    Light-based enemies retaliating against Darkness because of MX. Irony: MX ends up creating the very "tyranny of Light" that he wanted to prevent.

    No. No being "consumed by Darkness himself", as that would only show Light corrupted by Darkness, not Light itself being a threat. Darkness = evil = old MX himself should survive just long enough to see that he is directly responsible for actually turning people AWAY from Balance and toward Eraqus's "absolutes", and then should die feeling like a broken failure as a result.

    Except that wouldn't make Aqua evil, but instead a sympathetic "vigilante" of sorts, kind of like someone who kills their family member's rapist who is acquitted on a technicality. For example: MX "heart-raped" both Ven and Terra and got away with it for so long. Eventually, Aqua snaps and decides that it's only fair to "heart-rape" him after he is defeated by Sora. Then she tries to use KH to create a universe without darkness so that there will be no more "heart-rapes", effectively ensuring a peaceful life with her friends.

    Said final boss, IMO, could be Sora after MX is gone: Sora becomes tempted to use the X-Blade to go Eraqus on all darkness and create a safer universe for his friends, and Riku becomes the one who must bring him back to his senses. A complete reversal of their roles in KH1.

    The ultimate irony would be for Sora to use the X-Blade to shatter MX's heart the same way MX himself has done to countless others.
