Woah. You've got a nice plot twist going here. Overall, I really like this. Captures all the stuff a returning soldier would probably go through. My only complaint is that you could use "said" more ansd describe the characters feelings immediately after they say something less. I know you mean well, but it annoys some people (including myself.) Keep going with this. It's really got the potential to go somewhere.

Here's part 2. Chapter 1: The Offer Sora, Riku, and Kari sat on a fallen palm tree in Destiny Islands, looking at the stars. "I've heard that constellation looks like a bat," said Sora, pointing at one cluster of stars. "And I've heard that one looks like an orca!" Kari replied, sticking her finger at another. Riku scoffed. "I don't see either." Sora and Kari looked at him with their eyebrows cocked. Riku shrugged. "What? I don't." Sora stretched his arms above his head and yawned. "Well, today was fun, but I'm ready to turn in for the night." "Goodnight, Sora," said Kari. "We'll go over that letter from King Mickey again tomorrow, alright?" said Riku. "Goodnight, guys," said Sora. He walked all the way over to his hut and crawled into his bed. Exhausted, he fell asleep quickly. Roxas opened his eyes. He rubbed them, then sat up and looked around at the empty landscape around him. He never liked when the day was over. *** Roxas wandered around the barren ground, staring up at the multifarious colors and shapes in the "sky" above. He knew they were Sora's thoughts, dreams, desires –his very mind. Roxas could relive memories and emotions on occasion, when they fell down temporarily to his plane, but that didn't seem to be happening tonight. He sat down and started drawing random doodles in the ground with his finger. He wondered if these influenced Sora's dreams, and started attempting doodles of himself. They turned out rather deformed, and Roxas eventually gave up. He continued pacing, trying to keep his mind off that nagging question of when Sora would wake up. Finally, he simply lay down and kept looking at the kaleidoscope of colors above him. That's when he noticed the speck of light. It was small at first, barely visible amid the shifting colors. Then it grew larger, and larger, until it turned into a coherent shape. Roxas could make out a massive pair of feathery wings, flapping their way towards him. When the owner of the wings landed nearby, Roxas' jaw dropped. It was one of the most beautiful creatures he had ever seen – a mix of primitive bird and dragon, with a hard crest on its head and a long tail lined with feathers. Its golden skin was only marked by a symbol similar in shape to an A on its chest. It stared at him with its grey eyes, as if waiting for the right time to give him some words of wisdom. "Note to self," said the creature. "Next time you go in someone's mind, don't take a detour through the favorite foods section. I am so hungry right now it's not even funny." "Who are you?" asked Roxas. The creature smiled. "Just your friendly neighborhood super-deity. Granted, I'm not really 'neighborhood' – I came a long way to get here. Name's Alphos, by the way – and you're Roxas, right?" "Yes?" "Good, glad I got the right guy. How's it goin'?" Roxas shrugged. "OK, I guess." "Just OK?" Roxas turned away. "I don't really have anything to do right now. " "Ah, so you're bored?" "It's not so much that that's bothering me." He sat down and pressed his fingers together. "Don't get me wrong. I like Sora's friends, I like Sora's life, and I don't mean to be ungrateful for how lucky I am at all, but… I miss making my own mark, in my own way. Granted, it's nice being complete, but… I want to do my own thing, you know?" Alphos put his wing up to his chin, thinking. "So, you want to be your own person again… But you can't just separate completely from Sora… Hmm… tricky, tricky…" Then his eyes widened, as did his smile. "I've got it! I'll give you your own world to explore!" "You'll what?" "This is Sora's mind, right? Why don't I create a mental version of the world outside and let you run around in it? It'll be cool!" "No." "Wait, what?" Roxas began walking away. "Okay, what did I do?" Roxas stopped walking. "A short while ago, this guy named DiZ put me in a virtual version of a place I thought I knew. I thought it was real for the longest time. Then I found out: Not only was my past made up, but my friends were nothing but data constructions – they didn't even exist. I don't want to go through that again, even if I know the world is fake this time." He turned around and glared at Alphos. "And how do I know you're not a fake? That you're just toying with me, or trying to trap me in something?" Alphos sighed and looked forlornly at Roxas. "Look, I've been watching you for a while. A long while. Not in a creepy-stalker kind of way, but making sure things turn out alright for you. And I know all the pain you've been through. Just let me finish what I was saying, so you know this is different." Roxas crossed his arms in front of his chest. "Alright, go on." "What I was gonna say was that while you were busy doing your thing in the mind-world, I would disguise myself as you and copy your every move out in the real world." Roxas' eyes widened. "And if you're not convinced of the whole disguise thing…" Alphos began to shine brightly, and in a split second his shape contorted and shrunk until he looked exactly like Roxas. "Woah." Alphos changed back to his normal form. "Yeah. Whatever you do in here, I do out there. Plus, I'll provide you with tools, advice… basically give you a hand the whole time." "Anything else?" "We'd probably have to avoid Destiny Islands and places like that – if you meet Sora or someone, things could get ugly fast – but other than that, you could do what you want." "Alright, I'll give it a shot." Alphos reeled in surprise. "You're ready to go already? I like that. Alright, let's do this!" He began to glow again, and shot like a bullet toward Roxas. When he hit Roxas, however, the boy didn't feel any pain – just a wave of power, surging through his entire body. He saw the colors of Sora's mind growing turbulent, converging immediately above him. The colors shot down, enveloping Roxas in a maelstrom. For a second, Roxas panicked- had he been tricked? – but then the colors started spreading all around him, as far as his eyes could see. They began forming into shapes, which formed into steadily more recognizable objects that grew and grew by the second. When the colors finally finished, Roxas realized he was in the middle of a bustling city. === I tried to make sure that Roxas wasn't like "YEAH LET'S DO THIS" from the start, because, well, that wouldn't be Roxas. At the same time, I had Alphos convince him fairly quickly, to keep things going.

