  1. http://www.designntrend.com/articles/58455/20150805/kingdom-hearts-iii-square-enix-worlds-length-graphics-ps4-xbox-one.htm Is this legit?
  2. ...could refer to Ventus. Hear me out! Okay, so this is based on the BbS Vol. 2 trailer, you know, for the game that got cancelled, or delayed until kh3 comes out? So we see a lot of short scenes and it's all confusing as kingdom hearts when at the end, we see a scene of Xehanort followed by Sora and Ventus disappearing in a flash of strange light. Now, in KH3D we see Sora was taken to become a Seeker of Darkness. What if that scene in the bbs trailer was foreshadowing for Sora's intended role in KH3D??? If that's true, then the fact Ven vanishes right after Sora takes on a whole new level of horror. I know there are so many holes in this theory-like how Xehanort could even get to Ven when he's in Castle Oblivion, but maybe he gets Ven after he's awake, or somehow he manages to find him in the Castle (which totally disregards the whole only Aqua can find him, yeah), and it would fit with the whole twists and surprises thing Nomura likes to do with his stories. A possible way ties together with another theory of mine, that Xehanort implanted a piece of his heart into Vanitas back when he was still split from Ven, and when Vanitas was defeated wouldn't he go back to the place where he originated from, i.e. Ven? And if that happened, then that piece of Xehanort's Heart that was in Vanitas would go into Ven's Heart along WITH VANITAS, but dormant so it couldn't really do anything while Ven's heart was inside Sora, so when Sora gives Ven his heart back, that piece of Xehanort's heart is still there, and it takes over Ven so he becomes a Seeker. This also ties into what Young Master Xehanort said about Roxas-he said he was a 'worthy candidate'. Now the most obvious reason he said that was because Roxas did not have any memories upon birth, so he was at a disadvantage in comparison to the other Organization members to become a Xehanort clone, but what if the reason he said that was because Roxas, having Ven's heart inside him, ALREADY HAD A PIECE OF XEHANORT WITHIN HIM. Since Ven's heart is dormant, that piece couldn't really do much, but being inside a host with no memories AND no Heart, all they'd have to do is awaken that piece of Xehanort within and bam, instant Roxas-Xehanort. But then Roxas grew a heart of his own and merged with Sora, so he was no longer a candidate because he ceased to exist. What do you guys think? I think it could work, maybe, it'd certainly be a plot twist, and it would leave us with a whole new mystery-WHERE THE HECK TERRA IS, and also HOW ARE WE GOING TO SAVE VEN, which is really two mysteries but whatever.
  3. If Terra is supposed to have parallels with Anakin/Darth Vader, then it’s plausible he is one of the Thirteen Darknesses at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts III (which most people think is already obvious, and I did too, but I have remained doubtful ever since Tetsuya Nomura, in an interview, said he enjoys creating surprises in a story, and Terra not being a Seeker of Darkness would sure be a big surprise). With tvtropes' comments that Terra has similarities to Anakin, who served the Dark Side, I find myself seeing Terra as a Seeker more and more. Anyway, what I’m getting at is remember in Star Wars, Anakin was saved from the Dark Side by his son. In Birth by Sleep, Terra and Ven have a conversation in which Terra tells Ven he knows when he really needs him he’ll be there for him. It seems to be foreshadowing something, but in the game itself this scenario never comes to pass. With these story elements added together, we can theorize that it is Ven who will bring Terra back to his complete form, as it is Ven who serves as a little brother/sort-of son figure to Terra. How Ven does so I ain’t got a clue, but if they really wanted to keep the Anakin-Terra parallels (if it was intentional) this is probably the route they’ll go.
  4. No, that's the thing. Xemnas was looking for the Chamber of Waking. I'm not arguing that. What I want to know is how does Xemnas know about the Chamber to begin with? He knows about it, that part's confirmed, but how did he find out about it? Even Nomura acknowledges that mystery. We'll probably find out in KH3.
  5. But how does Xemnas know about the Chamber of Waking? Aqua never told anyone about that. Considering how aware Terra is of what's been happening, he might have memories of Ansem and Xemnas, who would know Sora, which is how he knows Sora's name.
  6. I think Terra said Sora's name not because of any special connection, but because he is one of the individuals Sora needs to rescue. Aqua said Sora's name as well, and she bears no connection to him. As for the Lingering Will, I have been thinking the same thing!!! If something has a mind, then it has the potential to create a Heart. The Lingering Will has thoughts, so theoretically it could grow a Heart-whether the game will go that route is unclear-I personally hope not, because the Lingering Will gaining its own Heart and becoming its own person might not go so well when it's time for Terra to regain his Armor and Keyblade-though, considering the only things the Lingering Will cares about is Ven, Aqua, and destroying Xehanort, even if it gained Heart of its own it wouldn't mind being absorbed into Terra. But the idea of an individual giving up their existence again does not sit well with me, so again, I really hope the Lingering Will remains at its status as Terra's Mind, not 'Terra's Mind that grew its own Heart and therefore becomes a person separate from Terra'.
