when you pick it up, unless it is placed in your backpack. You can either carry all your clues, or 3 small items. It is your choice. -- And, last but not least, this roleplay takes place in real time. Based off of Eastern Standard Time. That’s the east coast of North America. If you need a basis, ask, I’ll give you their time. SIGNED UP:: Programmers:: (The stuff in parenthesis is your task this week. It's like a cool title. ) Amber Ashley (The Banisher) Bowen Korber (The Adult) Van Fabre (The Protector) Simulations:: Tessaline Lien (Italian) Silver Mors (French) Cassidy Kingly (English) Now let's start! Tessaline slowly climbed to her feet, looking around her. "Oh look, backpacks." she said, as though annoyed. She had sand covering her and all over her clothes. She looked like a wreck. "Isn't this just greeeaaaat?" she grumbled, walking over to the backpacks. ... Upon reading the note attached she frowned thinking, 'Well, if I take my clues, I won't be able to carry water. And that one survival guy on TV always says water is important. I guess I'll figure out how to carry water and food in my bag. Water, food, and maybe there will be space for a tool or something.' She then slung the empty backpack over her shoulders, and glanced back at the other two. 'Who are those two? Why am I here? Why are they here?' she wondered, curiously watching the strangers.

I have no clue. But it has Morgan Freeman in it. So it must be good. Okay. I looked through some of your Role Play post. You have a spot if you want it. ^.^
-
Dunno if that'll send a notification from my phone. But maybe? Accepted. I'll edit you in later when I'm on a computer. There is 1 spot left to fill. And I'll make the role play tomorrow, or after this movie. I like movies.
-
I'm working on iiiiiittttt. :PPPP Okay, I've played with you before, so you'll have a spot reserved for ya'. I know you can keep up. The only requirement at current is 1 paragraph, and preferably an ability to spell and use punctuation.
-
Yes you are, and I am back.
-
Go ahead if you want, I'm heading out currently, I'll be back later. ^.^
