I'd be totally fangirling if I actually played Smash, though I'm honestly a little nervous about the backlash Cloud would get from haters, or just anyone who's simply tired of FFVII's overexposure. Even I'll admit I'd rather see FFVII die with what little dignity it has left, but I was actually pleased with the trailer. What I saw looked like it remembered the kind of stuff that made FFVII cool in the first place, rather than the watered-down version the Compilation and other cameos tried to present. I... kinda would like a Cloud amiibo, though.

I wish I played Smash so I can fangirl over this. Unfortunately, I do not play Smash so I'm mainly just worried how much of the community are gonna rage about "OMG get that emo FFVII shit out of our Nintendo!" Okay, that's probably just me giving the Smash fans little faith (I'm not a part of it, after all), but at least the reception here is positive. But I did enjoy all the little references in the trailer. And hey, if they make an Amiibo out of him then I'd totally get it, if only to get a cheap and easily-obtainable Cloud figurine.

Wait, I thought Terra did get his armor on in time -- but it amounted to nothing, because his heart was already overtaken by darkness (however that happened. What, exactly, did Terra do wrong besides pal around with the Disney villains he wound up opposing in the end anyway?). And Terra couldn't just have dodged the heart because... it's a homing heart missile. Do not question Xehanort's methods.

This looks corny and stupid and I will play the shit out of it anyway. For all the people out there who think this thing is nothing but a cash grab... Scott has never been in it for the money. If he never made a dime off FNaF, I'm sure he'd have still kept going after all the support he received, because these guys are near and dear to him. That's why I 90 percent* understand and support why he's doing this: he's grown to love these characters that many other people now love, and now he wants to take a crack at returning to his roots -- why not kill two birds with one stone? If Scott was really milking it, he'd make FNA5 (which he said time and time again will not happen) or at least stick to the same exact formula. I'm glad he's trying something different with the characters we've grown attached to. *I say 90 percent because it's possible to grow too attached to one's creations and then veer off course in the bad way... because OH GOD THIS LOOKS SO CORNY, BUT I WANT IT SO BADLY. LIKE SERIOUSLY, I LOVE TURNING STUFF I ENJOY INTO RPGS (AS LONG AS IT'S A GOOD RPG -- I'M LOOKING AT YOU, FIVE NIGHTS AT F**KBOY'S) That said, I'll be judging this one as an RPG, not a FNaF game, and a bad RPG won't be saved just because it has FNaF characters; in my eyes it certainly didn't save F**kboy's. I can't say I'm not a little bit worried. Wasn't FNaF Scott's last-ditch effort because he was failing as a game developer? Still, I'll give him some faith and reserve my judgement for how stupid, awesome, or awesomely stupid this will be when it comes out.

It's already been mentioned, but experiments of Ansem's apprentices and Aqua alone in the Realm of Darkness unsettles me a bit. The Heartless experiments involved suppressing, extracting, or amplifying the darkness in peoples' hearts to the point that they're reduced to mindless creatures. One can only wonder just what the apprentices had done to other human beings to manipulate that darkness. And Aqua's entrapment is more depressing than scary, but I can't imagine walking around a dark, monster-infested plane with no seeming way out, no other human contact, no way of knowing what's happening on the outside world, and, though KH isn't a series that would need to answer such a question, no guarantee where she'll get food and water. Yeesh.

Personally, I wouldn't have minded if Roxas had indeed become KH2's main character. Of course, that's my bias talking, as well as my preference for KH1 Sora out of any of the series. But as much as I have my preferences, I wouldn't go so far as to say Roxas should have been the main character. I love the guy, but it's easy for me to say that because the direction Sora's character takes seems to shift from game to game, for no apparent reason. Roxas at least is consistent. Plus I don't necessarily need the plot to feel similar to a Final Fantasy game -- we already have Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts, while having similar infrastructure, is still its own series.

I'm guessing some of the questions you filled out were designed to automatically disqualify applicants if they didn't meet certain criteria. When I was submitting to job postings on Indeed.com, for instance, at the end of the questionnaire there was sometimes a final question, like "Are you willing to do so-and-so?" Or maybe they'd ask how many years of experience you have. Failure to answer correctly means they reject you outright -- you don't even get to submit your application. Frustrating, I know, but eventually you'll stumble on a posting where someone may actually read what you submitted...
