Music Not-So-Epic One-Sided Rap Battles Of Agendas
Dave replied to Firaga's topic in General Discussion
Comedians giving commentary on social issues that they perceive is nothing new, and in fact is probably one of the main pillars in today's comedy, since the issues we see are ripe for critique, satire, and caustic commentary. It's why The Daily Show and The Colbert Report were renowned as being funny and socially relevant. Not to mention that the idea of "winning" in this context is without any real reward to begin with, so its not like anything has actually been lost. The argument against really seems to be a matter of "They have an opinion and are asserting it." -
Purge: Election Year finally pointing out the biggest reason why the series is dumb: Even the characters question why on Earth this has been legalized.

Competitive Mode? Maining Mercy, because I'm afraid of letting my team down with anyone else.

-
Yeah, true. I'm just hoping that I won't have to deal with people who don't know about team composition in competitive play.

Who is your favorite Kingdom Hearts female character?
Dave replied to kyungshidae's topic in Poll of the Week
Maleficent, yo! -
KH1: Captain Hook. Neverland (or, really, The Pirate Ship) is probably my favorite level in the game, and the fight with Hook coming right after Sora learns how to fly was the most truly DISNEY moment in the story so far. KH2: Hades. The story in Olympus Coliseum was probably one of the best ones they've done for Disney worlds, with a good mix of new writing meeting original material, and I liked that you got to fight alongside Auron and Hercules together, bringing everyone together for a show down with my favorite villain. 358/2 Days: Infernal Engine. I always wanted to have a moment at Beast's Castle with the gates getting stormed, and this one delivered well. Not to mention that I like the overall design of the boss. Re:Coded: Sora's Heartless. It's not so much the fight itself as it is how much I love the idea of having this seemingly small thing from the start of the series turn out to be something substantial. BBS: Captain Hook (again). There's not much I like about this game, but I'm always game to go one on one with the Captain. DDD: Captain Pete / The Beagle Boys. Again, I didn't like much, but the cartoony over-the-top nature of the fight, with Pete swinging from the rafters, gave the whole thing a sense of fun and energy and almost made up for the rushed and generally botched interpretation of an underappreciated movie.

So they're nerfing Torbjorn, and yet we still have Bastion...
-
I always found that Torbjorn's turret doesn't have a great firing rate or damage out put at all, and the only tangible benefit he has going for him is that it has good range, so I really don't understand how how people think he's OP.

Slurpees! Nothing says summer like slushy ice and pop.

The moment you see a topic that can only be made by a bot.

So, if I understand this correctly... Britain is concerned with people not native to its country coming over, using its resources, bringing different cultural values, and there's a concern about dividends not being in favor of those who were there first. There's an irony in all of this that is not particularly difficult to spot.

Still my favorite system of all time.

I finally saw Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, and I haven't felt this way since I watched Pink Floyd's "The Wall."

It would be cool to see any of the Cid's in a Great Mouse Detective world, in that Ratigan's whole plan revolves around him getting someone with a high level of technical expertise, and if he could get a Cid to build something for him, who knows what even grimmer plot would be simmering in his great criminal brain.

Zarya's great once you figure out how to use her. She's a bit more offense based than Reinhardt, and you want to keep her closer to the people on offense than the ones on defense, since she can shield from a distance.

My job consists of me staring at a screen with multiple camera feeds and trying to spot anything wrong. FNaF was the perfect job training.

Sounds like asset protection? Still, that sounds incredibly boring, and I wish you the best with that!

I went to a local film college to learn the basics, and then it was a whole lot of volunteering on any project I could get on in order to get more experience and meet more people to get to the point where I could start doing it professionally.

I already got Dark Souls III and Overwatch. The only thing I'm really waiting on now is Outlast 2.

Food For Thought-"What is your idea of Love?" (READ OP)
Dave replied to The 13th Kenpachi's topic in General Discussion
Love is caring about the physical and emotional wellbeing of someone else either as much or more than you care for yourself. Also worth emphasizing that Love is not limited to romantic engagements, and can be expressed on a daily basis with practically everyone you meet, in that you can care and be concerned with their wants and needs. -
Because Riku is ultimately rewarded for abetting in the near destruction of the world, and Sora is punished for being a good person with a strong will and moral values.

Cecil is my favorite protagonist of the series, because he has one of the most satisfying arcs. At the start of the game, he's basically living the high life: he's on the winning team, he's captain of the Red Wings, he's respected and renowned, and he has a steady relationship with Rosa. Typically, these are the sort of things that you get once you beat the game, not right at the start. And yet, Cecil is troubled because he has a feeling that what Baron is doing, and in turn what HE has been doing, is wrong, the tipping point being once he abets in the destruction of Rydia's village and finally sees first hand that there are people being affected by all of this, and the loss of humanity compels him to leave all of his success behind and try to turn things around. What's important here is that the decision to go on the hero quest is triggered entirely by Cecil's own moral character, rather than have the plot push him along or have something force his hand. He changes because he wants to change, and as someone who likes good guys who are actually good, that's a solid bedrock to build a character on. And even then, it's not an easy path. The shit he's done is still all around him, and Rydia and other villages he visits are constant reminders that he has a long way to go before he can claim redemption. Even having to fight Kain (mind control aside) is a show that there's still pain from throwing his old life and friends away, so the only thing that is keeping Cecil going forward is that he wants to do right. The ultimate culmination of his change comes at the end,