Ah, that. In the movie they're from, (Meet the Robinsons) they're pretty much the main villains until the hero defeats them by essentially deleting their leader (and by extension the rest of them) from time itself. As for the song: eh, I liked the movie enough to include it somehow, and those flowers worked well with my plans.

Yay, first response! Glad you like it. The spelling issue has also been fixed. Yeah, the Tangled thing was intentional. It's a Disney world, after all. Are you accusing me of plagiarism? What time paradox are you speaking of? Glad you liked the stuff with Axel, but this isn't a rough draft. I wouldn't be posting it here if it was.

Alright, this is it. This is what I came here for. This fic is going to be one of my most ambitious ventures ever. It's an epic, written with the idea that it could be its own KH game in mind. At the same time, there's going to be plenty of humor, and I hope people find said humor funny. Some warnings: 1: There are three OCs and two pesudo-OCs (characters based on established KH/Disney characters but drastically different from how you've seen them) in this fic. One of the true OCs, borrowed from an original idea of mine, is extremely powerful, to the point where I'm afraid people will interpret him as a Sue. I'm going to try my hardest to make sure he isn't, and he isn't the main character - he's really only in there because without his sheer power, some of the plot elements wouldn't be possible. I'm also gonna try to make him an interesting character who delivers a lot of the humor. Additionally, the villains (the other two OCs) are almost as powerful. 2: Some of the characters included in here are notoriously divisive (then again, in this fandom, who isn't?). Regardless, I hope that if a character you don't like shows up later, you don't stop reading just based on that. 3. This will include many Pixar worlds in addition to Animated Canon worlds. For the record, Nomura said it was possible, but if it still bothers you for some reason, stop reading now. 4. There will be some resurrections - mostly villains who return to being antagonists, but also two others, one of which comes back in the prologue. Again, if that annoys you, stop reading now. Hope that wasn't too many. A note: I kind of want to draw from both of KH's parent francises in terms of how this fic feels- I want it to be sweeping and epic and just plain awesome like a good Final Fantasy game, I want it to be charming and funny and touching like a good Disney (or Pixar) movie, and I want it to be emotionally powerful like both. Ambitious, yes, but I hope I can pull it off. Finally, if you prefer, (or want to see the next chapter early) you can also view this here. Though you'll miss out on author commentary and explanations of what the heck I was thinking when I wrote something. Now enough of that crap. On to the prologue! +++ Prologue An angelic creature that vaguely resembled an archaeopteryx hovered over the cluster of universes far below it. It had been observing these universes for a while, and it had seen many things –among them the rise of a race of darkness, the emergence of a boy hero and his companions that overcame that, and the same defeating a host of disembodied souls. At the moment, however, things seemed peaceful. But the creature knew that there were other threats, things that lurked beneath the surface, waiting to strike. And not even the boy hero and his friends could deal with them all. He thought back to all the things he had witnessed, relived the adventures of various beings in his mind to find an answer to one threat in particular. And, suddenly, he had it. He stopped hovering and dove down to the universes below. The creature homed in on one universe, slamming into it at full speed. He emerged directly above a castle, the residents of which were all busy making lanterns for a festival that would happen that night. Fortunately, the clouds obscured his arrival, and he immediately zoomed towards the sun. The creature raced away, through the vacuum of space, toward the extreme heat and light of the sun. It kept going regardless of all these factors, until it had reached its destination. Then it outstretched its feet and raked into the surface of the sun with its talons. Thousands of tiny droplets were catapulted towards the earth from the impact, heading to the planet at high speed. The creature focused its mind on about thirteen of them, manipulating physics to make them go as fast as he was back towards the kingdom. When the thirteen droplets of sun landed in a field outside the kingdom's walls, he stopped to watch what would happen next. Where the droplets had fallen, thirteen glowing orange flowers grew. The creature immediately began to glow in response. When the glow faded, he had split into thirteen smaller versions of himself, and those flew down to the field and plucked a flower each from the ground. They