Dave replied to Mystics Apprentice's topic in Roleplaying
Ah, okay. I can keep his backstory as something that he thinks he remembers, but doesn't go into much detail about. And I might need some help getting him started in, mainly because I had planned on him returning to town being the reason he hasn't been active yet.- 586 replies

Do you praise the sun, or make contact with the paleblood moon?

But if you have eyes then you'd get them burned while staring at the sun in order to fully PRAISE it.

Character: Kuja Original Game: FF IX Destiny Beach name: Myles Price Appearance: Though somewhat diminutive in size, Myles cuts a graceful figure, being svelte and impeccably dressed no matter the occasion. His silver hair, which he steadfastly denies to be dyed, hangs long, yet remains well kept and fully in control. Current occupation: Scholar/Artist/Philosopher Destiny Beach backstory and personality: A deep interest in art, coupled with a superiority complex that demanded fuel for its fire, is what has driven Myles for the better part of his life. Growing up in the relatively small town of Destiny Beach served to satisfy the opinion which he constructed and chose to believe in: that he was head and shoulders above others as far as the intellectual field went. Deciding upon graduating that there was little to entice him to stay in his hometown, Price sought the higher levels of learning of university, where he pursued a degree in art and philosophy. But here, in a world where he was certain to be surrounded by the intellectual peers he always craved, he encountered for the first time the curse of being among equals, where every person was just as smart, just as clever, and were not willing to admire him in the way that he admired himself. His ego shaken, but refusing to be lessened by any degree, Myles decided to push his art and rhetoric further, often being intentionally abrasive or shocking to his colleagues and teachers. For any reaction is better than being ignored, with shock the easiest emotion to conjur, and the fact that no one seemed to be on the same level of art and argument as Myles helped confirm to him, once again, that he was in a league of his own that no one could hope to match. Yet, after graduating, he finds himself returning back to Destiny Beach. It's one thing to be clever, but it's another to let everyone know how clever you've been.- 586 replies

Is it a good idea to wait till I'm 25 to date?
Dave replied to xXMikey1stXx's topic in Random & Forum Games
I mean, don't feel pressured to date anyone if you don't find someone you like, but don't set an arbitrary age limit as to when it's okay to either. You might find someone, and you might not find someone, and age isn't necessarily reflective of that. -

A recap would be nice. I'm thinking of going for Ashe and Kuja, but I'm not sure what the best role/job for them would be at this point.- 586 replies

It's funny when I remember TFS's episode 30 being on the front page of Youtube with an insane amount of views and traffic being generated. Not to mention that this whole thing is probably triggered by some guy in a basement in Nevada claiming the copyright, and nobody bothered to crosscheck.

WWE, I like you, but you're baffling me with these decisions.

I'm always happy to see Shane, but it feels like a wasted match spot at Wrestlemania, especially for the annual Undertaker match. Maybe if he had someone fighting on his behalf, I would be more down for it.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and sounds like a duck, it's probably a chicken.

Also a note on the story: it definitely helps to be a little familiar with Lovecraft style of horror. I didn't understand a lot of what things meant until I did some research and learned what they were going for.

The gameplay is certainly entertaining enough; it's fast paced and intense while also rewarding the player for being patient and learning when the best time to strike is. Not to mention that the level design is phenomenal and exploring will almost always pay dividends.

More leaked gameplay footage, this time highlighting the Knight and Cleric builds.

This is literally what I think anime is.

I still stand by this.

Note before hand that most of my experience with Pokemon was with first gen, and then Black and White, so there's not going to be a lot from the middle in here. 1. Koffing. From the start, Koffing has been my favorite. Maybe it's the smile, maybe it's the simple design, but Koffing has always been at the top of the list. 2. Paras. This is more of a personal one, since Sparky the Paras was part of one of my best teams I had in Blue. 3. Muk. It's the contrarian in me, but I can't help but root for the poisonous glob while everyone else fanboys over the "prettier" Pokemon. 4. Blastoise. Blastoise was actually the very first Pokemon I ever saw, off of a trading card from something. Stuck with me. 5. Galvantula. Again, part of one of the best teams I ever had. You and me, Ungoliant. 6. Krookodile. Know who else was part of that team? K.Rool the Krookodile. 7. Trubbish. A good set up man for a long fight: throw in some toxic spikes, toxic others as need arises, and stockpile and bide your time. The only sucky thing is that when they evolve to Garbador, the Weak Armor attribute basically screws up the whole strategy. 8. Jigglypuff. Admittedly more because I use her a lot in Smash Bros. 9. Nidoking. I like it mostly because you can catch a Nidoran early on, and invest your time in it until you have a tank less than halfway through the game. 10. Ho-oh. The only legendary on this list, whom I like mostly for the design.

You can level of characters by just having them battle in 1v1's if you're finding the missions difficult. I actually appreciate the difficulty of the game for the most part. There are some instances where the computer is maxed out and can break you with one hit, but ultimately, it forces you to be good at the game. Each character plays differently, and although it has a steep learning curve for some of them (Tidus in particular has a tricky battle style), it's fun learning how to best use each character. All of the challenges in the game can be overcome if you're willing to learn the ins and outs of the characters you use.

Well, literally everyone, since Namine's unraveling the memories of Sora apparently messed with everyone.

Well, in addition to Majora's Mask being one of my favorite games of all time, it's probably the quicker of the two to 100%, so if that's your stipulation before moving forward, it's probably the best to start with.
