I’m almost 98% sure that KH3 will feature a split story in lieu DDD, especially considering this statement from Square Enix concerning the story: “In an effort to undermine Xehanort’s plot, Sora, Donald, and Goofy search for seven guardians of light and the “Key to Return Hearts,” while King Mickey and Riku search for previous Keyblade wielders”(Whatever that means). Now, assuming that Sora will journey with Donald and Goofy, Riku is left strangely unbalanced with only Mickey. That’s where Kairi comes in- I believe Kairi will be a member of Riku’s party. This makes perfect sense- we have Sora and Riku as well balanced weapon based/magic based characters, Goofy and Mickey as offensive characters, and Donald and Kairi as magic based characters. I’m also pretty sure Kairi will play a key part in finding the previous Keyblade wielders, explaining why she’s a member of Riku’s party and not Sora’s. (The theory is also here on my tumblr account)

How do you think they'll work? Will they subtly alter the crew when they enter a world, or completely change their appearances to fit in? If Shibuya makes it into KH3, will Sora and crew adopt a thick graffiti inspired art style like in the original game? In Disney worlds, will they alter to look more like the characters?Or...will they just slightly change hue and/or shading style to blend in better? What do you think? What do you want? I for one think the first idea would be pretty cool- a different art style and appearance for each world would, I don't know, stand out more I guess. But I suppose the second idea would establish more of a universal look for the characters...=D

So for my English class I'm doing a presentation on KH as a series. (I got permission because my teacher plays the games) Anyone willing to help?First I need a plot graph of each game . (Honestly fairly easy, I can do that part by myself.)Then, I need examples of the following, either in the story, visuals, or gameplay.Motif (repeated ideas, ex. keys, icecream, trios, the power of friendship.)Charactonym, when a characters name means or represents something. (Sora means sky, he is light, simple, and connected to Kairi[water] and Riku[earth].)Themes, or the big ideas of the games.Symbolism, when something means or stands for something else.Foreshadowing, or hints of future events.and any other things that are important. You don't have to help, but thanks if you do! Hopefuly this goes well.

DLC IN Kingdom Hearts 3
Noby Raghavan replied to xVentusx's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
Final Mix DLC sounds nice... or maybe side quests to continue the game? Like short stories after KH3 that aren't really plot relevant? (Actually, no, Nomura doesn't understand how to do "not plot relevant", literally even coded is plot relevant scratch that) I just don't want "The real ending, only half your soul, a couple of virgins, and a leg, can be yours with this DLC that serves no purpose and really just sucks lolz we're lazy as frick" -
haha thanks

-forgot to define his cheekbone- I just fixed it. I'll try and update the picture.

Did this for an English project- hopefully I get extra credit for the drawing! haha This is a repaint of this drawing : http://edmund.typepad.com/.a/6a00e3982249d08833015433d73df8970c-800wi I tried to make it more dark and brooding and confused? (The Sora drawing was practice for that) Criticism is welcome! (Fixed version above)

Not really, they're just really interesting. Like I said, I get most of my ideas either by dreaming or daydreaming. =P

I like the Wii U- it's innovative, and most of the hate is because it's not "as powerful". In all honesty though, it's powerful enough for most developers to work with, and most people who say otherwise simply say it to boost their console's name. I like all consoles- why argue about the system, just play games on what you want, you know?

I was thinking of dancing, and how cool a dance would be where everybody wore grey and slowly tore of their clothing to reveal beautiful colorful clothing with glimerring sashes, and then I thought of the essence of color, and then I wondered...and I dreamed that night and this came out! =D That's how most of my ideas happen.

Kingdom Hearts: Wheres My Son?

