Every book in the room looked the same: Black and with the emblem of the Shadowslayers on it: a red blood-drop with two crossed silver daggers, just like on Hawks arm. "Lets see... Undead... Nope Demons... hmmm.. Nope... Other Shadows... nahhh Here it is, werereatures and other human transformations...." He opened the big black book "The common werecreature... blah blah Human.. blah animal... ok we've got Wolf.. Nope Hare... you're kidding me... Bat like creatures... yeah those bat's aren't vampires those are werwbats Ok.. half demons there it has to be... Fenrir... oldest werecreature.. Grim...Gmork... wait... there it is" (What does Hawk find in those books about the Wolf?)
-
Hawk nodded. "Yeah I requested studying the old books because I wanted to find out it's weakness... It isn't silver, so it's not like common werewolves... but I don't think it's holy water either, because tha should only work on the undead..." Hawk had to think. "Grim, Gmork, Fenrir... all those wolf like creatures are a bit like this one... my great grandfather was the last hunter tat killed one of those more powerful beasts, Rudolf Van Helsing also known as the Gmork slayer. He used an amulet of dreams and his silver scythes according to the Shadowslayer history books... Maybe some kind of relic can stop that beast we are hunting too." The Shadowslayer thought. Finally they reached Hawk's house. It wasn't shabby but very old, stones where still to see through the walls. "Good mom is asleep..." He opened the wall to the secret chamber with is dagger again. "Here it is the ancient library of the Shadowslayers, I hope we find what we are searching for."
-
"Buffy?" Hawk asked. "Sorry I just experienced that I am Van Helsings ancestor today" Hawk had knowledge through books but no experience when it came to hunting. "Well as a kid I started feeling the presence of the undead and werecreatures. I don't think I am that powerful but my blood begs to differ...."
-
Hawk was leaving the forest alongside Alison. "So you want to know more about those creatures?" Greyson was glad that other people believed in the supernatural too. If his mother told him he was a Vampire slayer without other people knowing that those things existed he would think his family was crazy.
-
"Good, so I won't be the nerd that does all the research by himself. hehe." Hawk smiled. Let's head to my house it isn't far from here, about 3 minutes by foot. He headed down the ladder again. -Cellphones attracting monsters..-he thought -What's next religious vampires?-
-
Hawk put on his hat again and laid the crossbow on his shoulder. "Well, I think we could split up. Those that want to find out more about that beast should come with me, I got plenty of research and books from the ancient order of the Shadowslayers and Nighthunters. After we are done we could join the second squad that tries to hunt down the beast... for that we should exchange our cellphone numbers..." Hawk wanted to hunt down that thing right away, but he also knew it would be of advantage knowing it's weak spots first.
-
"So you're requesting a hunt don't you?" Hawk grinned. "Alright then. Let's see which tracking devices my father has left for me at home...." He got up, but took the research sheets with him. "Maybe I can find more about it in the books of the order of Shadowslayers..." That was the name the vampire hunter's organization had.

As Hawk recognized that Night was away, he looked in both directions and pulled out a hip-flask from the inner pocket of his mantle, took the cigarette in one hand, drunk and then shrugged as he put it back. Then he looked at Nessa. "What?! I was drinking for two years in my old country, do you think i would stand it not drinking till I'm 21?" Then he quietly said: "And that stuff's far better than beer anyways...." After he heard what Jerry told them he nearly chocked his cigarette. "So we have to go there defending them right?"
-
Hawk started to laugh. "There where I was from, drinking beer is allowed as soon as you're 16. And who the heck gets drunk after one beer?" He shook his head smiling and concentrated on the research. The he looked up again. "As you may have recognized, as soon as I don't have to run I'm a good fighter... IF it would come to a fight, which I hope that it won't."
-
"Well.. Anatomies, and description resemble the thing we have seen, and remind me of a werewolf." He licked over his lips. "The description reminds me on the Nordic wolf like creature Fenrir." Hawk replied to Night: "Really an arm?! Oh and would you be so nice and bring me that beer?"
-
"Why did we bring him again?" Hawk asked without looking up as he was skimming through the papers. He liked Night, but he didn't take things serious at all. Then he had to smile thinking about him. Greyson put aside the papers and enlightened a cigarette. "So... Jerry? Can I see the bio?"
-
Hawk helped Night up. "Concentrate... it could come back again..." Hawk was still holding up the heavy crossbow with just one hand. "Should we skim through those sheets?" He asked.
-
"Don't forget you have the grandchild of the world's best vampire Slayer and werewolf hunter in the team." Hawk smiled. "Also I've showered in holy water... According to my father's study undead don't smell it... well I don't know about werecreatures....." As he arrived at the top of the treehouse he quickly jumped in, pulling out his crossbow and aiming in the room. It was loaded with blessed silver stakes.
-
Hawk aimed at Night without looking at him. "Don't you get it?" He said with a quiet tone. "This is serious, the thing up there could threaten humanity... I saw how it blocked your knifes, how it regenerated it's wounds from my silver dagger... I don't think a bullet or even a missile could stop it." Then Greyson fixed the crossbow at his back and started climbing the ladder. "Just be quiet and we all will be fine..." He whispered.
-
"I don't know... maybe the desert has swallowed our companion..." Hunter thought about the stories of the nomads, about people getting lost in the desert.
