The debris smashed itself upon Duo, a particularly large and solid chunk of concrete fell onto his head and shattered into dust, followed by a steel beam. Duo was knocked unconscious from the debris, the weight of the rubble began to press down on him, crushing his chest and restricting it, making it hard for him to breath. Damn it, he thought, that really hurt, and things don't look like they're gonna turn out well. Duo was thinking of what'll happen with the Central Kingdom attacking everyone since he thought he wasn't going to see it himself. What'll happen to his home the East Kingdom? To the rest of the Kingdoms? His friends? Noah? Zeta? Alexia? Duo's mind wandered as he lay on Alexia's lap, a trail of blood ran from his head down the side of his face, the debris has hit him hard and square on the head. It sucks to have to go now, he thought to himself, but at least my life has been a good one, can't say that I have any regrets. In what could only be described as a miracle, Duo's eyes fluttered open, and he was greeted by the faces of Balis, Alexia and Sync

The earthquake shook the ground violently, making Duo fall to the ground, "The hell?!" then he heard the announcement, "THE CENTRALS ARE ATTACKING!! THE CENTRALS ARE ATTACKING!!" Duo couldn't believe what he was hearing, "Already? Come on!" Duo rushed to the castle, trying his hardest to stay standing with the tremoring grounds. As he ran the the hallways, he found Balis and Alexia, "You guys okay" "Come on! Its not safe here!" Balis climbed into Duo's coat and Duo grabbed Alexia's hand, leading her out of the castle. The entire place was starting to collapse, columns and parts of the ceiling were falling down, "Shit!!" Duo shoved Balis into Alexia's arms and gave her a strong push away from him as debris from the ceiling fell on top of him.

Tetsu's denreishiki began to beep again, "More Hollows?! Aww crap," he found the crowd of Hollows surrounding a kid, "That's a lot of them, just a sword won't cut it," he said, referring to his Zanpakuto's sealed state, "Conceal! Nioshi Anasaki!" Fog began to rise from the blade, Tetsu waved the blade as it transformed beneath the fog, becoming a large scythe. Even more fog poured out from the blade of the scythe, fog that was thick and black. Tetsu leaped forward, the scythe raised over his head to cleave downwards, the Hollows could of dodged if it wasn't for the fog. It filled the hallway, and was charged with reishi to blind his opponents. Tetsu brought down his scythe, cleaving a Hollow in half.

Tetsu could feel the spike in spiritual pressure before a fast beeping caught his attention, it was his denreishinki, "A Hollow? Here?!" it was the first one of the day, and Tetsu was happy to finally see after action, but this was, after all, his job as part of Squad 13. After finding the location of the Hollow, he shunpoed to it, "Let's go," he said to Tito before doing so. Tetsu's flash step brought him within the school, a panicked student rushing past him(shenji), "All right, where are you?," he said as he drew he Zanpakuto. He heard the sound off an arrow being fired, "Is there a Quincy here too?" he wondered heading towards the commotion

Tetsu was patrolling the part of the city he was assigned to today. It was a rather slow day, he hadn't seen anything off interest all day, "Man today is boring, I wish something would happen already,". Tetsu sighed, he supposed it could be worse, he could be stuck in the Seireitei doing paperwork. Tetsu came close to the high school when he sensed so spiritual pressure. He wasn't aware of any other soul reapers in the area, what could it be?

Duo couldn't sleep, he never thought he'd be part of anything this big, that he'd find himself in the company of a boy with demon in his body, or that he'd learn of the remains of the Central Kingdom and their plan to destroy the other Kingdoms. If all that was true, then Duo knew that he couldn't just sit by and wait for it to happen, after he and Alexia took Noah to the East Kingdom, he was going to find out more about the surviving Central Kingdom. Speaking of Noah, Duo was looking out one of the windows in his room, it looked out over one of the gates that led to and from the castle. Duo saw a figure walking towards it, it didn't appear to be a guard especially since the figure had just jumped onto a nearby roof. Soon someone in a cloak approached the figure, the cloaked one seemed very familiar, "Shucia!" Duo said to himself, "I hope that the other isn't Noah," he grabbed his coat and crept out of his room, leaving Balis to rest, still needing to recover. Duo found his way to the gate, but both people were gone already. Duo looked around, and saw Sync, he walked up to him, thinking he may of saw something, "Did you see those two?" he asked him quietly. Balis was resting, but became fitful. He awoke from his deep sleep and immediately began to look for his master. When he saw Duo wasn't there, he let instinct kick in, and went to look for him, not because he wanted to find him, but because he knew his master was up to something. Balis gingerly lowered himself from the chair he was sleeping on, his mid-section was bandaged and very sore. Using his long tail, he was able to open the door and crawl out into the hallway. As Balis tried to navigate the numerous hallways, he found his way into Aexia's room. He found her on the balcony, and trying to get her attention, but aware that he needed to be silent, he wrapped his tail around her ankle, giving her a startle. He gave a short hiss to tell her to be quiet, tugging her leg, he tried to urge her in the direction he wanted to take

