    How else would they meet up with Setzer and get the Airship if they cut the opera scene out? I would cut out the battle with Orthos, but I don't think you can cut the entire thing.

    Yeah they used Aerith, the original actual name in JP and a lot of my friends had a hissy fit. 'Her name is Aeris not Aerith wtf?" and I was all "Um noooo it was a localisation error." But they wouldn't listen to me of course.

    Unfortunately there's not a true to mesh all those elements together, mostly because the settings can vary from medieval to futuristic. I find the one that would be the simplest to make into a movie would be the first one, mostly because all of the other ones have such an in depth and intensive story line the movie would either have to have multiple parts, or be reeeeally long. I think the game that would make the best movie would be FFII. The story itself seems like a movie with all the betrayal and war and death. However; what I truly want to see is the opera from VI as an actual opera. I've seen performed at the Distant Worlds concert, but I'd love to see it more detailed and fleshed out. That'd be awesome ~.~

    Mostly true, yes. One thing are are really good at is getting the dialogue translated better, which causes changes in script. If they re-released FF7 Aerith would have her REAL name, and not her localised name. I know that that is a big thing for a lot of FF7 fans I talk to, they seem to be adamant on the fact that her name is Aeris. They are wrong. >=[
