  1. I think it's nice, but I wouldn't have anywhere to put it.
  2. I just tend to visit. It's rare I'll spend an hour straight on the site.
  3. I'm looking forward to seeing how the new OS actually works. I'm glad that the differences between the X1 and PS4 are so minimal, it just makes things easier for developers in the long run. I do think Sony needs to be careful. Microsoft has been coming up fast ever since they abandoned pretty much all of their original policies and plans for the Xbox One. Sony can't depend on Microsoft screwing up again if they want to hold the lead they've had, they need to release some good news on the PS4 independent of their competitor.
  4. Not to be a wet blanket here, but that doesn't appeal to me at all. The game had enough control issues with the DS's limited button-scheme. Imagine trying to cram all of that onto a single touchscreen: the d-pad, four face buttons, and two triggers that control the camera and mapped items or magic when held down. That said, I haven't tried TWEWY from the App store, so I could be worried about nothing. And they'd surely rework the control scheme better for a touch-device.
  5. Whew, I'm glad too. I never try to sound abrasive, but I worry that's how it comes off. Good discussion )
  6. Crap I love your sig, haha. Sorry, just wanted to let you know.
  7. Definitely keep them. They'll be those games that I'll get a kick out of playing on the original copy sometime in the future. Go nostalgia!
  8. I figured that might be their reasoning, but their logic is still faulty in my opinion. Seeing anything that happens in a video game as "real" only damages their development as a form of expression; nothing in a video game is real, and should not have anymore influence on a real-life person than those other mediums. I'm not pulling a trigger, I'm pressing a button. Yes it's shaped like a trigger and fires a gun, but I, and millions others, know it's not anything beyond a controller and a screen. The problem happens when impressionable or psychologically damaged minds meet these simulations of violence and take away something the rest of us don't. This is an incredibly small fraction of the population that has existed before violent video games and will exist after, god forbid there should be an "after video games", haha. We can agree that video games are the most immersive media, but the immersion is still a fantasy. They'd do better to educate people about the difference between Call of Duty and Journey and to celebrate the widening scope of video game genres than to imply through omission of other violent materials that reducing the number of violent games would have some magical impact on society. Also, I believe I'm reading way too much into this whole issue, but hey, it's a forum. Plus having worked at a library for several years I'm annoyed that one would attempt to 'collect' any form of expression no matter what the subject matter.
  9. I actually see it as the opposite. If they're concerned about violence in the world, why limit drop offs to just video games? Why not violent movies or comics? Their cause is rendered ineffective by implying that video games make the world more violent, not entire media cultures centered around violence itself. And the only way to stop that from existing is to stop buying such material in the first place, which will never happen.
  10. They likely won't add anything, but I'm willing to speculate for argument's sake: -Capes ftw. -It would be interesting if having a save file of 1.5 unlocked content in 2.5, like some old Keyblades or weapons from the first game. -I too prefer my Unversed blue. As a whole I'm not a big fan of the alternate color palettes in the Final Mixes. It's no dealbreaker, but I'd appreciate the ability to switch them. -A new secret area that offers some hints for KHIII; a secret lab, maybe Braig's room containing notes detailing the process of allying with Xehanort. Something like that.
  11. Social networks, but it wasn't always that way. It gets tough after college.
  12. Perhaps Sora will find a way to connect to Eraqus within Terra's Heart, and the two of them will help free Terra's Heart from Xehanort's occupation.
  13. Roxas is his own person so he'd have to go through his own training and trials.
  14. I want this remix more than 1.5, which is saying a lot cause 1.5 is gonna be killer. The prospect of a BBS playable on consoles is endlessly appealing to me, and KHII Final Mix is the definitive version of the game.
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-6G30LlBvM Love this music. It's almost like a Bond theme. Other than that, most of the final boss themes in Kingdom Hearts are among my favorites.
  16. You've got them ordered from favorite to least favorite already for me. Love the Heartless and the Nobodies mostly equally, though the variety and uniqueness of the Heartless win out. I like the designs and origins of the Unversed but I felt like not enough was done with them. I dislike the Nightmares/Dream Eaters and hope to never see them again.
  17. This sounds fake/like conjecture. Master Xehanort doesn't have a desire to create equilibrium between light and darkness, he wants to reforge the X-Blade and dominate Kingdom Hearts. And the only game that has ever used the phrase "missions" to describe its gameplay structure was 358/2 Days, and there's no way KHIII is going to be structured like that.
  18. devereauxr, on 31 Mar 2012 - 23:16, said: God this is so STUPID. I'm sorry, I love Kingdom Hearts and all, but this is the dumbest, most convoluted implementation of time travel I've ever seen. Why the hell would they do this??? Why would they shoehorn in time travel where it didn't need to be?! GAH. Sorry, I needed to vent.
  19. 2015 is going to be a busy year. The logo is meh, but I always thought the combined bat-supes logo looked dumb anyway. Hopefully DC is finally starting to build a cinematic universe like Marvel has.
  20. I think to answer that question you have to look at other forms of media and see if the term applies anywhere else. Can you be a hardcore reader? A hardcore film-viewer? A hardcore music-listener? I can see people surrounded by books, constantly going to the movies and stocking their DVD collection, and rifling through stacks of records and I'd say yes, those people are what I'd describe as hardcore. Not because they are better at doing those things than others or more devoted, but because those hobbies are the foundation on which they've built a part of their lives. Because gaming is more competitive in nature we associate being a hardcore gamer with being competitive with others, using phrases like "you're not a hardcore gamer if" or "only hardcore gamers (blank)". Being a hardcore gamer has to do with the placement of games in your life, not how good you are at them.
  21. It's not so much "I eat too much" as it is "I should eat healthier" in my case.
  22. Hollow Bastion with Traverse Town as a close second.
  23. What I used to do was enter a fight against Tidus, then kite around him, blocking his running attack for 2 exp apiece. I usually do this until I learn 'scan' or reach level 10-12.
  24. I'd be okay with him coming back, though I don't really see him as a leader of the Heartless. He always seemed better as a separate force, obviously dark and evil, but not needing the Heartless to do his bidding.