wait, what? I guess at the end she forces Sora to eat his dinner? =P -
(This is a game idea I had from a dream, so it might suck. Feedback is welcome, and it really does help, so be harsh on me please! Harsh criticism helps one to grow, right? =) ) “Layers”Gameplay: The player has the ability to remove and put back the three primary colors into their surroundings or specific objects. The player can use this ability to solve puzzles and overcome platforming problems. (For example, if the player has a grape, they can turn it into a cherry by removing the blue from it, or if the player is about to jump onto an slippery blue platform, they could make it not slippery by removing the blue, or slippery again to toss something across it to activate a switch by adding blue once again. Or, if the player needs an object, but that object melts as soon as it is exposed to the sun, the player could remove the yellows and reds from the environment to make it cold winter so the object won’t melt.) The player can always look at their hand to see an arrow pointing them in the direction they need to go. Played in first person POV. Art Style: Very painterly, in a vibrant watercolor look. Music: Very minimalistic and simple. Whenever a color is removed from the environment, a layer of sound disappears from the music, and when there is no color the music stops. (You play as the “Grandpa” in this game.) Story: “You know, your grandpa went on a great adventure once before. Did I ever tell you about that story? I didn’t? Well, as you know, Dad- I mean Grandpa- was a great painter. He won many awards, received a prestigious scholarship to a top art school, and went on to become a fairly famous painter with many of his works in various museums. However, when he became old, he decided to settle down, and begin painting recreationally. His paintings then changed, and he began painting mystical landscapes, complete with brooding nymphs, beautiful elves, and majestic dragons. Around this time, Grandma went up to heaven. Grandpa then became very sad, and he had to take many medicines to help himself. One day, he decided to paint Grandma, and he poured over a year into that painting. When he finally finished it, he decided it was his most beautiful painting. He loved it, and he placed it atop the fireplace in the family room where everyone could see it. A few months after this, Grandpa was going to bed, when he decided to go into the family room. Even today, no one knows why he did. As was his custom, he went up to the painting, and he silently observed it. Suddenly, he was so moved with compassion and sadness that he kissed the painting, and suddenly, your Grandpa found himself in another world. It was vibrant and colorful, with rivers of color flowing over hills and valleys. He immediately recognized it as one of his paintings, and he was shocked! Actually, he thought he was in a dream, and he actually pinched himself a few times before he was convinced. Grandpa didn’t know what to do, but when he looked at his hand, there was an arrow drawn on it. No matter how he span around, the arrow continued to point in the same direction. Your Grandpa looked at it in confusion, but then decided to follow it. As he followed it, he came to find that though he still looked like an old man, he had all the strength he did as a kid. Like you, you’re strong aren’t you? That’s my little girl! Anyways, so Grandpa continued travelling along the path the arrow led him on, until he came in front of a strong brown tree. Grandpa didn’t know how to keep going, but then, he felt something within him, and POOF! Suddenly all the red drained from the world, and then the yellow. The strong brown tree became blue and sad, and wilted away. Your Grandpa, bewildered, continued travelling. After he’d gone a distance, he turned around, feeling sad for the tree, when suddenly the reds and yellows burst back into the world, and the tree was strong and alive again. It was then your Grandpa realized- in this world of his paintings, he had a unique power- he could remove the three primary colors and put them back into the world. Using this power, your Grandpa travelled the worlds of his paintings, over hills and valleys, through dangerous dark nights, over blue seas with mischievous mermaids, within castles with knights and kings and dangerous dragons, Grandpa travelled and travelled until he reached a home. He immediately recognized it, for it was his studio back home! I think you’ve been there once- remember it? There was paint everywhere, paintings hung here and there, and the glass sliding doors let in the sun. You don’t? I guess you were kinda small then. Well, your grandpa knew what it was right away, and he threw open the door and ran inside it. Inside, there was a woman sitting on the stool, and as he walked closer, she turned around, and it was your Grandma! She looked exactly as your grandpa had painted her. Your grandpa, filled with emotion, ran over and hugged her, and kiss- oh don’t make that face. It’s not disgusting, it’s loving! In fact, I think you need a kiss just to remember how great they are. As your Grandpa and your Grandma talked, finally your Grandma looked your Grandpa straight in the eye. ‘You love me, don’t you?’ she asked. He nodded. She sighed, and then grasped his hand. ‘Then set me free. I don’t want to be here, but your painting is holding me here. You’ve poured so much love and affection into it, that you’ve trapped my spirit within the world of your paintings. It’s beautiful, yes, but at the same time, soon you will leave the world, and I want to be with you, up there, not stuck within a world of your creation, devoid of you. So,’ she said, leaning in close to him. ‘Will you set me free?’ She smiled, and then the world of the painting began dripping away, and no matter how much your Grandpa screamed, he couldn’t escape it. Then, your Grandpa woke up, still in the family room. He looked up at the painting, and he knew what he had to do. The next day, we came home to find the painting destroyed, and your Grandpa dead on the floor, holding the crumpled remains of the canvas in his hands. Don’t cry sweetie! He was happy, because he was smiling. Now Grandpa is up there in heaven, with Grandma, and they can be together forever. One day, we’ll all go there, and it’s a happy wonderful place, so don’t cry sweetie. Maybe they’re up there, still painting, looking down at us and waiting for us to join them. So don’t cry sweetie, because they’re happy now. Tomorrow we have to go to his funeral, and I wanted you to know, okay? We’ll see Grandpa’s dead body, but he’s not really there, he’s up in heaven with Grandma. Are you okay? You sure? Well, good night. I promise that everything will be okay. Good night sweetie.”

