  1. No! Why is this a thing? Topics like this appear all the time. You can't just put two things you like together and expect it to be better. That's not how it works! They have to have the same feeling! I've seen people ask for Hannah Montana, My Little Pony, That's So Raven, Marvel, Star Wars, and a whole variety of other things that make absolutely no sense! Gravity Falls is too much of a quirky comedy and it doesn't fit in the style of kingdom hearts. Hannah Montana, MLP, and That's So Raven don't even have anything to do with fighting and are to friendly friendly, and marvel and Star Wars are too mature to fit in Kingdom Hearts. Look crossovers rarely work, and there's a reason for that. Unless they follow the same tone, theme, style, and feeling, it just ruins both things for every one. Ever seen the Uncle Grandpa, Steven Universe crossover episode? There's a reason people skip it and refuse to watch it.
  2. I can't really understand why everyone wants multiplayer so badly. Kingdom Hearts is an RPG and those are single player games. The Elder Scrolls, the Witcher, and many others are the same. In essence the series is about telling a story. And I really feel multiplayer would detract from the story. If you want to play a multiplayer game, go buy one, but this isn't the series to have it and it will most definitely suffer if it's included.
  3. While KH2 Sora is definitely more mature, I'd say they actually dumbed him down in the second game. He doesn't understand computers or the concept of homework and there are times where he really doesn't grasp the specifics of the situation. Not to say that's a bad thing. Sora is sort of the Happy-Go-Lucky idiot with the heart of gold. That's one of the great things about him. We already have Riku to be the smart analyzing one anyway. But they really didn't fully establish this until KH2. Before in KH1 he always understood the situation after it was explained and never really had any trouble with anything except understanding the phonetics of gorillas.
  4. Honestly I wouldn't like him to be in the game. He rejoined with Ventus, his story is complete. Bringing him back seems really inexplicable and sort of lazy fan service. It's honestly the exact same way I feel about Roxas, Xion, Lea, Namine, and other Org. members returning. They played their part, their stories ended and it was satisfying. Bringing them back seems needless and starts to ruin the characters. And a ton of people predict Marluxia, Larxene, Demyx, and Luxord's return as perhaps some of the members. That seems even more lazy since those Org. members have absolutely zero established back story. They were essentially the "extra" members in the organization to fill its ranks, and their personalities definitely don't fit the seriousness of the XIII darknesses (looking at you Demyx!). I'm sure this isn't a popular opinion, but when you are writing a story, you need to be careful not to overuse characters or put them in places they don't fit. At the same time though, there is an insanely limited number of candidates that actually make sense. Weirdly enough, besides the obvious Terra, my really stupid guess is Ventus, since his body is empty anyway. But it's lame since we know he's still in the Room of Awakening or whatever. Anyway sorry for going off on a rant.
  5. Craziest thing I ever did? After beating never land in kh 1.5 I deliberately waited 12 hours before attempting hollow bastion just so I could receive all of the clock tower gifts before the phantom spawned.
  6. I bet "2.9" is probably going to be some quick prologue or tutorial at the beginning of kh3.
  7. I understand that. I do have to admit, that all of these threads like "what worlds do you want to see in kh3" "my theory about kh3" and all of those speculation threads are annoying. No one's theory is going to be correct and almost all of them are terrible. Plus no one really cares about people's hopes for the game anyways. But it can't be helped since there isn't a ton of information about the game. People feel they need to speculate since they don't have anything else to go on.
  8. I have to disagree completely. Square saying "there are new scenes" doesn't spoil anything. The surprise is still unknown. If anything it builds hype. A single screen shot doesn't give much away either. You can't really gleam story information from a single screen shot. There's a huge difference between spoiling a surprise and knowing whether surprises exist. Duh of course they do, it's a new game and teasing surprises makes you more excited for them.
  9. Yeah these videos are poorly made, and while I do have issues with story in terms of decisions they've made (having Roxas, Namine, and Xion come back and Lea getting a keyblade) for the most part it's fine. The plot holes that do exist are pretty minor and do not stop the narrative from making sense. While it's true that a few of the games don't add anything to the overall story (days and recoded) they still expand upon characters and fill in some gaps. Now I've already mentioned in another thread my worries and issues with the Osaka team but I won't restate them here. I will say though that I am a bit worried since they are the ones leading the development on this game and while they have mentioned that the Tokyo team is assisting a bit, there is no confirmation that they are slowly taking over for the Osaka team.
