  1. Wow, I'm really surprised by the poll results! Final Fantasy and Zelda are close to tied! I think this proves that both are excellent video game series. (...Now then, I wonder what would've happened if I asked if Kingdom Hearts or Zelda was more popular...)
  2. Yeah, I've kind of felt the same way about some of the character's reactions and dialogue, namely Jenna. She's always been one that I've had troubles reading (and also figuring out just who's side she was on). I actually hadn't thought much of the final scenes until you mentioned it, but I agree that it was a bit...mystifying. But in the first games, heh, I couldn't decide whether Kraden was a good guy or just trying to fool the others and at any moment he'd pull of his mask and go, "BWAHAHAH! It was I that has tried to ruin you all!" Or...uh, something like that. While I love Dark Dawn, its difficulty level is the one major qualm I have about it. All the battles were FAR too easy! including the final battle at the end (and yes, I think that fight alone was bizarre). I would love a fourth game, but yes, I do hope they do make the later games more complicated. Because, personally, I thought some of the puzzles were pretty simple in comparison to The Lost Age. And definitely! Games were much harder back in the golden age of video gaming. I mean, just take a look at the Mario games; they're living proof that video games have gone soft. (And no, I'm pretty certain that it's not just players have gotten good, as much I would like to believe that...) So, what were some of your favorite Golden Sun dungeons, guys? For me I loved the Barai Temple in Dark Dawn, along with this other dungeon whose name continues to slip my mind. Y'know the one with all the zodiac symbols and the rooms you had to solve puzzles in after leaving Passaj through the clouds? Yeah, that place.
  3. I guess he lucked out. But seriously, I've always wondered what was behind Nomura's zipper and buckle obsession. It's kind of cool, in a way, but also strange when you think about it.
  4. Hmm, I don't recall encountering any glitches in Dream Drop Distance, but perhaps I simply wasn't looking hard enough.
  5. Eh, yeah... A creepy Zack's not quite what I had in mind. It would just result in nightmares of my favorite character, haha! Thanks anyway. =)
  6. I was just curious if anyone's ever found a Zack Fair plushie online anywhere. I've been looking around but haven't managed to find one yet. I thought he would compliment my Cloud that looks a little lonely where he's sitting.
  7. *Gives round of applause*, those are some valid points about Aqua's popularity. I'd always thought it was because she was an overall strong female protagonist but, given all the ones within the Kingdom Hearts saga, Aqua's one of the characters with a great deal of personality. I can't say this for all the male characters, but pretty much all the female ones thus far--and a good handful of the guys--were too shallow. Now, I hadn't liked Aqua until I played BbS. She seemed like just another Kairi and law-abider that put her foot in her mouth too much, but after playing I took a very different stance on her. She's a strong-willed character with plenty of background and development, which overall made her stand well in the series.
  8. I'll have to say Dream Drop Distance, but that's partly because I haven't bought many new releases this year. (Been purchasing retro games, mostly.)
  9. Wow, that's a really good question. I'm kind of thinking it was just essential to the plot that he walk straight out the front door instead of using a dark portal, or, maybe he just didn't think of it. You know how you realize you did something foolish upon looking back at it, but at the time nothing else occurred to you? Maybe it was one of those scenarios...
  10. I mostly enjoy using Zexion with a wide range of magic equipped. I also enjoy playing as Riku and Axel as well, but to a lesser degree.
  11. I seriously don't know what kind of cover 1.5 will have. It'd be nice if they did something new to combine the three titles, but I'm worried it'll just be a plain'ish background (perhaps the KH symbols on the checkered background) with the logo.
  12. I think you're quite right... It looks like it's still in production.
  13. I want Versus 13! It looks (and sounds) like such a great game. I've heard that Square Enix considered changing the title to Final Fantasy XV, but it hasn't really been confirmed either way, to my knowledge. I really don't see why they haven't been able to release this game. I mean, they've proven that it's far in development already; it couldn't need much more to complete it. It seems as though they're either having second thoughts on the game entirely, or they've encountered a hangup and are trying to work through it. Either way, I wish Square Enix would get on with the picture here. They have a couple games they owe us!
  14. Oh wow, I'm terribly sorry to hear that! I hope you have a speedy recovery! Bullies really need to stop going to such extremes...
  15. My friend just gifted me with a Cloud Strife plushie yesterday, which I love. But apart from that, I'll never forget my Barney that I was given very young. Poor thing, he's about 20 years old now and has holes in several places where his stuffing's coming out! I just can't bear to part with him, though. (And NO! I won't be posting pics of the poor holey guy. lol! That would just be too embarrassing.)
  16. I used to use cheats a loooooong time ago on the SNES (back when I was five and didn't really know it was *cheating*, but instead thought they were just awesome codes by developers that wanted to make the game easier. Nowadays I never use cheat codes, since it hurts my pride as a gamer, hehe.
  17. ... Are you TRYING to change my vote?! lol, just kidding. But yeah, I'll never forget that crazy Link dance; loved it. I'd still rate Oracle of Ages higher than most of the Zeldas I've played, especially Phantom Hourglass. Oracle of Seasons was good too, but not as good as its partner. Just curious, have you played both?
  18. Haha! Love it! But, then again, I'm quite the Kefka fan, so...yeah; don't know if my opinion really counts.
  19. Zelda's pretty similar to Kingdom Hearts, actually. I'm guessing you'd probably like it. I've never fully played Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword to rate them for sure, but they don't really appeal to me as much as some of the older Zeldas do.
  20. It would probably be a very different game than the PS2 version we have. First off, I don't think there would be any voice acting, and probably less cutscenes as well. The gameplay would likely be similar, though I'm guessing the graphics would have to be downplayed a LOT. It'd also need to be on multiple disks (kind of like some of the later FFs) to be able to cover the entire story and all the add-on content. Considering what Chain of Memories was like on the GBA versus the one on the PS2, I think they could've done a decent job on Kingdom Hearts for the PS1, but I don't think it'd be as sensational as the one we have today. And, without the voice acting and mass amount of cutscenes, I'm not sure it'd have as many fans as it does. They really made the story and, without that, I personally wouldn't enjoy the game as much.
  21. Hello, and welcome! Glad to have you here with us.
  22. Thanks for the advice! Yeah, I generally go to The End of the World in that one room before the Final Resting place (I forget what it's called now, sorry). After about 10+ times of my entrance there'll be some kind of Shroom, whether it be the Blue or White ones, but generally they're blue and I'm awful at keeping them up in the air. Checking out Youtube sounds like a great idea though; thanks! Wow, great job! *thumbs up* Aw, thank you! Glad to hear I'm not the only one.
  23. That's what I'm aiming for, though I'm having a difficult time collecting Mystery Goo...
  24. Yup and yup; exactly what I was going to say. I really liked Riku Replica's character, so I wouldn't really want him replaced for a Sora one, but it would be interesting. Although, I don't think it would've left as much of an impression on Sora to be seeing himself, since he believed that to be the real Riku throughout most of Castle Oblivion. Y'know, there sort of was a Sora-double that Riku encounters at one point in the game, somewhat creating the reaction you were talking about.
  25. This means for some celebration! Yay, so giddy with excitement that I now know it's possible and he's not just rigged to be invincible!
