  1. Varion's pillars sprung up to deflect the attacks by the other climbers, and at the same time, impaled the lead Kamyn. Only Vay's three arrows made it through. Coughing up blood Adriev simply smiled. "After all this... and you all still are as broken and selfish a race as I always... knew you to be..." Then his blade dropped to the ground and his eyes closed. The king of gods was dead. Evra looked nervously towards Kinzoku and Varion, and also Vay "I have unfortunate news. The nanomachines belonging to Adriev have now been transferred to his killers; Vay, Varion and Kinzoku." There was a moments pause as it sunk in. "They are now Kamyn."
  2. The huge flash of the attacks clashing and Adriev's being pushed back faded after some time. Leading to an eerie quiet in the ruins of the Evraius. "This... can't...." Adriev stagged out of the blow, his clothes tattered and his body scarred and beaten. "How did he....? How could he do that? My attack? He... stopped my attack? This.. is..." he fell to the ground, but staggered to his feet once more. "Impossible.... it's all... impossible. This was my ship... my mountain..." fury filled his eyes as he glared at every one of the people left standing. He raised his broken sword defiantly. "This was my world! Damn it! Mine! I am Adriev!" He gripped his blade with all the feeble strength that was left to him. "I am god!" He charged the group one last time. "I am Kamyn!"
  3. (Edited it into the post, it slipped my mind initially but yeah she did.)
  4. The ship stabilized. The engined spun down quite a bit. Evra noticeably sighed. "Well done Amber. The connection between Adriev's will and the ship's control is fully severed. I can attempt to take control at this point. You help is greatly appreciated, my friend." Evra listened to Sanya's words and nodded. "I will supply you with whatever power I am able to if Sandrew is able to block the attack, but I-" Before he could finish Adriev rose laughing. The huge mass of energy before him swirling and contorting. "Now you filthy little maggots, die once and for all! Make way for my new age!" The energy that swirled around him suddenly compacted into a hugely concentrated mass and burst into a huge, high-velocity blast thet shot towards the group. The amount of energy and power within the blast was leagues above anything any of the climbers had ever faced... There was only going to be one chance to stop it...
  5. Adriev went into a fury after he was trapped by the now-returned Ryu (in the form of Seraph). He stuggled to get out of the binding but was already far too weak. Then he was hit. By the Doctor. By Kinzoku. By Emert. Then finally by Tristan, who's brutal strike tore off his right leg. Adriev flew to the far side of the room, battered and beaten. And he began to laugh. "You.... you imbeciles. You worms.... I....I worked for so long.... so long to make this new world." He began crawling towards them slowly and in pain. "And you... would stop me? For what... for what? A little more time for our.... for your self destructive species to define new methods of its own extermination. That's all humans are good for. All we've ever been good for... fear... war... death. Your naivete is... striking." His laughing reached a hysteric level. "But you aren't.... going to win today. I didn't want to do this... but... I can sacrifice the Evraius... manipulate it's own engines to kill every one of you here. I can always rebuild. All I need is time. With all the nanomachines this ship has stored up... I'll have... hahaha.... all the time in the world!" A huge dense mass around him started to form. The roar of the engines of the Evraius seemed to sputter and short out. As it did the mass of energy grew more dense and powerful. More powerful than any of the climber's abilities by far. "Goodbye... my sweet entertaining few who climbed the Evraius." Evra moved quickly as the huge mass was readied to fire. "There is only one feasible solution I have caluclated that remains for your side." Evra looked down toward Sandrew. "You are the only climber here with the potential to hold as many nanomachines without the intrinsic help of the reactor. If the other climbers lent you their nanomachiines temporarily, you may be able to channel just enough power to stop Adriev's attack but..." Evra for the first time took a hesitant pause. "But it would almost certainly compromise the entirety of your being to do so. I am sorry, but you must choose now Sandrew, as must all of you. We have no time left."