re-fused in the air, and the collected flowers orbited around the creature's body in a ring. He rocketed off, and vanished from the universe entirely. Once back outside the universe, he dove down, deep into the black parts below the Lanes Between. He flew face-first into darkness, and the forces lurking within it were only repelled by either the creature's sheer power, the influence of the flowers, or both. He didn't care what, only that it bought him some time. He focused on an image in his mind, and began to sing. Flower, gleam and glow Let your power shine, Make the clock reverse Bring back what once was mine Heal what has been hurt Change the Fate's Design Save what has been lost Bring back what once was mine. The flowers began glowing even brighter in response, and they rocketed off towards a particular region of the blackness. The creature followed, until he saw that the flowers were now orbiting a new target – a small piece of the blackness, a lump of nothing that was gradually forming into something. Something that resembled a person. The creature stretched out his talons once again, reaching for the object. The two collided full force. * * * He… was the only one I liked… he made me feel… like I had a heart. The last thing Axel expected was to wake up. But woken up he was, by a sudden jolt that seemed to have come from a wrecking ball. As he oriented himself, and as the force pushing him along smoothed, he noticed the only light was coming from above him. He looked in that direction to see he was in the grip of a massive, bird-dragon entity. "Wh-Where am I?" The creature looked down at him. "You're in the Darkness. It's a pretty nasty place, I don't like talking about it much. Wanna get up on my back?" Axel gripped onto the leg of the creature, and slowly made his way up until he was on its back. He wrapped his arms around the creature's neck, wondering if it would be enough to prevent him from falling off. "We have to hurry now. Now that those flowers are gone some of this place's residents might get bold enough to attack us." "Wait, wha…" There was a screeching noise behind them. "Oh boy, they found us." said the creature. Axel looked behind him. Thousands of creatures, with red glowing single eyes and spindly robotic legs, were crawling towards them on some invisible surface. Bizarely, their bodies resembled bowler hats. "What are those?" "DOR15s, otherwise known as Helper Hats. They came down here because of a time paradox, and they took it upon themselves to guard the place. They don't like intruders, and they like escapees even worse." "Are they a threat?" "To me? No, of course not! You, on the other hand, they'll gladly rip to pieces, so it's best we stay out of their way." And with that he began to swerve and zigzag, with the DOR15s in close pursuit. "Going up!" said the creature. He shot upward, toward a speck of light far above them, which got closer and closer by the second. "Almost there…" Suddenly, a gigantic DOR15 appeared, blotting out the light above, and shining its own red light from its central eye down upon them. Axel, being a Nobody, could not feel true emotions. However, at that moment he felt the closest thing to actual fear he had ever experienced. The creature, on the other hand, was prepared. He opened his mouth and fired a beam of pulsating white energy at the looming mechanoid. It was blasted to smithereens, and the pair shot up through the debris and out of the blackness. The creature calmly flew to a nearby universe, emerging on a tropical island. He landed on a beach, and Axel quickly hopped off the creature's back. "That was a close one!" said the creature. "You never know when shooting stuff from your mouth will be useful, will you?" "Okay, birdy, two questions," replied Axel. "One, why am I not dead?" The creature gave a shrug with his wings. "I brought you back." "Very funny. Two, who are you?" The creature seemed to literally swell up with pride. "That I can answer more thoroughly! I am Alphos, Prankster King, Lord of All Awesome, Patron God of Epicness…" He suddenly seemed to droop, and his demeanor became far more serious. "…And I need your help." "Why would an ultra-powerful birdy like you need my help for? " "Look, there's something going on right now. Something really, really bad. Worse than the Heartless, worse than that organization you ran around with. And the only one who can stop them is…" "Me?" "Heck no. Roxas." Axel suddenly perked up. "Yeah, you probably know Roxas better than almost anybody. And that's why I need you." "But he's a part of that Sora kid now, right? How are we gonna get to him?" Alphos smiled. "Leave that to me." +++ In case you can't tell (If you couldn't, I'm overjoyed), the extremely powerful character I warned about is Alphos. *has morbid fear of people hating said character's guts*. Anyway, give some constructive feedback and I'll have the next chapter up soon.