The reason Monsters Inc. wouldn't work in KH.
Noby Raghavan replied to Dave's topic in Random & Forum Games
Haha (although the world's aren't connected at the moment, they're all separated so maybe by Nomura logic it could work? =P) -
Don't you mean What do you do TO relax? haha it's cool I think you said once English isn't your mother tongue, so it's all cool. Hmm, to relax I play games, draw, write, read, play piano, compose music, think, daydream, dream, talk, debate, read the bible, pray, and over think things.

Eh, whoops, forgot that part. I literally made this up in two minutes after I woke up from a dream, so it's all cool. I felt like the gameplay idea at least was interesting- investigating around a city, gathering clues, and being able to influence others and get information from them or bend them to your will by manipulating how they feel about certain things seemed interesting enough to me. =P It's fine, not every idea I write is awesome and great, so maybe the next one eh?

Uh, nope, it's called a Wacom Tablet. =P

(I feel like I'm posting a lot sorry it's just I've been doing a lot today. haha) Sooo yeah I had this idea for a game, it's literally only a concept though. =) Game Idea: Gameplay: The main character can touch certain individuals and enter into their heads, where they can thus influence their emotions. Each “mind” is represented by a unique setting that reflects who they are, and interacting with these settings can change how the person feels or thinks about something. The game is a “mystery” game, and the player must solve various “mysteries” and “problems” using this ability, observation skills, verbal information from NPC’s, investigation, and clues. Ignore what's below. I reread it and agreed that the plot sucked. Any ideas for the story would be awesome. Plot Summary: The main character used to have a best friend. The little boy had the ability to enter people’s minds, and he only tells his best friend. After the main character’s father dies in a tragic car accident, his friend disappears. A few years later, he runs into the friend again, and he tries to become friends with him. However, his former friend rudely evades him. The main character then goes home dejected, and turns on the T.V and happens to see his friend, who is apparently wanted for the murder of his sister. Horrified, he goes to bed again, but is woken up by a loud noise, and he finds his former friend in his house. Terrified, he tries to scream, but his friend tells him that he desperately needs help, and that he didn’t kill his sister. Eventually, after much explaining, the main character believes him. The friend then asks the main character to help him clear his name and reveal the true culprit. The two manage to pinpoint the culprit, a middle aged lady who used to be their elementary school teacher. The two confront her, and she reveals that she drove the car that ran over the main character’s father in the hit-and-run accident. Enraged, he tries to attack her, but then she beats them with a pipe and escapes. They manage to clear the friend’s name, but she disappears. They proceed to follow her trail, uncovering a path of devious crimes from her past. Finally, after she kidnaps and almost kills the best friend, the main character and the lady face off. She reveals she knew from the beginning about his ability to manipulate others, and that he is the one who made her like this- as a child, he unknowingly tampered with her mind and ruined her life forever.Enraged, she drives home one day and sees his father crossing the street, and in an impulse of rage runs over him. She then places the blame squarely on the main character for ruining her life. Horrified, he attempts to help her by fixing her mind again, but she flies into a rage, and almost kills him before the police arrive. As she is being detained, he enters her mind and fixes it, and she is taken into custody. The best friend is alright, save for injuries, but the main character feels horrible and doesn’t know what to do. He sits through her trial, and at the end of the game she faced with the possibility of the death penalty. The main character, feeling responsible, manipulates the jury’s mind to give her a lighter penalty, and at the end of the trial, she passes him. She looks at him, and turns her head away in disgust. Setting: Modern day in some fairly large urban area. Art Style: Cel-shaded 3D game with fairly realistic settings and characters. (Realistic in scale and proportion but shaded in a cartoony way.)
