I think you have a very valid point in your concern about characters slowing down the plot. Sadly it is a situation that I see all too commonly, though I think this will be a problem even if you separate people. If there are, say, two people per group, all it takes is for 2-3 people to take 2+ weeks to post and each group is halted. It might better the odds to have everyone together, because at least then you might be able to work around the people that you are waiting on. Another thought is to have some policy in place for the average post. Say that you would like posts within a certain timeframe (for this example, say 1 week), and after that characters may move on without them. In my experience it keeps things fair whilst also giving a sense of urgency to keep regular posts. I hope this helps some. I have my sheet partially done. I'm just trying to finish the history and personality sections.

Hmm, depending on what you have in mind for the RP, I do not think we would need to have separate threads, as that would really divide our characters tremendously. Again, I am not really certain what you have in mind, though the way that we normally role-play on this site is generally a post every 3-7 days (sometimes longer between posts), ranging anywhere from five lines to four paragraphs or so. I am concerned that separating us would make things very stagnant, as there's some RPs where everyone doesn't post for a full 3-4 weeks or so. Of course, you are the GM and you should host the RP in a manner that you deem fit. I just wanted to offer a bit of insight on what I've found in this RP section, as I know that we're a little different from some RP'ing sites.

I will see if I can throw together a character sheet for this as well, though I am wondering how fast-paced of a role-play that you have in mind (trying to figure out if this will fit my schedule or if it will be too fast-paced for me)? I will likely create a character from the post Keyblade-War era, perhaps a member from one of the unions.

What other Pixar movies do you want to see in KH?
Mystics Apprentice replied to Pixxz's topic in Poll of the Week
I would honestly love to see Inside Out in Kingdom Hearts. I could see the themes really fitting in with the series, and I'd be curious to see how they incorporate light and darkness in with the emotions (would Anger be consumed by darkness?). -

Well, folks, this is it. It's hard for me to believe it, but we are finally in the epilogue and the closure of the RP. It is three weeks since the events of Isopolis, and it is during the coronation of Prince Jynn. Feel free to insert your character(s) however you wish, filling in what happened after Isopolis, if you desire, or skipping right to the present day. You can even write *after* these events, if you wish. I'm thinking that this scene will be brief. Your characters also do not need to be present for the coronation. They could have gone their own separate ways after Isopolis. It is entirely up to you. This has been amazing, you guys. Thank you so much for being involved with this and participating! -
Roleplay Overworld RP *COMPLETE*

