I'm not a Naruto fan, but looking at the names on this thread has made my brain trippy. What's wrong with Steve, Benjamin, William, John, Frank, and Bob? Even could is a good name compared to these!

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
XIIISwords replied to Uncle Dolan's topic in General Discussion
That's still possible in XIII http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0_jTFDTgX8&feature=related On the other hand, I do agree that it is the most polished. -
Technically they would need to add some voice acting and English translations for the extra content in the English version. They may not want to do that and just leave us without that content. That would suck.

Hope spun and used a Ruin to lessen the force of the Comet, but it hit her and she was knocked backwards a little. May stepped between them and cast a Cura, which healed them both. "I guess that's where we'll end the lesson. If anyone has any questions, they can ask me after class. If not, you guys are free to do whatever you want for the day," she said.

Final Fantasy Main Characters SHOWDOWN
XIIISwords replied to XIIISwords's topic in General Discussion
And round 5 is over! The Guardian of Etro was able to overcome the Warrior of Light (no, not the Warrior of Light, Luneth) in s 9:7 victory! Noel: Give it up, Luneth! I killed the guy who ended the world twice, what do you say about that? And with that, Round 6 begins! Delete your votes and vote again! VS. -

Let's seriously discuss removing the "like quota"
XIIISwords replied to DChiuch's topic in General Discussion
The quota is fine. It's just that we love to hate it! What would KH13 be without the "Darn that quota!" and "quota'd" comments? -
Noel is great. Vote for him on my poll! But seriously, characters like Hope and Noel and Lightning and Hope make your heart just feel for them. I laughed when Serah was stabbed by Caius, but when she actually died a felt shocked. What game does that? I had been bashing Serah's stupidity when the game first came out in Japan, and it took me till she died on my PS3 for me to realize I cared for her. Especially looking at the way she died, it was such a beautiful scene. For those who complain about the ending, you're right in the sense that it was inconclusive, but that's what it's supposed to be. It's a set up for the sequel. And you cannot say that Serah's death was random and uncalled for; it was hinted at since New Bodhum when she began having the visions! Here's a line in that article that I found particularly moving:

I haven't played video games for about two weeks... Wow, that's a first. But I would usually wait a bit, get into a KH mood, and then play for a few days at a time. I'd say this happens once a month about, and I'll play for like a week maybe. I get the same feelings with Pokémon, Smash Bros, and Dissidia 012.

Drex gave Kira a strange look. She didn't look too comfortable. "Okay, Drayden, you stand up here," May said, motioning to a spot at the front of the class. "Hope, can you stand opposite of him?" Hope took her place at the front. "Now, class," May said, "Some of us have had more experience with magic than others and we've reviewed your files to check. Drex, Rau, Drayden, and Hope are just a few of you guys who have worked extensively with magic and should be able to cast at least basic spells. The higher the spell level, the greater its range and power, but the faster it drains you of energy. A skilled spellcaster should be able to fire off repeated first-level spells nonstop without sweating, while even the greatest spellcaster in Hoenn would need a delay after performing a more complicated spell. Now, Hope, a Normal Type spellcaster relies on a feeling of normalness, or blankness. Her thoughts when relying on magic are to just aim natural magic at the opponent. Drayden, similarly, has an element that relies on natural magic. Once he fills himself with the idea of pure power or energy, he can use his Dragon spells. Each element has a different feeling associated with it, so remember that. Drex relies on passion to get his Fire burning, while Rau needs a cool head in order to use his strongest Water spells. Drayden and Hope, can you give us an example of your basic spells?" Hope nodded, flicked her wrist, and sent a white blast in Drayden's direction.

Gameplay wise, XIII-2 was superior, but I loved XIII's story. The multiple endings are explained and not cannon. Each one is a paradox, basically a "what if?" They don't affect the story at all and serve as yeah, fanservices of sorts. They are unique to unlock, so it's like beating Sephiroth for a Keyblade in KH- you already have the Ultima Weapon, but you want to be a completionist and experience new trials. I just read this review about FF XIII and XIII-2. It's really good, and embodies practically all that I feel. http://www.violentgamerreviews.com/2012/05/blog-post.html

Dissidia 012 (Duodecim) Fan Club
XIIISwords replied to The Transcendent Key's topic in General Discussion
I like to use Paladin Cecil and trap them in a combo, then pause and have Kain smash them into the ground so I can Paladin Force them. I'm trying to work out how to use Soul Eater too now. -
(OOC: Do you guys like the ideas in this post?) May looked at Kira and smiled. "Each element has a different feeling associated with it. Just fill yourself with thoughts about that feeling and focus the energy on your hand. The spell will be generated at that spot. Main elemental spells are as follows. Fire- Fire/Fira/Firaga (Shoot a fireball) Water- Water/Watera/Watega (Shoot a bubble of water) Electric- Thunder/Thundara/Thundaga (Shoot a thunderbolt) Flying- Aero/Aerora/Aeroga (Shoot a gust of wind) Normal- Ruin/Ruinra/Ruinga (Shoot a blast of energy) Poison- Bio/Biora/Bioga (Shoot a poisonous blob) Dragon- Comet/Meteor/Meteorain (Launch small comets from your hand[higher levels summon a meteor (Meteor) or multiple from the air]) Ice- Blizzard/Blizzara/Blizzaga (Shoot a blast of ice) Dark- Gravity, Gravira, Graviga (Shoot a ball of darkness that drags enemies to the ground) Psychic- Zero Gravity/Zero Gravira/ Zero Graviga (Shoot a ball of energy that lifts enemies into the air) Rock- Stone/Stonera/Stonega (Launch a stone) Ground- Quake/Quakra/Quakega (Earth raises from underneath enemy) Ghost- Osmose/Osmosera/Osmoga (Drain magic from the enemy to increase yours) Bug- Sap/Sapra/Sapega (Drain HP from enemy to increase yours) Steel- Sabre/Sabrera/Sabrega (Buffs attacks and summons a sword (or two or three as level increases) to float beside you) Fighting- Scathe/Scathera/Scathega (Inflict pain on enemy) Grass- Sleep/Sleepra/Sleepga (Puts enemies to sleep, or slows them down if immune) You can also manipulate elements to use the same attacks as Pokémon, but this takes great practice. Each of you also knows Cure/Cura/Curaga for healing. Let's have an example. Any volunteers?"