  7. First of all, The Lingering Will clearly has Terra's Memory, or at least fragments of it. He clearly knows of Ven and Aqua and it remembers Terra gave Riku the ability to wield the Keyblade. And second of all, the Memory can create a Heart, but that doesn't mean the two are the same thing. It's never explicitly stated Xemnas/Terranort has Terra's Memory, nor, as I admit, is it denied. It is true losing your Memory can damage your Heart, yes, but who's to say Terra's Heart isn't damaged? It was unable to control its own body, and it is stuck in the darkest abyss of Xehanort's Heart. All we know is Terranort has Terra's Heart, which can remember things even if the Memory is lost, as noted in Re:Coded. Yes, Terranort lost all access to the memories of Xehanort when he locked Xehanort's Heart away, but remember Nobodies straight out lost their Hearts and they were still able to remember their pasts, so it's entirely possible Terranort never had access to Terra's Memory-because the few times we see Terranort in BbS, it is Xehanort who is in control. Of course, Terranort could have Terra's Memory. I'm like eighty five percent sure my theory is wrong, but it's certainly possible in my opinion. "Later on, Terranort seems to remember something, so he summons Xehanort's Keyblade, leading to the beginning of Kingdom Hearts I, extracting the hearts of the first six members of the Organization XIII as we see in the first cutscene of KH:3D." Hmmm, interesting. I always assumed Terranort was remembering Xehanort's Memory, but it's never specified just what he remembered...what if Terranort was trying to stop the apprentices from what their horrific deeds? Considering his and later Xemnas' disdain for the name Xehanort, something has to be up? Bad pun, bro, bad man And yeah, that is totally possible. At least, I hope we get to learn more about the Mind in KH3. But I thought the three elements were Heart, Body, and 'Soul'? Which could be the same thing as Mind, here... What does the Mind do? The body is the vessel your heart uses, your Heart is basically the essence of who you are, What if the mind-based enemies are called 'Remnants, like the Vanitas Remnant?
  8. The Heart and Memory are closed linked-losing your Memory does intense damage to your Heart, however, lose your Heart and be reborn as a Nobody and your Memory will remain intact. This hints the Memory is located in another part, most likely the Mind. When Terra-Xehanort was born, his Mind went into his armor while Terra's Heart stayed in Terranort's boy. Notice when we see Terra and Xehanort's heart in the Secret Ending, Terra never mentions anything specifically about Ven, Aqua, Eraqus, or refer to Xehanort by name. He also rather only vaguely states he has one goal. Even without its Memory, Terra's Heart will still remember the feelings those Memory provided, such as hatred and determination to stop Xehanort, dedication for his friends, etc. (Which would explain why Terra's Heart would fight back when Terranort was fighting Aqua-even if Terra couldn't consciously remember Aqua, his Heart would still feel care and love for her (friendship love for her. back off shippers) and fight back accordingly.) If Terranort had Terra's Memory, then wouldn't Terra's Heart be much more specific about his goal to stop Xehanort? Meanwhile, the Lingering Will specifically mentions Ven and Aqua by name, and with its conversation with Sora, it mentions Riku and Xehanort, the latter by name. The mind can remember what the Heart felt as shown by Nobodies, so the Lingering Sentiment wouldn't need a Heart-it would only need Terra's Memory to remember what Terra's Heart felt and act on those remembered feelings accordingly. So it is perfectly reasonable to assume Terra's Memory is with the Lingering Will and Terranort does not have Terra's Memory. This is also seen with Xemnas-he only refers to Aqua's armor as 'friend' and while looking for the Chamber of Waking, it's never said if Xemnas knows what's in there-it's also an actual mystery why Xemnas knows about the Chamber of Waking considering only Aqua would know about that, but that's another theory. Overall, Xemnas seems to affiliate more with Xehanort than Terra. Xehanort's Memory would surely remember Aqua's armor, giving another possible explanation why Xemnas calls it friend, since Aqua is the reason Xehanort made it back to the Realm of Light. In that case, should Xehanort's Heart be purged out of Terra's Body, two things could happen. One, Terra will enter a comatose state until his reunion with the Lingering Will. Two, he will exhibit classic hollywood Amnesia, with no memory of his friends or what's happened to this point until his armor is returned to him. Which of these two things seem more possible to you? Or more interesting to see? For me it's the latter, but that would probably give the game a lot more confusion it needs...still prefer the second option though.
  9. Who says you can't be girly and strong? The Girly Bruiser trope exists for a reason. Princess Jasmine gives off very feminine vibes, and shows no disdain for girly activities, so she can be counted as a girly princess...who is also adventurous, rebellious, hates to be objectified, antagonizes Jafar even when it is clearly shown she is at his mercy, and will call out anyone who underestimates her, love interest or not. You're also forgetting that Nomura designed Aqua to be feminine and strong (that info comes from Wikipedia, but even if there's no official confirmation in the game we see her a serious, dignified woman who wholeheartedly believes in the power of true love and gives off generally feminine behavior-it's muted, but it's there-even Terra calls her out on it). She isn't a Princess, so maybe she doesn't count, but still.