Elia sniffled, looking up into Henry's brave, determined face. Her smile was infectious? It delighted her to hear this, and yet it tore at her heart painfully. "Henry . . . why . . . ." The raven-haired fairy fell to her knees, gripping the ground as sobs shook her entire form. Many were grieving, whilst others simultaneously rejoiced at the return of their precious sacrifices. Everyth watched in horror as Henry gave himself up. She extended a hand, its wrinkles fading before her very eyes. Youth flooded through her body, her spine straightening as her white locks turned dark once more. "Henry," she whispered, unable to make it to his side before he was gone. A tear rolled down her cheek as she watched the Source of All Life fade from existence, and Henry with it. Carefully she brought a hand to her chest, chin lowering. "You've taught me how to be human again. You have shown me courage, compassion, love. And you have even saved me from death, at the cost of your own. Thank you . . . Henry." The human princess let out a yelp at about this moment, the weight of a person crashing down and bowling her over. In a tangle of auburn hair and limbs, Athena found herself looking face-to-face with her beloved knight, whom she squeezed with all of her might. "ARTHUR!" she returned, as though the two were in a squeaking match. "You're here! You're alive! Oh, I'm so sorry. In my sacrifice I had to give up ever seeing you again! I made you vanish . . . didn't I?" Clearly, she was clueless about Arthur's own sacrifice, giving up his humanity so that the rest f the world may be saved. Meanwhile, Yevgeni stared down, incredulous, as Nergal begged for forgiveness from the others. "I wouldn't go that far," he drawled, shaking his head. "We're the villains. They're going to execute us, lock us away, or worse, banish us to the depths of Isopolis and the torments within. We do not get happy endings. They won't forget our crimes that easily, nor should they." The blond noticed Aqua fold her arms, seeming exasperated by everything that went on that day. He couldn't help but laugh. "Someone who looks how I feel," he said, before offering her a smile. "Come, you're going to have to seek apprenticeship from someone else after all of this. Your mentor has failed, and I do not think we will be able to practice our magic like we once had. I am sorry." A frown furrowed his brow, as though recollection suddenly hit him. "But I realize that I owe you something. Wasn't there something that you sought from me, before we arrived here in Isopolis? I do not know what will become of me, but seek me out and I will do what I can to help you." ----------------------- As the warden of Isopolis, Soren would know how to guide them to safety, out of the depths of the Forbidden Shrine and back on to the island whence they came. They would find that the halls which they once crossed had changed, everything anew and foreboding. And yet, it somehow had an order to it, which Soren would show them through with ease. At last, adventurers, it is over. To get here you have had to endure hardships and suffering, and yet despite that some of you have found love, joy, warmth, and friendship. Life isn't about the destination, it is the journey, and how you embark on that journey is what brings that life meaning. You have accomplished the impossible, the restoration of the human world, and have erected a new era of unity and peace between the human world and that of the fey. It has been a long journey, and the road to recovery will be longer even still, but in allowing your hearts to guide you, you will surely find your way home. ~*~Epilogue~*~ It was a momentous occasion. The halls were decorated with great splendor, and Kilkis Seres was flooded with tourists. Today was the day that Jynn Venas, the crown prince of Kilkis Seres and son of Shiva de la