Let's keep in mind this is another concept trailer showing off stuff from the combat system and the new attraction/summon system and it did a good job showing those off. As for more story driven footage, it seems like Nomura wasn't lying when he said it was very early in development, wouldn't surprise me if they are still working soley on the game engine yet

BBS FM will take a bit longer only because they have to go through the process of porting it to the PS2 (apparently there is a development tool for relatively easy porting from PSP to PS2) before even starting to remaster it for PS3. Everything else on it should be easier since Re:Coded has a lot less story to tell than Days and KH2FM shouldn't have as much lost assets (if any) as KHFM did which should cut down on time. That said I'm guessing same release timeline as 1.5

I've been thinking about this possibility as well that BBSv2 could be resurrected in some form (I'm thinking clips or movie form like Days in 1.5) especially since Nomura has stated a surprise for D23 today

Would you like if there were KH games for Xbox?
jtshiro replied to Lu Xun's topic in Poll of the Week
While I certainly don't mind KH games being released on as many consoles as possible, I have concerns about one console impeding the others performance and having to cut content out for the sake of equality between the consoles -
When do you think Square Enix will announce HD 2.5 ReMIX?
jtshiro replied to Sora96's topic in Poll of the Week
I think 2.5 comes down to how far along KH3 is, if KH3 was a lock for 2015, 2.5 would've been announced this weekend and released in March 2014 in Japan. My guess is that 2.5 gets announced sometime in 2014 and is released in early 2015 -
TGS: Last day. Will announce Kh 2.5?
jtshiro replied to '-Jorge Antonio's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
If my memory serves me correctly, KH 1.5 got announced on the last day of TGS last year so it wouldn't surprise me if it does this year as well. Another thing to keep in mind is since KH3 is quite a ways off they may stretch this process out (the two presumed big titles in 2.5 were quite a bit bigger than KH1 or Re:CoM so it may require a bit more time and maybe a full remake of Re:Coded) to create less of a gap between titles -
The Vita's a brilliant piece of hardware, but it's lacking truly exceptional games that I can't play anywhere else. The 3DS, while it's just a dual screened portable Gamecube,it has a library of truly exceptional games (The quantity is just ok, but it seems like there is a big title being released every month which is pretty solid for them), so I give the nod to a 3DS as best portable for this gen

Would I like to see Marvel and Star Wars worlds in KH3? In the right circumstances yes (probably as a standalone world with no distinct connections to the main plot especially for Star Wars since it doesn't really mesh with the magic elements), but I don't see Star Wars happening in KH3 simply because Disney isn't going to approve it since they probably want the new stuff to be the focus (in addition to Fox still owning distribution rights to Star Wars as I recall), Marvel has a better shot since it meshes a bit better and I can see Disney approving that universe with a KH adaptation of Avengers

Kingdom Hearts 3 FM :o
jtshiro replied to 『R』's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
These aren't incomplete games in the original versions, they aren't missing assets or technically flawed. If you feel that the FMs are a ripoff that's your problem but buying a the same title with a ton of new stuff (you can even transfer save data in BBS to BBSFM which then effectively serves as an expansion) is mostly worth it or you can just wait a year to buy the "complete" version in your eyes, that said I'm done debating the merits of releasing two versions, it's been fun debating about it though -

jtshiro replied to 『R』's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
It's not the same thing though, I'm saying the FM content is at least not finished or even started when the initial version is released. Another scenario to think about with extending development time is that both KH2 and BBS were released at the end of console generations in their original versions, adding a year to that could have been pretty bad for SE (especially for BBS considering SE didn't even bring FF Type-0 west a year later because the PSP market fell off a cliff in particular) -

Also keep in mind that development continued on it after the Japanese release to provide the western release with much of the material that was present in the FM (obviously a couple of cutscenes, the Xemnas boss, and Deep Dive being the big additions), so I can believe that could take 8 months to nail down. I'm not saying that the Final Mixes weren't planned (at least since KH1FM), I'm saying they didn't actively stash 100 percent finished content away for a year. In the end I think the development team never stopped working on the game after the original version's release. -

You are being ignorant by proclaiming your point of view of all companies as FACT without proof (meaning any shred of evidence SE held back any finished content in KH titles). Am I saying it's impossible that they held it back? No, but I have not read anything suggesting that they specifically held back content and there is no data on the original versions discs (which is ultimately where people found out that companies were charging for content that was already on the disc to begin with). -

jtshiro replied to 『R』's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
I'm a naive fool? You are throwing out a conspiracy theory that has no proof since almost none of the said material was present in the original game's disc (which if you did your research has dropped worlds and character models on it but no data relating to it's FM). It is well established they spent several additional months after the initial version's release adding content and tweaking things thanks to fan feedback. -

jtshiro replied to 『R』's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
I agree that it will most likely DLC, what I'd like to see is the same type of expansion that KH2 FM had (additional bosses, dungeons, puzzles) which still stands as my favorite Kingdom Hearts game -
If it was 5 years of focused development I'd agree, but let's keep in mind this team helped out on Re:Coded in 2010, and worked on 3D up until 2012 (which they said they poured a lot time and resources in to make it out for the 10th anniversary) so obviously KH3 didn't become the primary focus until at least after 3D was released. Also everything Nomura said after E3 suggests they are still coming up with concepts for the battle system and only started the process of selecting worlds, meaning they still have a very long road to go and it's on new hardware (granted much more developer friendly hardware but new nonetheless).

My scenario regarding the slowed progress with a fast tracked FFXV-2 isn't likely to happen but it's possible considering what occurred with the FFXIII trilogy taking team members from Vs XIII to get them out on time. Also despite what Nomura said in a past interview years ago (I believe it was right after BBS was released and obviously knew Re:Coded, 3D, and the HD remasters were coming was a realistic goal) , I wouldn't be using that as a basis for predicting KH3's release date. That said it could come out in 2015, but don't be surprised if it's later
