  1. Aw, I love that! Really loved that scene, too. It was just so...Sora-like, ya?
  2. I'm kind of weird, I don't usually like mixing things, hehe, but I agree that BbS was already a lot like Star Wars. I think *some* elements could be taken from Star Wars and placed into Kingdom Hearts, such as the worlds, but I wouldn't intermix the two entirely. Both are very independent and I think combined they would kind of be like a crossover fan-fic that didn't work quite right.
  3. Definitely Assassin's Creed III. Since I don't currently have a system to run it on, I can only watch everyone play it and wish I had it, haha!
  4. Hard to say really. In honesty I think it "could" be possible, but because of the expense and dangers in creating such a game, I wonder if they would avoid creating it. Perhaps in the far future, but I personally doubt we'll get to see it in our lifetimes.
  5. I'm sure they're still going to be offering those games in regular Gamestops too. I'd be pretty bummed out if they didn't.
  6. Oh, thank you! Now I know I'm not crazy for thinking I'm fairing without a modern home console. That, and I'm just not a fan of the Wii. I've got a N64, SNES and PS2, but all three open up a ton of possibilities.
  7. I seriously don't think Pokemon and Kingdom Hearts would mix, unless Sora was thrown into a Pokemon game to become a Pokemon Trainer (but even that is getting strange...).
  8. Hahah! Generally I'm picky with my gaming funds too, but considering my only "modern" system is the 3DS pretty much all my game purchases are for it. The thing that bothered me the most with KH3D was the huge differences in gameplay in comparison to the other games. I also think I expected too much out of it and was letdown. Anyhow, I can certainly see where you're coming from as far as the game being overwhelming. Another great game, one that I think tends to be underrated, is Tales of the Abyss. The 3D quality isn't so great about it, but the gameplay's good even though I, uh, haven't even finished it yet. *sheepish grin*
  9. Oh, this is really hard...can I choose more than one? Like...*counts on fingers*...three? Aqua, Terra and Vanitas, in no particular order, really.
  10. Yeah, I've really enjoyed Theatrhythm also, despite its simplicity. To be brutally honest, I didn't enjoy Kingdom Hearts 3D anywhere near as much as I anticipated. It's Kingdom Hearts so of course it's still good, but I just didn't get that thrill out of it as I did with other KH installments.
  11. I did a search and couldn't find a thread like this, so thought I'd start one up. With the limited titles available for the Nintendo 3DS so far, what is your favorite? Mine would be The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It's always has been my favorite game, and probably always will be.
  12. It depends... What are some of your favorite books? That way I'll have a better idea of what you like, and perhaps some things that I think are similar to it. One dark fantasy series I really enjoyed is the Wicked Lovely series. Another series I loved was The Healing Wars. The latter isn't as dark as the former, but it has an interesting twist on the evils of healing that I enjoyed.
  13. Actually, I really like Xion. She's sweet, quiet and a very good friend to Axel and Roxas. Problem is, she plays such a minor role in the series that I tend to forget about her. There's definitely other characters I like more, but Xion's a good character and I'm glad she was added to the series, last minute or not.
  14. Haven't played X-2 yet, but FFX was definitely easier than some of the older Final Fantasies. I mean seriously, it seems that the game's holding your hand through pretty much everything. Not saying it's a bad game, but personally I prefer the more challenging gameplay that earlier FF titles offered. As for FFVII, a lot of people differ on that one. Some people love it, others hate it. I'd like to say I'm pretty neutral myself. Was it the best RPG I've ever played? It was *one* of the best, yes, though I'd be hard-pressed to say it was "the utmost number one" best. I preferred FFVI, but I won't say that there weren't some things about the end to FFVII that attracted me. I will admit that the first ten hours of FFVII sucked though; made me put down the game for months before I picked it back up to finish it again. However, I definitely liked Zack better than Cloud. Cloud isn't so bad after you've seen him throughout Crisis Core and Advent Children, but I still preferred the REAL 1st Class SOLDIER.