Alexandria, was being coronated and officially recognized as the true king. Three weeks had passed since the events in Isopolis, and everyone was processing it in their own way. Elia stood meekly among the crowds of people, though her normal warmth and joy was not present that day. She would smile when people would comment on her dress, or try to praise her heroic deeds on that fated day. However, it was a false smile, as no joy spread through her heart. She could not celebrate when she was grieving the loss of a friend. A hero. A warrior, who sacrificed himself so that his comrades could be whole once again. Earlier, she had wished upon Rufus, asking him to restore Henry. The djinni had done his utmost, and yet Henry was nowhere to be found. Athena stood alongside Arthur, wherever he may be, grasping his hand tightly and offering him a warm smile. "Imagine this being you one day," she said playfully. "That is, if you succeed in receiving my father's blessing . . . !" Other faces, too, were present at the coronation, one being Everyth Castanova, who stood silently on the sidelines, as well as King Alderon, who was exchanging jokes with Draksis, if he were there, and Alastor, if he were listening. Yevgeni Malachite was not present, though his whereabouts were not known by the majority, nor did the majority care.- 1,623 replies

Kolm blinked several times, surprised at Galla's invitation to sit with her. From what he'd seen of the necromancer up till that point, she'd only shunned people away. The short dark-haired youth complied, taking a seat alongside Galla and leaned forward, propping his forearms along his knees. He considered her question thoughtfully, as though trying to recall how he'd arrived in Haven in the first place. It felt like so long ago, but really it had only been earlier that day. "Well, it was nightfall," he told her. "I had just booked my current room for the next week and had gone to bed with a headache. I had the strangest dream of a voice, a calling, and I found myself sprawled on the floor in my room in the Haven, violently ill until Lukkel helped me." He shook his head and gave a dry laugh. "I know, it sounds silly, doesn't it? Well, how about you, Galla? Do you remember when you first got here?" A moment's silence lingered between them, before he added carefully, cautiously: "Have you . . . ever met any of the folks in charge of the place? Have you ever wanted to?" Call him obsessed, Kolm couldn't stop thinking about the higher-ups since they arrived, and Winona's remarks on them had only driven his curiosity further. Demyx's And Luxord's Somebody Names
Mystics Apprentice replied to Smithee's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I've heard the possibility that Demyx's Somebody name could be Demy, though I personally am more partial to Myde. As for Luxord, yeah, I completely agree with @Fates Chance XIII and think Ludor is the most probable name. -
Why do people hate Kingdom Hearts 3D?
Mystics Apprentice replied to Allwil13's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
For me it was mostly the time travel aspect that made me dislike DDD. I felt like the plot started to get a little wonky with this game in general. I also didn't care for Flowmotion, or the Dream Eaters. There was a lot about this game that just felt kind of blah to me. There was nothing particularly interesting about the storyline until the very end, and even that, as I mentioned, introduced time travel which I am not a fan of in the KH series. I did, however, really enjoy some of the new worlds, and I didn't hate this game by any means. It's just one of my least favorite in the franchise, if I were to choose one. -
I've never played Talisman, but I think I need this board game to add to my Legend of Zelda Clue and Nintendo Monopoly. I'm a hoarder of collectible board games.

