Mystics Apprentice replied to Aqua7KH's topic in Roleplaying
I'm ready to do this. -
I don't know if they'll announce KH4 as early as they had KH3. If that's the case, it might take as long but it might not feel like it since we don't "officially" know that it's coming until much later. I don't think it'll take quite as long as KH3 has regardless, though. KH3 has a lot of loose ends to tie and a huge story to complete, whereas KH4 will be starting anew outside of the Xehanort Saga, so it might not be as complex to develop.

Lovely drawing, Elrandir. I really wish I could capture my characters into works of art like that. Also, I want to apologize for the delay in progression. I'm just awaiting the finalized compilation for the meeting scene, but I'm hoping we can get that done tonight. -
I would be surprised if Nomura and the development team didn't already know about the leaks. It has become pretty well known that they exist on the Internet, and, real or not, I'm sure that someone has brought it to his attention. As for delaying KHIII, I cannot imagine that would be a possibility for the leaks alone. It would be punishing millions of fans just for the sake of teaching one person a lesson, which is really hard to imagine plus very unprofessional. They would lose many fans and anger a lot of people. Not to mention this would cost both Square and Disney money, which I seriously don't think they would want to pay just to teach one person a lesson. I don't think companies can really take that approach when it comes to doing business; they have too much to consider.

Mystics Apprentice replied to AwesomeKHfan's topic in General Discussion
My mom and I played practically my entire Nintendo collection together. So many great times and wonderful memories. I think most notably we played Kirby, Mario Kart 64, and Ocarina of Time. We also had a huge blast playing Gauntlet Legends for the N64 with my uncle. -
Roleplay Overworld RP *COMPLETE*
Mystics Apprentice replied to Mystics Apprentice's topic in Roleplaying
--Queen Shiva -- Leaving Kilkis Seres' Camp-- The queen offered Meksis a shy smile as he admitted being more open with her than others. While she didn't know Meksis very well, he did possess a few traits that reminded her greatly of her guardian, Maxis. She wondered if they were very good friends; she really hadn't seen them together very much. "Worry not, dear Meksis. I know Lord Raiden, and that he will not bring me harm unless I choose to bring harm upon myself. I cannot say that I know the outcome of our meeting, but I can be certain that what it will bring is better than what would happen should I decline this meeting and we resume our battle come dawn." She grasped his hand and nodded, bowing her head deeply before him. "And . . . thank you, for your belief in me and your service. It is with people like you that I know Kilkis Seres' fate is in good hands." The queen then released his hand, brushed her braid over her shoulder, and strode into the dark of the night, full moon reflecting on her minimal armor as her form disappeared into the forest. --Yev Malachite - Healer's Tent: Kilkis Seres-- What Nergal proffered should've raised red flags to the elf, and perhaps it had, but he managed to blind himself by his own desires. A powerful companion was something he needed, someone with the same vision as himself that could aid him in his goals. Too much time had already been spent setting this stage; it was time to take things to the next step. Yev's fingers froze on the dagger at his waist, its blade wrapped in thin strips of worn leather. What they were proposing was worse than treason and an utter betrayal of King Alexander, and yet, sadly, felt necessary. "I fear that this war will not end in our favor," Yevgeni replied grimly, snatching the dagger by the hilt and holding it on his outstretched fingertips. "Raiden is adamant and Shiva is stubborn, and yet the two have the strangest way of seeing things eye for eye and working them out. Should this happen"--he extended the blade out toward Nergal--"I entrust you to do what you must. I believe that I do not need to explain what this is?" If Nergal was as well-versed and ancient as he claimed, he would likely have no trouble identifying the weapon that he proffered. With that, Yevgeni rose from his position, standing over the wounded man. "I believe that we will do great things in the future to come," said Yevgeni. "And perhaps show Kilkis Seres a golden era that it has never seen before, but very much deserves." --Curvis Sourati and Elia Cabret -- Kilkis Seres camp-- The brunet froze in place as Aqua had been leading him to what seemed her tent. He raised a brow apprehensively. "Your tent?" he repeated, running his tongue over his dry lips. "It's alright. I do not wish to invade your privacy. If you have the robe I would gladly tread to the outskirts of camp and change somewhere within the forest." Perhaps it wasn't an invasion of privacy, but still. He felt awkward entering her personal tent, especially since he just met her, and they were surrounded by those who would likely want to kill him on the spot, let alone if they noticed Aqua and Curvis together. He hated to think of what they might do to her. When Aqua approached Elia stood up, hands clasped behind her back as she eyed her friend suspiciously. It had indeed been a while since they had seen one another, and Elia had mixed feelings about their encounter. "I suppose you do," she said finally in response, flinging herself back down alongside Jari. "I will be here when you want to talk." She felt dejected, to which she probably informed Aqua of given her stiffness in response.- 1,623 replies