  10. I doubt it really matters. The X-blade has not been really talked about as a weapon, but rather as just a key for unlocking the true kingdom hearts. If it makes an appearance at all, it will be very brief and then it will probably disappear. I doubt anyone will use it as a weapon and I doubt that it will be seen outside of this game.
  11. There are a ton of reasons for this. The most obvious reason is because it's kingdom hearts 3 a game people have been waiting since 2005 for. For these people, myself included it's hard to wait over 10 years for a game so it's understandable that people want news. Another reason comes from square enix's ridiculous policy of being super quiet. Back in 2004 before kingdom hearts 2 came out I remember they were releasing new screenshots from the game almost daily. We'd get trailers in June, October, and January with awesome interviews in February and April. It never gave too much away and you constantly felt satisfied since they didn't keep you in the dark. These days square barely releases any information on the game. Since I discovered this site, I visit it once a day to check for news on new kingdom hearts games. It gets tiring when months go by with no new information (particularly in 2014 where we got almost no info on kh3). If a couple of screenshots or a small interview were released more often (maybe every other month), it would help pacify people. What it all comes down to is, some people are more patient than others. For the more patient people like you, saying "oh they are developing the game as fast as they can when they aren't giving interviews" is enough but for others they need more info. There's nothing wrong with either group. And while I definitely am one of the people that feels they need more information released, I don't complain about it.
  12. None. I've talked about this before but there really isn't much outside of Disney and Pixar that wouldn't completely ruin the series if included. And that to say that there aren't some Disney titles that I think might ruin it as well. The choice of worlds to be included is a very careful decision and adding some random show because it's another thing you like isn't a good approach. I love pizza and I love thrill rides but I'd never combine the two because I'd throw up. And hey I love sword art online, the office, full metal alchemist, and some other things mentioned. I just think it would ruin them in kingdom hearts if they were put together.
  13. While I like many of the other characters and their abilities, I prefer Sora as the only playable character and most likely always will since he is the main protagonist. I think including maybe one small section with another character is fine. In my opinion it would adversely affect the flow of the story of they divided the game into multiple segments with multiple playable characters.
  14. No they won't redo the opening of DDD. They didn't redo the openings and endings of the other games at all so I doubt they'll do it for this game either. The only new stuff will be the BBS 0.2 stuff and the Back Cover stuff.
  15. I guess I'm the only one so far that really disliked the game. I'll list my personal reasons. Gameplay: 1. Dream Eaters. These rainbow colored creatures made it hard for me to take the game seriously. Not only did I think that they were terrible companions, but dream eater bosses aren't intimidating, and they certainly aren't memorable. Plus the whole mini game to get them to like you was exhausting and I could never get a single one's affinity to level up all the way due to the massive amount of time it takes. 2. Abilities. In this game I really disliked how some abilities were specifically tied to dream eaters and couldn't be permanently equipped. 3. OP commands. Now while I do prefer the command menu from KH1 and KH2, I don't mind the command deck. What I do mind is that in every game it appears in there is one OP ability that basically makes it pointless to bother collecting or equipping anything else. In BBS it was thunder surge, in this it's the balloon spells. 4. Empty worlds. This could be due to hardware limitations but this game is completely void of any life other than dream eater enemies. Even characters that inhabit the worlds only appear in cutscenes. This made the entire game feel incredibly lonely. 5. Flow motion. It wasn't the worst, but I found it got annoying quickly. As an aside, I felt the one world I was looking forward to most "the symphony of sorcery" got the least amount of attention or care. There are parts of it that are pretty but it just feels neglected compared to the other worlds in my opinion. Story: (here's where most of my problems lie) 1. Lack of death. No one ever stays dead which makes advancing the plot feel meaningless. In this title most of the organization is back. This really bothers me since it makes the effort of defeating them in previous titles seem pointless. This is especially true for Axel who sacrificed himself and had a noble death and then comes back to life completely negating is sacrifice and the meaning behind it. All of this feels like cheap fan service which makes me feel animosity toward these characters that I originally liked. 