I recently purchased a wig from Arda Wigs and am going to try styling it myself. They look high quality and I've heard great things about them. Beyond that, I would recommend Etsy. I have seen some great ones on there, and while they're a little pricy I like the fact that it is supporting a person as opposed to a Chinese corporation. Good luck on your cosplay.

Roleplay Overworld RP *COMPLETE*
Mystics Apprentice replied to Mystics Apprentice's topic in Roleplaying
The woman's visage with hollow eyes bored into Henry, as though gazing through his very soul. "How very interesting, indeed. You would sacrifice what is left of your existence to spare your friends their parting gifts?" "Humanity is curiouser yet," the masculine voice spoke, craning his neck to glance at Henry. Henry's words were not taken as well by Elia, however, who screamed his name and bolted to his side, throwing her arms around his torso and burying her face into him. "No, Henry, no!" she sobbed. "There must be another way! I would–I would choose never healing again, if it means that you could live!" She withdrew her face from him, tears creating streaks along her dirty cheeks. "We have come so far, done so much. Please, don't do this!" "Traditionally we would decline your request," the woman's voice interjected, ignoring Elia. "We only fulfill one request, which is unified amongst you to restore that which has been lost below the sea of clouds. However–" "What you ask if of a different nature," spoke up the fifth voice, who had remained silent until now. "For you see, we are Isopolis, and Isopolis is us. You have bequeathed your sacrifices to obtain us, which under normal circumstances would be ours for eternity. You seek to barter, however, your life for those sacrifices. An act of selflessness, which we have not seen in many millennia." "As such," the elderly woman continued, "we shall grant your request and return those lost gifts, provided that you will part ways with your body and soul." Behold! the voices spoke in unison. Slowly they rose, an eerie blue light emanating from within them, and above the twilight sky grew dark. Stars twinkled overhead, though slowly they descended upon each party member, bearing the gifts that they had painstakingly bestowed upon Isopolis in order to get there. Memories returned to those who lost them, bodies became whole, and healing and time were unwound. Elia would feel her white magic return and spread through her fingertips, while she desperately clung to Henry. "Please don't take him!" she cried out, though to no avail. The Source of All Life was deaf to her, as it focused its energy and expanded a ring of light. It spread out through Isopolis, creating a shockwave that rippled throughout the City of Isolation, bounding across the Overworld, and the rebirth of the World Below. "The two worlds run parallel once more," it said. "And now, we must return to our slumber–" "Until another great calamity falls–" "And we are summoned again–" "You shall come with us," it said to Henry. "For such is the exchange of your request." With that, Henry would find himself enveloped in a blue light, momentarily seeming intwined with the Source of All Life, before it all faded away into nothingness, leaving the remaining party alone, in the City, under a sky streaked with stars. Kolm's expression darkened at Galla's words, his gaze averting hers as he instead looked straight ahead. "Understood," he said flatly. "In that case, I'll check around, see if there's a room that you can rest in and that way you can have some privacy." He didn't like to think about what sort of hardships that Galla endured from others. Perhaps her and him were even more alike than he once thought. How they chose to handle their pasts, however, seemed vastly different. Before he left a serving girl poured both himself and Galla drinks in fine goblets. He accepted his, glancing at the dark liquid within before giving her a nod of gratitude. She seemed to watch him momentarily, to which he blatantly watched back. Why did she stare? There wasn't anything particularly curious about him, or so he thought. Had she . . . seen him use blood magic? No, it was impossible. The raven-haired youth poked around, bothering some girls as they painted one another's faces to ask if there was somewhere Galla could rest up. Eventually a wisened old woman overheard Kolm's inquiries and ushered him over. "You want a place to rest, do you?" she asked, adjusting her wide glasses that seemed much too large for her face. Kolm hesitated. "Well, yes and no. I am looking for a place for . . . my colleague to rest." "An odd inquiry," she said. "No, not really." They both locked eyes, until finally the old woman laughed, patting Kolm on the shoulder and making him cringe away. "Fine, fine. If you insist that your inquiry isn't strange. In that pink building over there is a lodge. Take your friend there and tell them Inge sent you. They'll see to a place for your friend to stay." Kolm offered her a slight bow, arms pinned to his sides. "You have my thanks." At this Inge shrugged, withdrawing her cane and standing up to full height. "Maybe you'll owe me a favor one day. Maybe." This struck Kolm as curious, though he found himself only watching her, dumbfounded, as she strode away. He wasted little time in returning to Galla's side, this time proffering better news that would hopefully appeal to her ears. "I've found somewhere that you can rest alone. Can you stand or move at all? If not, well, you can ride on my back and I could take you there." He shot a glance across the plaza, oddly hoping that Lucia wasn't watching and, if she were, that she would not get the wrong idea from it all. He did spot the flaming red hair of the woman, though the moment he noticed her she vanished. ---------- Rhiannon nodded toward Hogarth at his explanation of Pang. She couldn't fathom what ails might've troubled him, but it was not her place to judge. Whatever the reason, she was certain that it was justifiable. "I like Berybrillo better, too," Rhiannon voiced softly, folding her hands in her lap and carefully meeting the chef's gaze. "Uzumeashy seems . . . chaotic." The conversation with Uzumeashy didn't last long, however, as their favorite chef disappeared into the kitchen again to fetch other servings for paying customers. A smile brightened the blonde's face as Hektor arrived to join them, to which Rhiannon responded warmly. "Greetings, Hektor! There's no need to apologize. I am sure that I would be delighted by any tea that you may offer." Propping her chin in her fist, Rhi brought her gaze down to the menu screen below, embedded into the table itself. "Let's see. I think they offer tea here, though granted it is probably not as fine as what you had back at home." She paused, considering her words before proffering the question: "Hektor, what was your home world like?" Shortly after Hektor arrived, Reksis and Ghost joined them at the table, the latter flittering over to each of them in turn. "Hello, Reksis," greeted Rhiannon. "Did you find us okay?"