Where the Apple Falls Re:Mix (Sign Ups/Discussion)
Mystics Apprentice replied to Aqua7KH's topic in Roleplaying
Hmm, I feel that it may be a bad idea for me to add another character, as I'd hate to try to juggle too many and be unable to keep up. If I did, though, what would you think of Dawn having a little brother who belongs to Sora and Kairi (a half-sibling)? I could also change Nora to a younger brother to Dex, but I do rather like Nora and see some possibilities for her down the road. It's a tough call. -

Thanks for reminding me. I got rather busy with the holidays. Name: Nora Age: 17 (too close to Dex?) Gender: Female Appearance: Parents: Roxas and Xion Abilities/Powers: Mirroring (can adopt the abilities of others as her own, though may only adopt one ability at a time from another user). Dark magic. Personality: Soft, subtle, and brave. Nora has acquired attributes from both of her parents. She has her mother's tenderness, and her father's ambition. She is always determined to do what is right, fair, and just, though finds that her efforts often lead to pain and heartbreak rather than aid. Bio: Nora grew up in Fatefaire alongside her brother, Dex. The two are rather close in age, and yet Nora couldn't desire a better brother. She desires to protect and do the right thing, though her mirroring abilities have thus far proved to be more of a curse than a blessing. She has a fascination with old relics, novels, and art, and isn't the most social of butterflies. Nora is apprehensive about entering this academy with her brother, but hopes that it will be the start of a new life for her. Also, I realize that we have a lot of female characters. Would it be better if I change this character to someone else entirely, chiefly one who is of the opposite gender? -

Okay, here's my sheet for Fiona. I'll probably make a second character as well, but I'm still trying to decide on this individual for sure (won't be Jade, as I just don't have enough inspiration to continue him). Name: Fiona Villiers Age: 15 Gender: Female Appearance: Parent(s): Serah and Snow Villiers Abilities/Powers: Inheriting the magical properties from both of her parents, Fiona specializes in white magic and healing. She also has control of ice, though this skill is still quite weak. Snow has trained all of his children how to fight and protect themselves, and Fiona is no exception. She is highly skilled in martial arts, so no one in their right mind would try to cross this girl! Personality: Fiona is soft, gentle, and nature-loving. She is a girly girl and yet spends a great deal of time outdoors. While she may be dainty and softspoken, she isn't afraid to protect those that she holds dear, and if the time came where she had to fight there would be no hesitation in doing so. Despite this, however, Fiona is easily frightened, and often looks up to her older sister, Val, for guidance and protection. Bio: Fiona is the middle child of Serah and Snow, with an older sister named Valerie and a little brother named Danny, who is six years of age. She treasures her position of the middle child, even if she does envy her older sister every now and again for being granted so many privileges. While Fiona is studious she dreads school, just because she hates the peer pressure and seeing other kids being bullied. Her life has been predominately normal, with the exception of her dad frequently going off to "be a hero" and being taught to hate villains all of her life. She does wonder about the Forgotten Isle, however, and often feels sorry for the villains' seclusion. (The older sister portion is subjective, depending on whether Riku decides to bring Val back. ) -

That would be pretty awesome, actually. I was just thinking that half the fun for Fiona would be gone without her big sister around. -

I would love to get involved in this again. : ) I will probably bring Fiona (Serah and Snow's daughter) back into this, if possible, and I think I also had Jade who was Xehanort and Maleficent's son. Would this work for the RP? I'll try to get character sheets up soon. Life has been busy lately but I'm managing to find more time to get back into the groove of things again. : ) It would be fantastic to RP with you again, Aqua! I've missed seeing you on this forum! And boo, I thought Pooh Bear and Anna would be the perfect pairing. Just kidding, of course. -
I think Dream Eaters would make the most sense, unless perhaps it were Keyblades. I kind of cracked up at the thought of catching all of the Disney characters. I could see throwing a Pokeball at Jasmine.