  6. (He hasn't actually made his presence known to the rest of the group yet, so I'm still leaving how he wants to do his entrance up to him)
  7. Evra look over Amber's progress. "It's working. The ship is stabilizing somewhat. Please keep channeling power, Adreiv's influence id difficult to overcome" Adriev was knocked to his knee for a moment as Betsy struck him. He cursed her and began to get up when he was enveloped by a cloud of smoke and ash.... Sandrew's... The boys words no longer phased him. As these people had climbed the mountain and he had formulated his reset plan he had slowly closed all the doors to the man he once was. There was nothing left to feel in those words any more. He was only Kamyn now. He was a god... Then the whips tore into his armor, he only being able to dodge a few of the strikes. He leaped back and glared at Sandrew. His royal armor was beginning to crack and break from all the attacks. Just then Kinzoku began to pry apart each piece. These damned humans. There was no way. There couldn't be a way that they could beat him. One by one, though, his armor fell away. Just in time for a few of the arrows from the doctor to strike him. His nanomachines stopped most of the venom, but the damage was still done. He panted. But this battle was not finished. Power surged around him. So dense it fielded it's own somewhat noticeable gravitational field. Black swirling energy, which was now clearly more science than any supernatural element. He caught Tristan's blade in his hand as the boy struck. As blood coursed down his arm he looked Tristan in the eye with a sinster grin. "Amelia. Now I recall. She was so... naive. Charming. But naive. She used to be in our ranks, I even fancied her for a time. Ha! Hahaha." He suddenly laughed as he recalled something. "A foolish being might have called it love. She certainly did. Perhaps for a fleeting moment I did too." He brought his own blade to Tristan's neck in an instant, and his smile grew wider. "She was a naive fool, and she left out of her own stupidity. Pregnant even..." Adriev moved in close for his final words. They was a sinister edge to them, but they rang clearly true, he had no reason to lie now. "Pregnant with my child." He used the sheer force of his power to focus his nanomachines into a concussive blast which knocked Tristan back. As if brushing aside this new revelation, he raised his sword towards Sanya. "You want death then? Your god is happy to fulfill your prayer." Every possible nanomachine he had coalesced into various weapons, energy particles, superheated metals. They surrounded him and as if like a jet engine suddenly turned on, he sped across the room with all his weapons in tow, searing their way across the room towards Sanya. Adriev was hurt, but more dedicated than ever. "Let us end this then!"
  8. (Oh please do! It would be great ton have you till the end, Sora.)
  9. (The party got out of Griver's trials, basically sealed him in carbonite. Adriev betrayed Ryu and left him on a self-destructing planet, then returned to launch the Evraius into the atmosphere to fire on the planet and kill all life so he could recreate it. The party made it to the nanomachine reactor and met the AI that was a collective of all the nanomachines intelligence, who told them they could deactivate all nanomachine powers or beat Adriev, at which point the person who killed him would get nanomachine abilities. Sanya went to fight Adriev in the bridge, and the fight spilled over into the reactor room, where Adriev went full final-form and is now taking on all members of the party, except for Amber who is at the bridge trying to stop the ship from firing. Also now it seems Ryu is coming back in a new form. And that's what ya missed on Evraius!)