I thought Nomura said in 2010 that he was working on getting Pixar in there? Did Pixar themselves say something to the contrary? Because I can't seem to find it. -
KHDays Who is your favorite Organization character?

I'm gonna go against the mold here and say Larxene. Why? She's such a huge beeyotch that she's funny. I actually remember laughing at how horrible she was in 358 1/2 Days, for no particular reason. However, I can't deny that I have a soft spot for the three most popular - Roxas, Axel, and Xion - as well. -

Thanks, and I appreciate the good news (this is one of the friendlier communities out there) and the bad news (that my primary reason for joining may be futile). Regardless of the latter, though, I'll probably try it out anyway and stick around for a while.

I have a thing for long introductions. Bear with me. The name's Umbramatic (though being a huge Pokemon fan as well as a KH fan I go by InsaneTyranitar some other places). This is the first KH forum I've joined, but I've been on forums for other video game series as well (Plus TV Tropes for a short time, so be warned that while I won't screw your day over by linking to them, I may use their terminology on occasion). As for how I became a Kingdom Hearts fan, well, I've been a Disney fan all my life, and became a Final Fantasy fan during my early teenage years. While I was getting into Final Fantasy I slowly got more and more into Kingdom Hearts, but I only really got into it rather recently, when I started getting utterly fascinated by the world and characters and how in-depth it all is. But I didn't join this forum solely because I'm a huge fan now. I'm also an aspiring writer, and after much planning I'm finally starting to write an epic Kingdom Hearts fic I've been wanting to write for a long time. Afraid it would be lost in the crowd at FFnet, I decided to post it here as well, hoping it would get more of an audience. So, I'm mostly going to be hanging out in the fanfiction section, but I'l probably venture out to discuss things in other sections as well. If you took the time to read all that, thanks. I hope I have a good time here!
