*Spoilers!* Regarding the Secret Scene....
Nathan Hatton replied to Dr. Shimo's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Cool theory! Hopefully they upload the scenes soon because I want to know more too! -
What do you think of the HD 2.5 ReMIX trophy list?
Nathan Hatton replied to AndrewHankinson's topic in Poll of the Week
I love how many trophies there are!! Im super glad you don't have to play all the difficulties in BBS to get trophies, though I'm assuming you have to play all of them on critical to get the critical trophy. Gummi Ship ones will probably be challenging as will some of the extra bosses. I feel like they did a really good job with these though. I cannot wait for December 2nd!! -
KHRecoded New KH Re:Coded Cutscene theory
Nathan Hatton replied to PrinceNoctis's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Some of the new cutscenes are also things taking place in the disney worlds that weren't shown in the original game. As well as some of the battle sequences. It's gonna be sweet no matter what it is. -
KHRecoded New KH Re:Coded Cutscene theory
Nathan Hatton replied to PrinceNoctis's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
All I know is if you don't mind being spoiled you can find out for sure in about 4/5-ish days, depending on how soon people in japan play and complete re:coded. (i think I read you had to watch all the other scenes to unlock it) -
Have you already pre-ordered HD 2.5 ReMIX?
Nathan Hatton replied to Lu Xun's topic in Poll of the Week
Is the Pope Catholic?? -
Have you been playing a game from the KH series lately?
Nathan Hatton replied to Lu Xun's topic in Poll of the Week
I've been working through Re: Chain of Memories in 1.5. It's just such a terrible game... it goes on forever and ever, but its just the same stuff as KH1. And I'm a trophy hunter too so those difficulty trophies are gonna suck... They better make them stackable in 2.5. EDIT: though it will be a bit easier to get those difficulty trophies after my initial playthrough of all the games in 2.5 because after it I will go through all of the games chronologically for the first time ever, probably on the highest difficulty in each just to knock it out of the way. -
Do you intend to stay all December playing HD 2.5 ReMIX?
Nathan Hatton replied to Lu Xun's topic in Poll of the Week
It comes out the tuesday the week before finals week. haha and I have no finals during finals week this semester. So I will be spending most of those two weeks playing it. and then most of break playing it until I beat it. haha -
The resemblance is uncanny... Thank you pokemon, for this walk down memory lane

The game UI isn't the worlds or story or anything like that. They could have a lot of that already done. The UI is going to be the controls/HUD/pause menus AKA the way the user interacts with the game. I'm still expecting a 2016 release date, but I would guess they have a fairly substantial amount of work done.

I don't think it releasing alongside other bigger titles is going to make them lose money. The people who want to buy 2.5 will buy it no matter what else comes out. And it's going to be available for awhile. People still buy Kh1.5 now, it just got "Greatest Hits" status. It will do fine no matter when it releases.

New Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX trailer released
Nathan Hatton replied to RoxasXIIIK's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I know it's not gosh darn full 1080p. Correct me all you want, I actually agreed with you. My freaking point is that most games cannot even be upscaled because of the drop in quality while KH 1.5 can. I've even included pictures to show you what i'm talking about. I'm not an idiot despite your seeming to think that I am. The pictures included are a screenshot of Assassins Creed Liberation HD running in 720p. The second is Kingdom Hearts 1.5 running at 1080p. I really don't give a crap if it's native or upscaled. The fact is, it is running in a form of 1080p, something that most other PS3 games do not do. If you wanna see the pictures to prove that FFXIII does it as well, let me know, I'll show you. -
New Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX trailer released
Nathan Hatton replied to RoxasXIIIK's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I realize that they are natively 720p. That trailer is too. It doesn't even have a 1080p option. My point is that when playing games on ps3, even if they support 1080p on the back of the box, they show up on your tv as 720p, unless you force them into 1080 through your system settings (which usually results in lower framrates and other negatives). HOWEVER, KH 1.5 as well as FF XIII and XIII-2 (haven't played LR: FFXIII yet) output in 1080p on your tv, with no drop in framerate. That is their default option, without having to force them into 1080p. I always notice this because every time I start any non-square enix game on my ps3, my tv updates the info to show that the game is being displayed in 720p, instead of the 1080p of the ps3 menu. KH 1.5 and those other FF games don't provide this change, and if i press the info button on my remote, it shows 1080p. That's all. -
New Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX trailer released
Nathan Hatton replied to RoxasXIIIK's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I love the fact that Square Enix is able to get their games for PS3 in 1080p. It just looks so good. 1.5 was already the best looking HD remaster for last-gen, but this is going to look even better! -
That's exactly what they want. The more fans are focusing on KH2.5, the more they can work behind the scenes on KH3. Especially from a management perspective, every time they are interviewed, they are putting their focus on 2.5. You know Nomura loves secrets, and they are trying to keep many things secret for KH3 for as long as possible.

STAHHP hahah

I already have Xenoblade on Wii and I haven't played too much of it. (thanks PS3). But why would I want to get it on a system where it will be worse than the original? No offense to the new 3DS. Xenoblade puts a lot of stuff on the screen and its already pretty crowded on a big screen tv, let alone a 4 or 5 inch screen for the two 3DS models. Unless they come out with some other games that really interest me, I have no reason to get it. Side note: They probably will considering this is basically the game boy color version of the 3DS. haha It will probably get some updated pokemon/zelda games on it that won't play on the original one.

Report: 48% of PlayStation 4 Owners Did Not Own a PlayStation 3
Nathan Hatton replied to Sora96's topic in General Discussion
I would say a big part of this is because there are still great games coming out for PS3 and a huge library of games from the last few years. All the new Tales games, KH, and a few other series are definitely keeping PS3 owners happy and we don't need a new console yet. -

Crazy theory about xehasnort
Nathan Hatton replied to Ceriraye's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
Then in Kingdom Hearts XVII, Sora wakes up and it was all a dream. Nomura laughs at all of us and knows we will still buy KH XVIII... -
I thought the same thing at first but the more I thought about it, I realized that even though disney lost the rights to Tarzan, they still owned the rights to Tarzan with in Kingdom Hearts 1, so they could still use it! This is in contrast to games like Donkey Kong 64. Nintendo owns the Donkey Kong characters obviously, but Rare made the game and used both their logo with the Rare coin and the rocket mini game, which they owned. If they owned the characters, they could remake the game on any platform, but they don't. Likewise, if Nintendo had made the game while licensing the Rare-owned parts of the game, they would have full rights to what was in that game, despite Microsoft owning Rare, and could do a remake of it.

I really loved the whole "true purpose of the organization" and honestly, the time travel is used very creatively. It is EXTREMELY CONFUSING. But if you analyze it very carefully, it all makes sense and works out. Did DDD have the best story of the series? No. Was it the worst? No. does the gameplay make it one of the best games in the series? YES. Nomura can do whatever he wants at this point, we are all gonna keep eating it up haha.