  10. Adriev adjusted himself and tried to dash away as the geyser Sandrew created spouted up underneath him. Singed regardless, he side stepped and started sprinting to Sandrew's position. As he did, though, Sandrew's blade sealed his power of mental links temporarily, keeping him from reading actions as clearly, and eliminating one of his advantages. Still, he readied one of his blades and stabbed towards Sandrew viciously. "Those name are meaningless to me! Ants I've long since crushed and forgotten!" He yelled as he attacked. As he struck though, he suddenly hit with a flying gauntlet thrown by Varion. He turned around, fuming, and a gigantic pillar of fire erupted from his blade, searing it's way towards Varion. "Know your place, worm!" As he spoke, he saw both the Doctor and Kinzoku were readying for something, and that Jasper had just begun to come at him two. He reentered, held his two blades firmly and waited for them. First came Kinzoku. Her hammer slammer against the wall near him and managed to tear off some his royal armor in the meantime, but he used it's size as an advantage, for as fast as she was using it, he was also rather quick. He dashed under it after it hit his shoulder and dove towards Kinzoku with a vicious slash, at the same time using his other sword against Jasper's strike, releasing a huge amount of energy in the parry and most likely sending Jasper flying back. After that strike he only then realized the golem that had been summoned in the room. He didn't have time to adjust when it stomped down on him. Then there was silence for a moment. Soon though, the golem was rumbling, and its leg was soon lifted up, revealing Adriev picking it up from underneath. "Such an unoriginal beast, Doctor. Come now." He channeled all his strength into throwing it some way across the room for the moment, though he seemed scratched up from being crushed. That was when two independent fighters slammed into him with vicious attacks of their own. Tristan with his strike, and Conrelius's companion Betsy. He hmanaged to hold his swords out to parry them slightly, but nearly buckled under the weight of both attacks. "You..." he turned to Betsy "you're very curious. I'll have to study you a bit after I've killed everyone here and begun my new age." He turned to Tristan. "And you... that name...Amelia Mahou, it sounds familiar, but I can't seem to place it. Someone I improved this world by killing I assume?" Adriev discharged blast of energy, giving himself at least a foot or two of space to menauver, even as Cornelius attempted to bind him down with hardlight, which partially was working. As he was bound by them, Vay's arrows hit him in his torso and shoulders, doing some further damage to him as he attempted to free himself. After a few hits he ripped off the hard light shackles and faced his next opponent... Sonya. "Ha! So the Kamyn pretender thinks she can face me? This should be humorous!" He readied both his blades, but kept an eye on the rest of the part as well." Evra responded to Sanya then. "Very well then. I shall supercharge your nanomachine use temporarily. This is exceptionally dangerous, but you seem to understand the risks." Then Sanya could feel every element of her powers growing stronger, unregulated... dangerous... to both her and her enemy. "I shall go assist in the bridge now. Evra followed Amber into the bridge, which was already a huge mess after the battle between Adriev and Sanya beforehand. A single console seemed to be the controls for the ship. "Quickly, use you nanomachines to interface with it!" Evra instructed Amber. On the other side of a huge glass panel, their home planet stared back at them... and the red glow of a charging laser slowly illuminating it.
  11. Hey all! Post coming later tonight. I've been finalizing two projects and am getting more work done now, sorry about the delay.
  12. Quick note: I understand Adriev's actions may seem overpowered to a degree. I apologize if you feel any element of this is unfair, just understand I'm trying to create a formidable and compelling final boss while also trying to showcase the superior abilities of the Kamyn. He's still quite beatable, but understand that it isn't the standard player vs. player fight here. If you have any issues with how I'm handling certain actions, feel free to post here or PM me and I'll adjust accordingly.
  13. Adriev smiled. He let Sandrew's blade pierce his shoulder, and with it, Sandrew fell into Adriev's gasp as his sword dug deeper into the God's shoulder. Adriev countered by stabbing towards Sandrew with his own blade. After the stab, he let go of the blade and pulled Sandrew close to him. "Your friends are dead because of me? Your precious family? Your wonderful comerades? Do you want to know something boy? I couldn't even guess their name. I don't know your name. I don't need to. You'll be a footnote. A little mark at the beginning of our beautiful new world that is about to form. And your friends...?" Adreiv gripped Sandrew tightly. "Your friends won't even be that. Your friends died for less than they lived for, and neither mattered in the slightest." Adriev that used a ridiculous, inuman amount of strength to fling Sandrew across the room and into a wall. Just as he did, he raised his hand against Kinzoku's ingots, slowing them and then slashing them away with his blade once they were close, with only 2 making small cuts on his hands as he did. He stepped back, the gash in his shoulder from Sandrew's blade still there, but seemed as nimble as ever. He leaped up to meet the Doctor and grabbed his lance with his open hand. "Ah yes, the hyper intelligent one. You're a doctor, correct? Doctor.... who was it