  15. Y'know it's funny, it took me years to get through the Water Temple the first time around, but after that I memorized the place so intensely that the second time I played through I beat it in three hours without referencing to a guide. Strange, huh? I loved The Little Mermaid growing up. Seriously. I was actually pretty excited to see that it appeared in Kingdom Hearts. What I didn't like about Atlantica wasn't really the part in the story. Honestly, I thought the plot in Atlantica was pretty good, but what I didn't like was all the coves. I spent more time in that world than any while trying to figure out where I'm going and what I was supposed to do next. That part frustrated me, and I wonder if that's why a lot of people have hard feelings towards that world in particular. As a side note, I'm also not a big fan of water dungeons in general, so that might be why Atlantica was no exception for me.
  16. Yeah, that was me too. I loved the music, and overall the world itself was pretty cool. I can't tell you how much time I wasted trying to work my way through the cathedral and the graveyard, though. Ugh! All-in-all my favorite world was the Symphony of Sorcery. Riku unintentionally skating to Swan Lake was just too epic of a moment for me, hehe.
  17. Maybe Gamestop's trying to compete with Toys R Us, especially with the holiday season approaching? Who knows what they're thinking really, *shrugs*. Still, I'm all for cool new stores to explore. As for those not wanting to pop up in a store made specifically for "kids," I wouldn't worry too much; my guess is there'll be plenty of adults there to make everyone feel comfortable. I mean, I think almost a third of Mario gamers are actually adults. I know I am.
  18. Many thanks for all the advice everyone! I exchanged my Mario Tennis for Kid Icarus today (though I wouldn't recommend this to anyone wanting to do it with the 40% discount--you can't get an even exchange for a game of the same value, unfortunately). Can't wait to try it out!
  19. I pretty much write the way I do on KH13 as I do anywhere else. The one thing I do frequently use here more, however, would be abbreviations. I'm not much of an abbreviator, but if I'm discussing a long title frequently in one paragraph I'll shorten it by abbreviations, since it just gets so redundant to type it out five times in a row within a conversational setting. Apart from that...yeah, this is pretty much how I am.
  20. Wow, sounds like Kid Icarus might be the way for me to go then. I didn't realize it'd have so many supporters! That's great to hear though, especially from fellow Kingdom Hearts fans. I'd even considered Theatrhythm since I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan, but, after renting it from my library for a few weeks, its novelty is pretty much wearing off and am wanting to get something new. Yeah, I wasn't sure what to make of the controls. I know they're different from the average game, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Glad to hear it's not a problem to work with; will definitely remove that concern factor from my mind. Hmm, looks interesting... I'd actually never heard of this one before.
  21. Actually yes...I believe you're right. It's a very interesting point that FFVII and OoT play similar roles on their consoles despite their major differences gameplay-wise. I grew up on OoT and loved it, though I cannot say the same for FFVII. I greatly enjoy FFVII, though I only recently played it because I loved FFVI so much. I can't say that either OoT or FFVII are overrated, however; I believe each one's receiving the amount of love and attention that they deserve. Then again, everyone's different and has their own personal likes and dislikes. FFVII's definitely not for everyone, I won't try to claim that it is, and overall I think OoT serves a wider variety of gamers. One of the reasons being because, as Dave stated above, Link's a silent protagonist and no one can dislike him, whereas Cloud's really a hit-or-miss figure.
  22. I think it's because they're trying to create a specialty store for kids by offering games with appropriate ratings along with collectibles, et cetera. I partly agree and think it's kind of surprising that they're taking it so far as to create a specialty store, but personally I think it'd be kind of neat to check out.
  23. I agree that the demo wasn't all that. Sure it wasn't bad, but it's just so different than a typical 3DS game that I'd assume it wouldn't appeal to the majority of the 3DS audience (like myself).
