    The song is Battle With Seymour. It is a pretty good tune; the biggest thing I'm getting out of these trailers so far are the remixes.

    I was referring primarily to the wrap up line, in which the writer asserts: "...Lightning continues to be an iconic female character in games and has yet to meet her match. ...She continues setting a standard for other female and male characters – not to be like her, but who they are." It gives the impression that Lightning has somehow set a bar for other characters to meet, which I don't believe to be the case. Also, one example does not create an ironclad argument for Square being in the forefront of recognizing gender in video games. Bioware is a good counter example of giving players flexibility of gender while also delivering a good story.

    So, according to this article, if you didn't like Lightning, it's because you're sexist and have outdated ideas of gender roles, but if you have a problem with FFXV's all bro main cast, then you're worrying too much about sexism and shouldn't try to trample "art" so much. Also, I disagree with the article's main assertion that Lightning is somehow a defining character for female roles in video game. God knows there were good characters long before 2010, especially in Final Fantasy, where I would argue that Ashe in FFXII is a far better example of having complicated emotions while still struggling to put up a front of strength and isolation. While the author tries to carry the standard that Lightning is complex because of her stoic demeanour vs protective tendencies, I think it's telling how the analysis goes no further than that. The writer seems to try their best to avoid actually bringing up any examples of how "...[other] companies are still struggling and scared to use characters that might not appeal to a larger audience."

    It works for me, so I'm not sure. Edit: Actually, apparently there are issues with the left audio channel. That might have been a mistake I made when I rendered. I'll have to fix that for the future.

    So a while ago, my friends and I decided to start recording the audio for our DnD games, mostly just for laughs. After hanging onto the files for a while, I decided to try and put together an audio podcast with them, retelling the story that eventually unfolded. Know beforehand that we tend to use rather strong language, and that our playstyle does tend to err on the side of humor.     After reading far too many knee-jerk, xenophobic reactions on my Facebook feed, I feel that it's worth mentioning that ISIS does not represent the majority of any nation or religion. The fact that two of the attackers were of Syrian descent has led to an unnecessary backlash against both the Syrian refugees as well as Muslims in general. ISIS is made up of radicals from any number of countries (including the United States), and the unfortunate events of Friday does not mean that we should turn away those who are trying to flee from the very radicals responsible for the attacks in Paris. Moreover, Muslim citizens should NOT have to defend their beliefs against racist and xenophobic finger pointing from people either unable or unwilling to recognize that being Muslim does not mean that you are dangerous. What we need now, more than ever, is calm and collected thinking, not hot headed impulses. Terrorism would have us live in fear and distrust of our neighbors, and our best defense against them is to refuse to be afraid of those who need our help, and those who are fellow citizens and friends.

      In the end, I believe that a man does truly have the option to choose. While there may be factors that influence a choice, it is still ultimately up to the individual to make a choice. Even a slave has small choices he or she can make.