"I agree with Alexia, the East Kingdom will most likely have answer to Noah's situation," Duo chimed in, "both of us studied under the elders there, so I suggest that Alexia and I accompany Noah to the East Kingdom," Duo was still a little depressed thinking about Balis, but he had set his own problems aside to assess the current ones. Balis was asleep now, laying on Duo's lap, but still very hurt. It was the East Elder that gave him Balis' egg, wouldn't be be surprised by how much the small lizard had grown.

Duo held Balis in his arms, after being crushed like that, he must of had a couple of broken bones. He walked with everyone to the North King's castle, but was rather quiet, his only concern at this moment was the well being of Balis, he was so worried about the familiar that he hadn't even noticed Sync's visor had broken, finally revealing his face, or that Noah was the creature that he was fighting. Balis was unconscious in Duo's arms. To Duo, he was more than a pet or even a familiar to Duo, he was his best friend, Duo had raised him since he hatched from an egg, and Balis had always been there, through think and thin, right at Duo's side ever since. Duo wouldn't know what he'd do if he lost Balis.

Devlin quietly stepped up to introduce himself, he was a bit nervous, being the quiet person he was, "M-my name is Devlin, I'd say where I'm from, but it was consumed by the Darkness..." he trailed off, thinking of his past, "...it's a pleasure to meet all of you," he continued, stepping back.

The events leading up to seeing whatever beast was occupying the arena happened all too fast. Alexia was congratulating Duo when her staff began to act up, then came an explosion, and Alexia lead the way to the demon. "What is that?!" Duo asked. Almost like a response, the creature let loose a savage roar, Balis hissed to Duo, "you're right Balis, it's angry, that's what," Duo undid the bandage over his eye, the vision coming back, but still a little sore. "Balis," he said commandingly, the familiar understood and left Duo's shoulders, dropping to the floor, changing color to hide himself from sight. Duo then turned to Alexia, "Stand back, things may-no, things WILL get very ugly," he told her, not joking at all. Duo fired two thunder beams, one hit the beast head on, the second passed it harmlessly. The demon turned to face Duo and roared, even more enraged, "Now that I have your attention, lets start, I expected something a little more human as my third opponent here, but I'll take what I can get," Duo rushed forward and jumped high over the beast, and so did Balis who charged with electricity. When the second thunder beam missed, it hit Balis who absorbed it into his body. Balis latched onto Duo's back, like a backpack. Duo landed deftly on the other side and created three panels of his Thunder Glass, Duo hurled Balis through them, turning the lizard into a bolt of thunder that could rival anything of Thor or Zeus.

(sorry i'm not posting much, i've been kinda busy as of late) Devlin wandered about after he was told that the pupils were to be tested on their current ability, he didn't know what to do with himself until then so he decided to become familiar with the place. Devlin had come across some of the other pupils in passing, but didn't approach any of them, he rather he keep to himself until the lessons began. He held out his right hand and called forth one his Keyblade, Swordmaster, he always wondered why he was chosen by the Keyblade, let alone to of them.

This one's a little creepy. Did you know that the nursery rhyme "Ring Around the Rosey" is a rhyme about the plague. Infected people with the plague would get red circular sores ("Ring around the rosey"), these sores would smell very badly so common folks would put flowers on their bodies somewhere (inconspicuously), so that it would cover the smell of the sores ("a pocket full of posies"). Furthermore, people who died from plague would be burned so as to reduce the possible spread of the disease ("ashes, ashes, we all fall down!")