again?" Adriev as he tool the lance and use it as leverage to slam the Doctor down towards the ground. Flipping backward and readying his sword, Adriev next saw that Varion had launched an earth-based attack toward him at the same time that Emert had sent energy blasts his way. He jumped at them and twisted around, attempting to dodge them. Nonetheless, a few of the strikes him, and he was sent flying towards a wall. He slammed against it, but was able to center himself almost instantly. Immediately he propelled himself off the wall and towards the oncoming Vay. As they collided their swords clashed various times and they exchanged several cuts, before Adriev charged his blade with kinetic energy and struck at Vay, knocking him back a bit, letting Adriev move to his next attacker. Adriev caught the various punches from Amber, but once Tristan's sword strike came into play he took a few hits as he used his off hand to grab Tristan's blade. As it cut slightly into his had he simply looked at Tristan smiling. "You fools honestly think this is a fight you can win." He brought up his boot and kicked Tristan square in the chest. Then he teleported out of view for a moment. Just then an alarm sound went off. A robotic voice spoke over the loud speaker. "Preregistered plasma cannon volley due to begin bombardment in one minute. Confirmation entered. Countdown has begun." Just as the voice rang out, Adriev reappeared before Efenton. "Hello, boy." He grabbed his son's throat. "You've been plotting patricide have you? I'm so terribly disappointed. As you have just ehard though, it's too late to do anything anyway. I've already activated the Evraius's weapons systems to bombard the entire planet's surface, eliminating all life so we may begin again. You have already passe the point of no return! Now what was that about my wounds, Efenton? Do you want to have a challenge to see who can do worse; father or son?" If they were going to stop the countdown, it seemed some of the climbers were going to have to head into the bridge in the next room and try to disengage it manually, while leaving some others to Adriev. Evra, on the other side of the room stared at Sanya for a moment before answering. "Acknowledged. Given master Adriev's skill level and power capacity, my functions as a balancing agent may in fact be best served as your ally for now. What do you require from me?"
  14. All Teams "Allow me to explain my situation further, that may elucidate for you all the nature of my being and my actions." Evra paced slightly as he spoke. "Adriev was my master only in the way that his hardware modifications can forcibly change the details of my functions, and also for the fact that he controls the Evraius, from which this reactor is stationed. Any details of my existence never extended beyond this ship, and as a result only Adriev and the Kamyn knew of my abilities and were able to interface with me here. However, due to the fact that every nanomachine in existence has synced with this reactor several million times you might say that while I am more familiar with Adriev, I have interacted with the wills and emotions of every human in existence. You could say that I am in tune with the soul of humanity, even if I lack the ability to choose between any one side. I am aware of the differences in opinions and beliefs among humans and thus am compelled to offer equal use of my systems to any side capable of reaching me. This way I may give the most equal opportunity to the humans with whom I have interfaced via nanomachine sync." Evra looked over the group that now stood before him. "So you wish to attempt to end the life of my master Adriev then? He is just further along, I shall reactivate the use of all of your nanomachines now." And with a hand motion (purely for visual reference as the actual shift was software based) everyone in the room could sense their abilities returning to them... Kamyn Sanya's familiar's blast slammed into Adriev with burning intensity, singing his armor and face as she finished her speech. Adriev was shot backwards towards a wall at a high velocity, but as he was a bad to slam into it, he suddenly dissipated all his current weapons and four huge tendrils came from his back, attempting to latch onto Sanya and pull her in as well as he flew backward. He hit the wall in the next moment and it shattered like glass, as he flew into the next room. All Teams As Evra finished speaking the wall on one side shattered and a being flew into the room. It was... Adriev. He looked around and instantly assessed the scenario. Then he started laughing. "This year's crop was far more exceptional than usual I see." His face was badly cut and singed and his armor was torn up, but he stood up slowly and dusted himself off. As he continued to speak a mass of black objects surrounded him and began to morph around him. "I see you met Evra. So you're here to stop the Kamyn once and for all? Is that it? I'm about to eliminate most of humanity, but I'll tell you what, if any of you humor me enough while I rid this ship of you pests I may keep you on as lesser Kamyn. Obviously we seem to have gone through some... restructuring lately." Adriev kept laughing... louder and louder as the mass of nanomachines around him grew larger and then dissipated, revealing him in his new form. He was about two times larger than a normal human, his face was still scarred, but now covered in various unknown markings. His armor was all new- a thick black and silver mis-match of cloth and metals. In both his hands he held jeweled blades. "You should all be proud." Adriev chuckled. "Not many of the humans who will die today would be able to see I had to do it directly."
