Love this image. The more I look at it the more I like it. I'd have to yes. Not necessarily because it has my favorite games, or is a series I've grown up with, but because I don't think there is another single video game franchise that has affected me more as a whole. It helped me learn to draw, it framed my perception for RPGs as a genre, and became the first series I'd ever learn as much as possible about. The close runners up are Mass Effect, Halo, and Pokemon.

Should the KH series come to an end, would you miss it?
Columned-Munny replied to Lu Xun's topic in Poll of the Week
I would miss the anticipation, but I would rather see it end than go on and on and on. -
I've purchased a couple lately, but PS+ has my backlog so full up it's turned into a frontlog. I'm not sure that's a term...

I think they'll keep it how it was. If they didn't drastically alter CoM's system for re:CoM, then I can't see them changing BBS's for 2.5.

It's so weird that those are finally coming out... I'm meh about most of the first round of games, other than Infamous: Second Son. I'd like to see more of Destiny, and whatever Naughty Dog is doing is going to destroy the world with it's awesomeness, so I have that to look forward to. OH and Mass Effect, cause Mass Effect. I just really love Mass Effect. Regarding the Xbox One, the only thing I'm interested in is Halo 5. I think they're launch titles are more interesting, but I'm not all to into them.

Why Do People Think...
Columned-Munny replied to xVentusx's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
People think it's going to be that late based on Square's history for this past generation. It wasn't unreasonable to expect that KHIII come out on the PS3 yet they never announced it, and the team that had worked on the previous KH's was wrapped up in a game that was continuously delayed. KHII's development time doesn't really compare to the development of a PS4/X1 title; I'm no developer, but it's no secret that the costs for making games jumped between the PS2 to PS3 generation severely. That point aside if the game has really been in proper development since 2010 they would be showing trailers regarding story and wider gameplay selections. What they've showed off so far is more of a mechanics demonstration (basic combat and ride summons) to sate fans of the franchise. I'm not saying it can't come out in 2015, or that it won't. Square has spent a lot of time this generation making decisions that have bewildered some people (the multiple FFXIII sequels, the constant portable KH's instead of a true sequel). Going into this generation folks wanted essentially two games from them: KHIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII. We didn't get those games, and now they're saying at the start of another generation that they're coming soon! I think people have the right to be skeptical in the face of that kind of behavior. -
If it is left out I won't be too despondent. I never tried the multiplayer of BBS though, so I can't speak to how it adds to the experience.

Has your love for games in general decreased over the years?
Columned-Munny replied to Lu Xun's topic in Poll of the Week
Nope, quite the opposite in fact; as I've gotten older I've grown to appreciate games more and more. -
No Wonderland? Not that it's a favorite of mine, but it might be interesting to see it redone. My choices: -I'd like to see a mini-open city area for Agrabah, as well as actually going to the palace. -Lot's more of the Coliseum (Thebes, Mount Olympus, Phil's Island). -Disney Castle, expanded to be bigger than what was in KHII. Really all of the options are things I'd like to see!

How long have you been playing KH?
Columned-Munny replied to Yami Tsuki's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Been with the series since the beginning. Man, that was a long time ago... -
i'm getting sick of kingdom hearts being so censored
Columned-Munny replied to Cucco's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I do find it a bit frustrating that these things to get censored or altered because often the Disney movies are often much more violent. People die! Blood happens! Clayton from Tarzan (which isn't in the KH series anymore but that's not the point) had his neck snapped by getting entangled in vines and falling to his doom! It's not the biggest thing, but extreme censorship feels like an unnecessary harness on Kingdom Hearts' presentation. -
Saying that they're Disney now is a semantics argument; yes, they're owned by Disney, but did not originate from the company. WB has the rights to Batman and the Harry Potter, that doesn't mean those flavors need to ever mix. I can see where you're coming from, but I couldn't disagree more. Light and Darkness have been explored constantly throughout the series, with the exception of 368/2 Days and Coded. I don't believe that Kingdom Hearts needs Star Wars to explore the themes of light and dark, whether they're similar or not. Imagine if in the new Star Wars movie they encountered a Keywielding, magic-using teenager with two anthropomorphic sidekicks, and they justified it by saying "Well, we really wanted to explore the themes of masters and apprentices, and Kingdom Hearts has those, and we really feel their presence helps us explore that topic." People would go mad! I would hate it if Kingdom Hearts just turned into another crossover-fest for Disney, instead of being a series that featured their iconic movies as characters and worlds. Gah, you're right, I always forget about that. I think that one makes more sense, as both Kingdom Hearts and TWEWY have similar styles and the same creator. I should probably expand my statement to mean Square games and Disney-made movies.

No Marvel, no Star Wars. Nothing outside of Disney and Final Fantasy ought to be in the series.

If he said it's Mickey then it's Mickey, though I prefer the delusion that it's Ventus. Waaaaay back before Eraqus had been revealed but after we knew about TAV, I had a theory that the voice was 'the master who trained the old Keyblade wielders before Sora', and that it was guiding him to be the new Keyblade Master. Completely unsubstantiated, but appealing enough.

Nope, I'm finishing up Sora's story in re:CoM at the moment.

Would you like to see KH 3D in a future HD collection?
Columned-Munny replied to Lu Xun's topic in Poll of the Week
Sure, I'd love to see it on consoles. I'd be surprised if it happens anytime soon though. -
Were you expecting that KH HD 1.5 ReMIX would sell well?
Columned-Munny replied to Lu Xun's topic in Poll of the Week
I expected it to sell pretty well, fans have been hungry for this HD remastering ever since the concept first emerged. -
I enjoyed KHFM immensely. re:CoM is a bit of a grind, but that's always been the case.

What operating system do you have installed on your computer?

Question about Kingdom Hearts 1.5/2.5 HD ReMix
Columned-Munny replied to Hyperion's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Gaikai is a streaming company Sony purchased. They've stated that there's the possibility of streaming games via the service from all Playstation generations, but they've yet to announce any details. Look at it this way; you have at least 2-3 years before KHIII is released to worry about PS4. By then it may have even received a price cut. If you have a PS3 already there's no reason not to get 1.5 now; it's awesome, and 2.5 will be awesome. If you don't have a PS3 then yeah, it will be an expensive way to experience the series, but a PS3 bought today means you'll have an excellent backlog of games to tide you over until you make the jump to PS4. OR, surprise option! If you haven't got them already, go get a PS2, KH, re:CoM, and KHII for cheap. Sure, they're not in HD or the Final Mix versions, but it's a much less expensive way to get caught up on the series.