I think it really depends on what kind of games you like and what type of storylines you find yourself most intrigued by. Each Final Fantasy game is set in a vastly different universe with ofttimes very different scenarios, so depending on your tastes you may favor some titles over others. I'll try to give a brief description on each of my favorites and why I liked them: Final Fantasy X: Probably the most similar to Kingdom Hearts. Turn-based combat, simple to grasp, though rather linear. This is great if you don't like to search for objectives but bad if you like a game with a world map. Has voice acting and cutscenes. Final Fantasy VI: My absolute favorite. The characters were amazing, the world was great, and the music and storytelling were phenomenal. It is an old-school RPG, however, so if you don't like sprites, lack of cutscenes, and voice-acting, this game may not be for you. A great representation of the Final Fantasy series and one that has a lot to do. It also features a world map, so the game isn't linear and it's possible to wander off and do multiple things prior to your next objective if you wish. Final Fantasy V: Very similar to VI only not as good, in my opinion. The story was weaker, but what set this game apart was its unique combat style and the job system. If you like customizing units for battle and choosing a strategy based on your character's classes, you may like this game. However, I wouldn't recommend this to be a first go-to if you're new to the series. Final Fantasy IV: It's a classic, and I think that's why I love it so much. The story and characters are great, and the gameplay is simple and easy to get used to. It is a bit basic, however, and it has an older feel than even VI, so depending on whether you like older games should determine if you play this one. Final Fantasy IX: I love this game. It blends attributes that I enjoy from both IV and X. It has cutscenes, though no voices, and has a slightly more modern flair in terms of graphics and gameplay. It is set in a medieval'ish era and has a great story and cast of characters. I think this would be a great intro to the series. It is simple and doesn't have the best story, but I liked it, and I really loved the characters. Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2: I wouldn't recommend XIII-3, partly because the gameplay is annoying but also I wouldn't jump that far into the series. XIII and XIII-2 seemed like very different games, though, and after playing both I think you could probably pick them up independently. I preferred XIII-2 myself because I loved the story, and felt that the pace was better than in XIII. The plot was great in both, but XIII-2 had better characters. These two are definitely more modern, and if you enjoy high def graphics and voice acting these would be the way to go. They are rather linear, however, so that is something to consider. I wouldn't recommend I, II, or III to start, and I didn't really like VII very much. It's a good game and if you're an avid FF fan I think you'd like it, but I think it's a little overrated and wouldn't be where I'd recommend to start. I have never played VIII or XII, though I have heard that XII is a lot like X. XI and XIV are online games, and I've heard fantastic things about Final Fantasy XV but have yet to play it. TLDR: my favorites, in order, are VI, IX, IV, X, and XIII-2, but I also like old-school games so my opinion might be a little different. Hope that helps!

I want to wish a very special friend a very happy birthday today. To a person who's smart, funny, caring, and always such a joy to be around. Our friendship has impacted my life in many positive ways, and I'm quite certain that you have had quite a similar impact on others as well. The world needs more kind and wonderful people like you. : ) I'm glad that you were brought into the world on this day all those years ago! Happy Birthday, Wakeless!

Sorry to be a pain, but how does Soren know that Shiva is leaving? I may be missing something, but I didn't see any reason why he would know of her departure, as she's tried to keep it rather private, so I was curious. I'm not too sure about her having an accomplice, as this may significantly alter the course of events that had been planned out in advance. If you have an idea for it, though, feel free to post it or PM me and we can see about trying to make it work. -

Happy belated birthday! 22 is an awesome age. I had a lot of great things happen in that year; perhaps you will, too. ; ) Thanks for the kind wishes and well words, everyone! I think I'm in agreement to keep things going through the season, if we can. I just edited my post to include some more characters, and I'm hoping to finish up the Raiden/Shiva conversation with Vaude soon so that we can start rolling into the fourth and final arc of the RP. Thanks for the input! -