2. Lea getting a keyblade. I mentioned how the org characters coming back was fan service and this is the worst example. Keyblades are supposed to be rare legendary weapons. They are passed on through the inheritance ceremony. Axel getting one just feels like they are giving them to everyone and cheapens what the keyblade means. And the explanation of "he was sent to a space where time was accelerated so he could learn how to use it in a short time" is insulting. Axels chakrams and Fire abilities were already cool and he could have helped out in his own way. This single scene ruined Axel/Lea for me. 3. Time travel. This is a terrible thing to introduce into a story. It's OP and can potentially introduce loop holes and paradoxes galore. It's a Deux Ex Machina and felt like it was only used as a means to have Xemnas and Ansem SOD make a return and make Master Xehanort look like he planned all of this out like an omniscient God. 4. Saving characters who don't need saving. Terra Ventus and Aqua clearly need to be saved. They suffered horribly and they directly tie into master xehanort and his plan. Roxas, Namine, and Xion on the other hand don't. This is another example of fan service. At the end of KH2 Roxas and Namine finally got to become whole again and were genuinely happy. That's where their stories ended. It was satisfying. Bringing them back over saturates the story with characters and there isn't any reason in the plot for them to make a return. This is even more true with Xion. Her role in Days was only as a plot device to allow Roxas to question his allegiance to the organization, something he could have done without her. If she's brought back there's nothing for her character to do. I love all of these characters but if we bring them back it cheapens their endings and just has them standing around. I did find some of the bosses fun and the overall plot was alright. There are good things I can say about this game. Unfortunately I just felt that these flaws were too much. But this is all my opinion so I understand if people disagree.
  16. I don't like this idea at all. It should stay strictly with Disney films and maybe Pixar as well. It doesn't really matter whether you use the animated avengers or the animated Star Wars, they just don't fit the tone of kingdom hearts.
  17. I'm sure they'll include the real names, if not in the Japanese version than at least in the localized version. But then again I don't really care. I think the attraction flow looks extremely lame.
  18. I doubt it. Development has been going on for a few years now. They are probably only going to include films that released pre 2015. Even then I think the newest movie they'll include is Big Hero 6.
  19. While I enjoyed drive forms, I don't Really care if they make a return. I mean I'll be happy if they do, it's just not a necessity. The only thing I want is for them to be more restrictive with the glowing and particle effects. When characters glow or create particle effects it implies that they are super strong or highly leveled or are using an advanced technique. But games like bbs and DDD have the characters glowing ALL the time, whether it be command styles, flow motion, or certain command deck abilities. So yeah drive forms are fine, just don't have the characters look super powerful at like level 1.
  20. Hmm I wouldn't mind their relationship to further develop, but as far as them kissing or fighting together I don't think that'll happen. First of all Sora and Kairi haven't had enough time together to get beyond the "innocent crush" phase. Any development that would get them to a point where they actually kiss each other would take a while. They'd either need to spend a few more games fleshing out their relationship, or forfeit a lot of one of the game's plot in order to develop it. Second, while Kairi definitely wants a more active role in the series and the fans want her to have one as well, I don't see her as the kind of person that's a fighter. She's too kind hearted. I can't even imagine her killing heartless to be honest. I think that while she'll probably develop skills with the keyblade I have the suspicion she'll be more active in ways other than combat.
  21. I mean, assuming he appears, it'll probably be in radiant garden again. His role won't be a big one but they might dive more into his relationship with Sephiroth. Kingdom Hearts 2 gave us some information on their relationship and it's clearly not the same relationship from Final Fantasy VII. So I'm curious as to just what exactly Sephiroth is (whether he's even human or not since he states he represents Cloud's darkness), the history of their relationship in the Lingdom Hearts universe, and whether or not Cloud can overcome him once and for all. Though I doubt they'll give us that closure since Sephiroth is a fan favorite optional boss.
  22. Well there's nothing wrong with hype. People should get excited for a game they want to play. The only thing is, when people bios up this image of perfection in their head and recruit everyone else to do the same, everything falls apart. So people just need to learn to be excited without gettong unrealistic perceptions of what the game "should" be. I mean, I've been waiting for kh3 since 2005 and while I'm certainly excited and hyped for it, I'm very much aware that it could be a piece of crap, or maybe it'll be "just okay". Just make sure to keep your perceptions of what it should be in check.
  23. Well it may be slow, but let me ask you this, is it even worth dodging enemy attacks if you can't look like a pimp? I don't think so.
  24. Hahaha that damn onesie with the crotch to neck zipper. I also thought it was a separate shirt pants combo due to the belt. Then I saw it for what it was. Ha.... I still wish I was in those ignorant times when I thought he looked so bad ass.