  15. Hey guys, quick note; I'm gonna be away from a computer for most of today, so don't expect a big plot advancement till tonight.
  16. I appreciate the help in resolving it guys. And it's not an issue, I'm just glad we able to resolve stuff fairly quickly, thanks for being cooperative.
  17. All teams "I see...." The AI spoke after hearing every climber who has spoken. "Firstly, if you wish to refer to me by a name, call me Evra. I am connected to the reactor of the Evraius, so that is the name I most associate with. But I do not wish to cause confusion between myself and the ship, thus if you need to refer to me by a name, you can do so with that reference." The AI then took some more time in silence processing some information. "Also, it appears you all have the common goal of bringing an end to my current master. Thousands of years ago this reactor was modified on a hardware level to enable specific nanomachines to be boosted with additional nanobots and extra energy supplies, thus enabling the power you associate with Kamyn. This ability to designate higher-tier users lies only with the nanomachines under master Adriev's control. This I cannot change. But, as an interface to the reactor's functions, I am obliged to explain to you the options that do remain to you should you wish to change the status quo." The AI moved slowly towards the group as it spoke. "Firstly you may instruct me to shut down the reactor. With this it will cease all extra power given to Kamyn-tier beings. However, because this world's nanomachines have developed constant sync with the reactor after centuries of use shutting down the reactors will also mean a temporary cessation of all your nanomachine based powers. As your nanomachines slowly resume function over a matter of years you will have to completely relearn how to use them. Humanity will have to redevelop it's entire use of nanomachines, and it will take a matter of decades to fully return to it's current state." A pause. "Or, if you want to powers for yourself, you can eliminate Adriev... whoever defeats him will receive his clearance to change Kamyn designation as they wish..." The AI looked around. "So how would you like to proceed?"
  18. I won't wait for everyone. I'll just post once a couple people post so there's enough content to post with.
  19. Kamyn Adriev sidestepped Aryel's trident, but was hit by Serafine's strike and then Kira's laser as well. Finally, while he was recovering, Sanya launched towards him and double-kicked his face, sending him flying across the bridge. Outside the window, the continents of the planet grew smaller as the ship flew further into orbit. "You...."Adriev spat blood. "You think you know a damn thing? You've never seen humans tear themselves apart with these things once they realize what they can do with them. You've never seen countried decimated in a matter of hours. You've never seen a planet left broken and smoldering by what you're own peope have done! Even after all thus humans have not improved. Thus they must make way for a type of being that can be better!" In place of the blade-gauntlets was now a whip of smoldering plasma. "I will make you understand that." Adriev sprinted, teleported in range of Ranya, and launched the whip towards Sanya, it cracking as it snapped towards her head... All Teams The flames suddenly dissipated from Tristan's hands. In fact, all elemental abilities in use disappeared in that moment. Every climber in the room suddenly felt lighter, more fragile, more vulnerable. Their nanomachines... were not functioning at the moment. "Please stop that." Said a silver haired young man who had suddenly materialized next to the control panel. "You will harm my system's functions. You are the first to visit here in... some time. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm a sentient force developed unintentionally by the huge amount of nanomachines running through the reactor. I'm the collection of their processing abilities, their gained data, their developed conceptual algorithms. You could say I am the reactor itself, you might say I am the very sentience of the nanomachines you all use. In any case, I have taken the time to develop a physical form so I may interact with you... curious beings." There was a pause, then the AI spoke again. "So tell me, what do you wish with this reactor?"