Roleplay Overworld RP *COMPLETE*
Mystics Apprentice replied to Mystics Apprentice's topic in Roleplaying
--Shiva -- Leaving the Kilkis Seres camp-- The queen expected no less from Meksis; of course the chaperone would be resistant to her meeting with their archenemy, alone of all things. At least he remained respectful of her wishes, even when voicing his own opinion. She placed a hand on her chest. "I understand you reasoning, and I thank you for your concern. It is my decision to meet with our enemy in hopes of coming to a peaceful resolution. If I know anything about Lord Raiden it is that he hates bloodshed, and this war was not something that he wished upon any of us. And, should I have to use force to get him to cooperate"--her fingers brushed the hilt of her sword at her hip--"then I will do what I must." Before she left, however, Meksis brought up Soren, to which the queen tensed. "I will give him the chance to prove himself and earn his redemption, but that is all that I can proffer him. He betrayed me once, even fought and slew my men, and while I may have his word now I would be a fool to trust him again, even if he is sincere. Once he shows me he is trustworthy I will trust him, but only then." Shiva stole a glance at the sky, the moon shining brightly upon their faces through parted clouds. "Now, I must go. I assume that I can trust you to watch over our sentinel friend and ensure that he is indeed on our side." --Yevgeni Malachite-- The blond straightened, watching Nergal intently. The man made him more than wary, and everything in his body screamed at him to turn away from that healer's tent and not return. And yet, curiosity and a desire to see things through won him over. "An elevated existence? Like a god?" He crossed his legs, gripping his elbows as he leaned in closer to Nergal so that he could speak softer. "I am still failing to see why I should accept your aid when I could easily accomplish my own means on my own." The truth, however, was that Yev needed allies. Powerful ones, ones that he could trust and aid him in his ultimate goals. He had some acquaintances, earned the trust of a few, but none that would help him succeed in his vision of a revolutionary world. Could Nergal secure this for him? Did he trust Nergal to do this for him? "It may not be too late for the queen," Yev said slowly, reaching to an inner pocket of his robe and withdrawing a dagger wrapped in worn leather. "She may still be reachable. I believe I owe King Alexander to at least give her the chance, though thus far my words to her fall upon deaf ears, and she seeks the advice from those whom will not aid her." "How do I know that I can trust you? What can you give me that I cannot guarantee on my own?" He had so many questions, and yet he was being won over. Nergal seemed earnest and enthusiastic, two things that he needed if his mission were to be a success. --Everyth Castanova -- Mystras camp-- The slender woman returned to camp after her meeting with Henry, slipping in unnoticed by the fey knights that stood guard of the entrance. No one seemed to notice her at all, and a part of her wondered if she were merely a ghost to them. She found her cot and slid onto it, rolling onto her side and bringing her knees up to her chest. It felt so lonely there, not even her human comrades paid her any heed or took any interest to her or her well-being. She never had many any friends in Alderon's army, apart from perhaps Effie. Many times she felt alone and ostracized, and it didn't help matters that most thought of her as a witch that should be burnt at the stake. A silly grin crossed her face as she closed her eyes, thinking back to Henry and what he thought she implied in her request. She hadn't really thought about it before, but now she couldn't help but wonder what it would've been like to have been in his arms in that particular moment, feeling a sense of belonging, warmth, and security under the protection and approval of the dreadnaught. At least Henry seemed to approve of her, unlike everyone else. Eventually the raven-haired woman drifted off to sleep, curled in a ball on her cot within the corner of the room. --Curvis Sourati -- Arriving with Aqua at the Kilkis Seres camp-- Curvis looked around expectantly as Aqua announced their arrival, though was mildly disappointed when he saw nothing particularly noteworthy. The only true differences between the campgrounds of the opposing fey were that of quality: the tents seemed to be made from slightly more expensive materials, and they extended over more land. It seemed that Kilkis Seres indeed had the larger army, though the young knight was uncertain on which troops were of better training. "Thank you," he said to Aqua at last. "You didn't have to bring me here, and yet you did. I do not wish to bring any trouble upon you. As such, I will inform the queen that I came here of my own volition and found my own way. Whatever my fate, I will allow it." He did, however, think twice about strolling around their campgrounds in apparel of the opposing army. It would probably bring much fury into the hearts of the soldiers before they even had a chance to hear what he had to say. "Say, might you have a spare robe that I could borrow, or know where I may be able to change clothing? I may antagonize your people by the very sight of me, I fear." It was then that he realized something--or someone--had Aqua's attention beyond himself; he wasn't even sure if she could hear him. --Elia Cabret -- Kilkis Seres campgrounds-- It slightly surprised the young fairy when she saw Jari burst into tears. She drew her face from his shoulder and looked up into his usually bright and energetic face. It filled her with fear to see him this way; the kitsune wasn't supposed to be so distraught. So far he'd always been so cheerful and optimistic. But, perhaps that was before he had lost a friend, and watched so many die before his very eyes. Elia took one of his hands, pressing it to her damp cheek. "I don't think I can go out there again, if the battle goes on," she murmured softly, shaking her head. "I don't want to be a deserter, and I want to remain loyal, but I don't think I can do it again. I don't think I can see . . . well, all of that again." Her gaze surveyed the many soldiers within the premises. Many of them had a rather empty look in their eye, a few of them clutched bottles that Elia highly suspected to consist of liquor. Did they secretly feel the same way inside that Elia felt? Did they lose best friends today? Family? It was while she scanned the crowd that her eyes fell upon an old friend, one that she hadn't seen since she'd undergone training under Yevgeni. Elia stood, watching Aqua with hesitation, uncertain of how she should feel to see her. She then noticed a brown-haired young man making a motion toward her, one that distinctly didn't look to be from Kilkis Seres . . . or perhaps fey at all. --King Alderon -- Mystran camp-- The king listened intently as Draksis gave his report, eyes closed all the while. He finally nodded when Draksis was finished, indicating that he was indeed listening despite seeming to have drifted off. "I see," was his response at last. "So this 'Henry' is working on our side now. How interesting, the way that the world works." He coughed into his arm, only to find traces of blood upon it. He took several deep breaths before finally continuing, his voice slightly more strained than it had been previously. "It seems that we have gained the upper hand, despite having fewer numbers. I would expect no less, what with your Black Knights and the Mystran mages. If you would, please inform Lord Raiden that I wish to speak with him. I would like to know what his next course of action is, and what integral role we shall play. "For now, I shall rest. This old man was nearly sent to an early grave today. That succubus woman was more powerful than I had initially anticipated."- 1,623 replies