  10. ...as a character appearance similar to the Final Fantasy/WEWY characters. Sofia's world doesn't appear-SOFIA does, in Disney Town or in Radiant Garden, etc. etc. Other Disney cartoon characters could be incorporated this way-Kim Possible, Jake Long, you know, not world appearances but character appearances. That could work, right?
  11. Maybe Sora will say something, then the opening song, then the opening scene with Xehanort and Eraqus. And I do think the Lingering Will will come back. A theory of mine is he will be one of the Guardians of Light in Terra's stead, and the clash between the Seven Guardians and Thirteen Seekers will unite the Lingering Will with Terranort and bring back Terra for good. I hope I'm wrong, because I want Terra to be saved way earlier than the near ending of the game and for him to be a Guardian of Light, but that sounds valid, right? In any case, the Lingering Will has to come back, because not only does it contain Terra's discarded thoughts, it has his Keyblade. Terra's gonna need that.
  12. HOPING for footage of playable Riku and Kairi. A new world reveal. That's pretty much it. Ya know, it'd be pretty funny if they gave us a general release window just to shock us, because we're not expecting anything until November, and they save the exact release date for November. They probably won't do that, but that'd be a big surprise.
  13. I want to be happy, but I really just want some release date information. But I'll take what I can get. A new world reveal, hopefully something from Pixar! Ooh, a new trailer! A story trailer!
  14. Well, Square Enix gets to have a peek at Disney movies in development (as in, before they're released to the public), so it's not impossible. Chicken Little had come out in the US a month before the character debuted as a summon in the Japanese release of Kingdom Hearts II. So there IS a chance, just like with Big Hero 6! Not sure how Inside Out would work with the mechanics of the Kingdom Hearts universe, what with how it deals with the mind and emotion, but...
  15. I totally believe that the Lingering Will contains all of Terra's memories. That would make explain why Terranort was suffering from amnesia in the Final Episode-Terra's heart was resisting Xehanort, which was probably what was blocking Xehanort's memories from Terranort. Without Xehanort's memories, it would make sense for Terranort to fall back on Terra's memories-except he didn't. A plausible explanation would be Terranort couldn't access those memories because Terra's heart didn't have them anymore. Which means they're gonna have to find the Lingering Will, because otherwise they'll have an amnesiac Terra on their hands. Which I'm okay with for a while (amnesiac heroes? One of my faves), but only if he gets those memories BACK, because a Terra who doesn't know who Ven and Aqua are is not a Terra I want to live with. Also, my position on whether Terra is a Guardian of Light is...iffy. Like, I get why people think Terra is a Seeker of Darkness. It's the most obvious choice, what with him being possessed by Xehanort in Birth by Sleep. I even thought so when 3D first came out. But then a post release interview came out which changed my opinion completely. In this interview, Nomura said he doesn't like when the answer to a mystery is too obvious. He says when it looks like something is about to happen, he likes to put in a twist so something ELSE happens. Since Terra is the most obvious choice to be a Seeker, there's a really good chance he's NOT (assuming that's true, then Terra's probably stranded somewhere with amnesia, since his mind is in the Keyblade Graveyard, along with his Keyblade-aka, his ride home). Of course, there's also a good chance he IS a Seeker of Darkness. It does make the most sense after all.
  16. I hope that's true. I've recently lost my taste for spoilers, so I'm itching to play Kingdom Hearts III. But if the Japanese get the game first, and there IS a wait for the US release, I'm FINDING OUT WHAT HAPPENS IN THE GAME, SPOILERS BE DARNED. So I'm really hoping for a worldwide release. That will take care of THAT problem. I'll get the game the day it comes out and play nonstop, so I won't be able to look for spoilers (And it could be possible...they have English voice acting, with the lip syncing? Why do they already have that???). ...Actually, thinking on it now, I still might...I JUST REALLY CARE ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS TO TERRA AND THE OTHERS, OKAY???!!!
  17. I actually figured someone would bring that up. You're right. You really can't. And I had a hard time reconciling that with this theory. But...well, all of these games were made of different consoles, right? And yet they all follow the same general rule. Each one announced their release dates three-four months before the actual release date. It's not the development cycle itself I'm talking about, it's the promotion schedule. Nomura himself said they're getting ready for the full promotion of the game. Full promotion takes about a couple of months to a year, right? With all these main games, they waited until three months before the release date to announce when the game was coming out. So what I'm saying is, whenever the game's release date IS announced, there is a likely chance the game will out three months later. Like, say the release date is NOT announced November ( ). If it's announced, say, January 2016, then I would think the release date they announce will fall somewhere in April. ...that's what I think, anyway. Just a theory.
  18. Kingdom Hearts II release date: December 22, 2005. ANNOUNCED SEPTEMBER 2003.