  20. Okay folks, so let's tackle this head on. First thing; insulting, swearing at, or demeaning other roleplayers is not cool. We're all human, we all get to points like that, I understand, but it doesn't make it right, nor does it make the other roleplayers in this RP feel very comfortable interjecting in the situation. Second, I know you both have some grievances to bring up, I understand. The specifications of your powers can be tough to always equate to the RP situations that all others feel are fair. The point I'd make here is that honestly, the specifications of how your powers work aren't nearly as important as making sure that you're using them in ways that allow other players to feel like they are interacting with you on equal ground, or at least have the capacity to oppose or interact with you without being utterly outdone. In this way, I think you both were moving a little bit quickly in terms of what your characters were doing. It happens all the time, and I do it a ton too, but please don't draw it out into a debate, especially one that gets angry. Both of you have well done characters, powers, and specifications, so neither of you need to worry about how I feel about your characters and powers. Still, RPing is all about giving ground to the other person, even when the situation doesn't always clearly dictate it. RPing is a social thing above all, and it should always be about how you're interacting with other players, not nessecarily about your character's ability, backstory, or the general plot of the story itself. I'm not taking direct sides here. You both had fairly substantially strong power uses there, and I see why both of you may have seen fit to use them, but also why the other felt it may have been unfair. Luckily I was already quite close to introducing a new element to the story, so I'm going to do that now, which should eliminate any current issues. As far as the RP canon is concerned, I'm going to make it so your characters interactions only made to here: I apologize for moving the timeframe back so much, but that should pretty fairly undo all the major power-uses between your characters. I'll have an RP post up momentarily. We're all here to have fun guys, I know sometimes it can be frustrating, but these people all want to tell an awesome story just like you, we need to make sure we're collaborative and understanding about that stuff.
  21. Kamyn Adriev held up his claw gauntlet, which absorbed the lazer blast that Sanya fired off, but still had enough force to sam him against the control panel. He pushed off in an instant and recovered, forming a new battle stance as Sanya transformed. "You're more resourceful than I'd imagined. Combining your AIs like that is quite clever." From his other hand, a multitude of lazers fired out and curved towards Sanya. At the same time he pushed off and jolted toward her in her new form, punching towards her with his gauntlet of spinning blades. "But not clever enough you thankless traitor!" All Teams With the matters of Griver and Drale resolved, and the Griver being incased as a statue and a new being now inhabiting his Drale's form, there was only the matter of moving forward towards the reactor. On the far side of the hallway the reactor was a series of gigantic spinning metallic cylinders. A huge buzz could be heard from within. Some high-level technology was regulating the structure and abilities of the nanomachines from within. In front of the spinning cylinders was a large slab of metal and buttons that served as the control panel. It's likely that, even without knowledge of the control panel, the nanomachines of the climbers could interface with the panel and shut down the reactor, if they didn't want to destroy the cylinders themselves... But, while they didn't know it, the room may have contained more than just the reactors.
  22. (Everyone was released from their tests due to a system malfunction. They are all now together in the large room. Griver has been frozen, and the way to the reactor is opened. Fairy is definitely alive)
  23. Just want to point out... This RP still has spies...
  24. (Lol, thanks for the heads up, it's fixed. To anyone curious, I may have put a wrong vowel in the word "shut")
  25. Kamyn "I'm disappointed in you Sanya, you had such promise." Adriev sidestepped quickly as her laser swords tore into one of the control panels. "As long as I have my nanomachines I can beat you, and I can make this ship kill all the pitiful beasts we call humans." He grappled her and leaped across the bridge, slamming them both into a far wall. The control panel that Sanya's blades had cut through started to spark... possibly causing a short circuit elsewhere on the ship. Adriev jumped back and materialized a huge spinning claw made of blades in his hand. "You don't want to play this game, Sanya, but if you're insistent, I'm happy to show you how it's played correctly." Amber Amber slammed into the fire beast, and in a show of fireworks it dissipated with a huge blast. She'd beaten it. Instead of a key, though, all the walls around her simply reverted back. In fact.... All Teams All the walls Griver had set up suddenly shut down. The entire room was now everyone left together again. It seems the fight in the control room had short circuited the room-based nanomachine controls here. The door behind Griver opened up too... leading directly to the nanomachine reactor... and beyond that the control bridge where Adriev was. All the tests were now ended prematurely. There was only the option; to go forward. Go forward and finish this once and for all...