Wow, I was certainly gone for a bit. Sorry about that. I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still alive and will be an active member of society. This move, for some reason, took a lot more out of me than usual, perhaps because the place that we moved into has some rather irksome issues. Anyways, I was wondering how busy everyone was with the holidays? After Vaude and I complete the Raiden and Shiva encounter would everyone like to take a seasonal break, or continue straight on through? I fear taking a break in addition to this latest break may lead to a dying RP, but if everyone feels this is a good idea I think we can make it work. Thanks for being so patient with me, everyone! You guys are the best. -
I just wanted to say that I'm definitely still interested in this, if you're still hosting, and I'll try to get my character sheets up soon. I just moved and things have been a little topsy turvy on my end.

Just wanted to give you guys a quick heads up that I'm moving this Friday and have a lot to do between that and Thanksgiving, so I may not be online very much for the rest of the week. I'll try to get a post in before I go, though! I'm not really planning a true timeskip as opposed to a direction being given, as well as maybe a timeskip into the next morning. There will probably be other time skips at some point, but none planned at the moment. Go for it! Dang it, this time I actually forgot about the PM. As for the final arc, there's probably going to be more conclusion than build up of plot, or at least that's how I'm seeing it. Everything that has happened so far has really been leading up to the end result, and now it's getting ready to all play out. -
Hey, Lexi, I do indeed remember you. : ) I've often wondered what happened to you after you left the site. I'm glad to see that you are okay. It takes a lot of bravery to own up to mistakes and admit what you've done wrong, so I commend you there. We did speak on some deep topics, some of which I'm no longer certain are true, but I won't hold this against you. We all make mistakes and do things that we aren't proud of. Good luck in your future endeavors.