-
"So it was a werewolf after all... I knew my family wasn't insane, hunting phantoms for all that time... Or is that winged wolf that what we thought to be a werewolf all along..." -Wings..- Hawk thought.. -Bats have wing too... is that thing a mix out of both?- He chuckled -Werepyre... pfff..." Hawk calmed down again, and got serious. "I won't wonder if we find the corpses of ourselves..." Hawk shivered thinking about finding his own corpse.
-
"Silver knives? Good choice." Hawk had to admit. His hat covered his eyes, but he smiled back at Nessa. He sniffed through the air.... "That scent again...." He held the crossbow even narrower to his eye to make his aim perfect. suddenly he stopped. He threw the cigarette that he just finished on the ground and walked over it. "Sorry" he whispered.
-
Hawk took down the crossbow again and put it in his hands so he could aim. "We're going back there and try to find anything out..." Slowly Greyson followed the trail of blood, aiming at anything that moved.
-
"Ok.. Who the heck is Draco... I'm sorry for you we can search her afterwards if you want... aaand I got some new daggers and this baby here.." He lifted up the crossbow and held it next to his head. Hawk thought about how Night could be that cool when he just lost his mother.... He reached into his pocket and enlightened himself a cigarette. He took a deep breath and smiled. "Oh and I just found out that I'm Van Helsing's grand grand grand grandson..."
-
Hawk arrived greeting Nessa by taking his hat of. "Hi Nessa, nice bike" Hawk looked at the blood. "Yup it really happened...." He thought for himself.
-
After school Hawk got back home. "Where have you been yesterday?" His mother asked. "Mom you should be asleep, have you already took your meds?" "Yes I did, but you still have to answer me." "You, you wouldn't believe me anyhow..." "You're feeling them again right?" His mother's tone got serious. "Not only that... I'm seeing them..." His mother scared back. "So your time has finally come..." "What do you mean mother?" "Since you where a baby you could feel supernatural things... just like your father." "Dad has seen them too?" "Werewolves, the undead... everything." "What did dad do with them?" Hawk asked. "The same thing you want to do with them... hunt them down..." "My father was a hunter?" Hawk was confused. "The bloody best of em, back in Ireland there was even an organization... very religious, very deadly..." "But dad wasn't religious, just as I am not very religious either...." Hawk had to think about his dad. "No but your blood..." "My blood?" "The branch of your fathers family... have you ever recognized their german accent?" "I was very young, but somehow, yeah. Is father form germany?" "I first thought that too, but no. He's dutch..." "Dutch? really?" "Yes.. and now for the part that could change your life..." Hawk looked at his feet. "Your father's... Abraham's last name... was Van Helsing." "Like the hunter?!" "No not like the hunter... he was his ancestor." "I thought Helsing was a fictional character?" "So did you think of werewolves and vampires in the first place too didn't you?" "But mom..." Hawk didn't believe what he heard. "Come I have to show you something...." In a wheelchair his mother rolled near a wall. "Still got the dagger Abraham gave you?" Hawk pulled the knife out of it's sheath. "I would never loose it..." Hawk said. His mother rammed the dagger in the wall, and it moved aside. Behind the wall there was a black long mantle out of leather with belts all around. A black big hat was laying in the middle of the room, and a crossbow before it. Dozens of silver daggers where laying around the hat, every one looked a bit different. "Each dagger resembles a member of the Van Helsing family... the one that you had was your fathers... and this is yours." She pointed on a black dagger. "It's blessed and contains small parts of silver." Hawk gazed at the armory. "Surprised? well your time had to come.. and there it is, now go out and hunt something... I'm proud of you, and I think you dad would be too..." Hawk put on his new gear, loaded his crossbow and headed to the forest Night and Nessa should wait for him.
-
"I don't know! let's wait and then decide!" Hunter shouted form far away. His bike gained speed and soon he arrived the city walls. "I just love the desert, limitless places to drive if you have the right wheels...."
-
The train stopped and Julian got up. Suddenly a big hairy hand was holding his shoulder. "Коса тени..." "Huh?" Julian turned his head and saw the face of a nearly crying policeman. "That was your name in the russian Mafia wasn't it?" The man asked. "Listen I already was in jail for the misdeeds I've done. I needed the money, and after the first job they didn't let me go, I had to slaughter my way outside, after I have done so much for this organization..." Julian answered, calm. "Too much, My daughter! The house you had to burn down, she was in it!" The policeman began to cry. "So you aren't here to bring me to jail, but to get your revenge... Go home old man, I can guarantee for nothing if you stay here." "Guarantee me your death!" The Policeman held a gun to Julians forehead. "Im sorry for you." He turned around very fast, and suddenly Julian stood behind the officer, shadows where disappearing like smoke from his hands, and the Policeman behind him struggled and then fell to the floor bleeding. 16 scars where to see on his body, 15 over vital organs, one at his throat. The young man lifted up his backpack and went on to catch his next train, without looking at the man he has just killed.

"I should go and investigate... 'zey didn't answer yet..." Jexulin stood up and summoned the keybalde. The Nobody left the "Sylvette" and headed to the last known coordinates of the team.
-
"Hey that world is new.." Jailxun stepped through another portal, he's opened around 12 yet but he couldn't find the fellow hunter Red. "That has to be it..." He called Red on his cellphone, but hung up immediately. Then the Nobody checked the connection. "Bingo..." The hunter used his straightjacket and blades to swing from one tree to another, but while doing that he destroyed the environment, and the trees sank to the ground behind him. "Hunt, hunt, hunt.." His head didn't let go of that word.