What got you into Kingdom Hearts?
Mystics Apprentice replied to gotitmemorized's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
My younger sister had gotten Days and Re:coded for her birthday back in 2011'ish. She said that they were really good and that I should give the series a try. Since we have very similar interest in games, and I am a huge fan of Final Fantasy, I had considered it. It wasn't until I watched some of the 358 Days cutscenes over her shoulder, though, that I became interested enough to play. I greatly enjoyed Re:coded, it being my first KH game to play. I then had to purchase a PS2 just to play KH1, 2, and Re:Chain of Memories. I was a very avid fan very fast. -

Saiyaka from Sword Gai. All she did was scream Gai's name and tried to get herself killed on multiple occasions (along with being ungrateful to the guy who literally up and saved her life). -
Who's the best guy of the KH franchise?
Mystics Apprentice replied to polowogs's topic in Poll of the Week
Ah, for me it is a huge toss-up between Riku and Terra. I really enjoyed Riku's development throughout the series, but I love how Terra is so mature and put together. His connection with Aqua and Ven is just so sweet, and I love that he is a pillar of strength for them to lean on.- 12 replies

For me it is a very close toss-up between Aqua and Xion. I like Aqua for her resolve, strength, and simultaneous kindness, while I think Xion is just a very sweet character and I love her interactions with Roxas and Axel. -
Roleplay Overworld RP *COMPLETE*
Mystics Apprentice replied to Mystics Apprentice's topic in Roleplaying
The Source of All Life listened to the requests of each, gaze shifting from Eclaire to Mariel, Helios and Aura. The face of a young woman turned in Jynn's direction. Its eyes were a myriad of green, blue, and gold, with pupils that were nonexistent. "Fey and humankind are such odd beings," it said offhandedly. "First you seek to destroy, and now you wish to revive? Such is the course of fey and humans ever since the dawn of time. It always has been, and it always will be–" "And yet"–a deeper, masculine voice sounded, the speaker seeming to come from another visage of the source–"you would desire to restore that which has been lost, to repeat the cycle once more?" "It always has been," said a third, "and always will be. We must abide by our laws and grant that which they request, regardless of the foolishness behind their actions." It spoke as though their words were justified, regardless of whether it insulted those around. One visage of the Source, its eyes slanted and wide with a triangular face, turned toward Henry, seeming thoughtful. "It would seem that someone has not yet voiced his desire," it said, beckoning Henry forward. "There is something burning within you to say, and yet you still your tongue. Come forth and speak, else we shall restore that which has been lost and return to our sleep." ------ Meanwhile, Everyth withdrew her longsword, blocking Soren's attack upon Helios and Odin. "Are you mad?!" Everyth cried out. "What are you doing? We are working with him!" It was then that Jynn explained that they had traversed time, to which Everyth's brow pinched in a frown. "I do not believe it," she said, stepping forward. "For if it were true, why do I have no memory of this?" She turned upon each face quizzically. It seemed that they were all in on this "traveling from the future" thing, and yet wouldn't she be as well? How could they all speak the same note, if it were not true? Across the room Yevgeni's eyes turned toward Odin and those holding him, a bemused smile playing upon his lips as he watched Odin struggle against his friends. Perhaps he did not desire the Source for himself yet, though Yevgeni found it difficult to believe. What could have swayed him, if not for his sacrifice? He had lost. They had won. His years of trying, plotting, and planning were wasted. I have failed you, father. My king. I am so very sorry. Forgive me. Yevgeni's gaze shifted to the floor, warmth welling up in his eyes as though tears threatened to rupture. Never would he see Veriti again, nor Shiva, the other sister whom he'd killed in order to gain this chance. This moment. What a waste of life; even if he did not see eye-to-eye with the late queen, he still did care for her, even marginally. "Thank you, Nergal," he said without glancing this way. "I know that I have promised you much, the reward of the Source of All Life being among them, and yet sadly I have taken that away. As the prince says, we have returned from an alternate future, one which I do not wish upon you or any of us."- 1,623 replies

Hey, @HeartOfFerria I think you might've missed Kolm's interaction with Galla, as I didn't see her mentioned. -
I've watched the trailer a couple of times now and it is difficult to understand the premise. It seems as though they are fighting something spiritual? Perhaps nature? The movie obviously takes place in the fall, as they have emphasized leaves and whatnot. I enjoyed the first film, though I agree with @Tyranto Rex and hope that they aren't just shoving sequels out to make money (which it seems they are). I felt that the first film concluded things nicely and that there's really not much further story to tell. I will be curious to see what this is about. Also, I can't help but keep laughing every time I see Elsa take her hair down to charge up the frozen wave. XD I'm just thinking "Oh? And this is necessary because . . . ?"

Mystics Apprentice replied to Vaude's topic in Roleplaying
My thanks for understanding, @Vaude! I predict things slowing up with Overworld soon enough with its closure, so I will be able to focus all of my attention on The Haven quite soon. I think the feast in the Aquafolk village could lead to some opportunities on plot and character development, though it depends on what you have in mind for the feast itself. Do you have ideas for story reveals, or would our character interactions be predominately filler? The other issue to consider with the feast, I realize, is the other characters back at the Haven, but they could also be building character over tea. Ultimately it's up to you and your preferences. I know that I'm good with either option and don't have much of a preference. I am personally curious to see how the feast turns out, but if you would rather move forward to the next mission I think that's fine as well. -

Sorry that I'm a little slow to claim the rewards, but I have updated Kolm and Rhiannon's character sheets to reflect the new active powers that they have received. Kolm will be taking dexterity/maneuvabilty up, and Rhiannon will gain shattering weapon. As for Rhiannon's powered up ability, I will put this toward her shield. I'm really enjoying the expansion on everyone's characters.
