I know what scene it is. At what point do we see Ven opening Destiny Islands door?
-
So, for the longest time, we've never really known the length of the gloves the Organization XIII/Black Coat outfit is. They've never animated the sleeve falling down, so we've never really known. Well, until now apparently. I don't know why I've never noticed it before, and I'm sure I'm not the first, but in the opening for 3D, after Roxas leaps at Final Xemnas and he turns into Riku and Sora, once they're Keyblades clash with his beams, you see Xemnas's sleeves move up a bit, and we see his gloves only go to his wrist. So, mystery solved, I guess? Once more, sorry if this is dumb and everyone has already noticed, but the phrase from the wiki "...and gloves of unknown length..." has for some reason stuck with me. I do love gloves though....maybe that's why....well anyways, there's a bit of trivia for you. see?

Ven didn't open the door of Destiny Islands...it's never been shown, but it was most likely Riku.

KH3D Kingdom Hearts 3D set for July 27, 2012 release in Europe
TheBucket2 replied to DChiuch's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
In quick response to Update 3 (the boxart) I think we can assume this'll be similar to the NA boxart as well. NA standard logos (such as the ESRB rating and what-not) are generally in the same places as the EU ones. I'd say it is. Before the last couple years, NA was getting special treatment over EU. But for the last 2-3 years, the EU countries have been getting more special editions and earlier news, which I think is fine. We've had our turn. -
Deleted content, very interesting!

Using that logic, then anyone could post a thread saying "Vanitas looks like Sora because of his connection with Ven's heart!" because they just figured it out. Now you can not sit there and tell me literally everybody would be saying "yeah, we already knew that...old news." Y'know why? It is. The "deleted/hidden content" page on the KH wiki (along with multiple other kh fansites) has been up for years now. If someone didn't know about it, then yes, they're behind the curve. It's our responsibility to let them know that. It's not like anyone's being a douche about it either. I've never seen someone blatantly be rude to a poster who said something that wasn't new. We just simply state that it's old. So yeah, I'm gonna keep posting "already new/old news" in threads made for stuff everybody already new. Have a nice day now. -
Oh hey, another Olan Rogers fan! Hell yeah! "What does the M and M stand for? Ha! Magical....Beans!"

BbS doesn't have a manga...it has a novelization with cover art by Amano, but no manga yet. The novelization mentions how Vanitas had no face before connecting to Sora, and it's a possibility that it might be him...but remember, we've already seen Vanitas in DDD and he still looks like he did at the end of BbS, with Sora's face and his red/black suit. As far as the actual topic of this thread though, I actually thought it was obvious they weren't Organization members...they don't appear as they have ever before. XIII members use corridors of darkness and when they appear in another way, as other Nobodies do, it has vines of nothingness wrapped around them. These figures just appeared in a burst of dark fog from those lasers. I think they're just dopplegangers of YMX or something. That's not too far of a stretch, Xemnas alone had the ability to make clones of himself.

KH3D Kingdom Hearts 3D website updated with new trailer
TheBucket2 replied to DChiuch's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
.....wow.....ok, well a few things to talk about then.... Looks like there's gonna be much more of a focus on Lea than I originally thought. We'll probably see random snippets of him throughout the game, then he'll make a bigger appearance towards the end. I did notice we didn't see any more of Maleficent, though. Odd. Maybe she won't be playing as big a role as previously thought. Well we see Braig is back, too (has to be Braig, no way that's Xigbar.) So that's cool. And he's still cracking jokes at Sora for looking like Ven... Seems like Young Master Xehanort is much more powerful than I initially thought. It at least is made to appear that way. The appearance of Master Xehanort in his older incarnation is confusing though. Even more confusing, why were he, Xemnas, and what APPEARS to be Ansem SoD (he was in a Cloak, so it could be a Riku memory, which is plausible because we have seen a Riku copy in a Cloak earlier in the game) in Where Nothing Gathers. So it looks like The World That Never Was still...is. We saw the ruins of the city later on in the trailer and a couple scenes take place there. Or it could be that TWTNW has become one of the Dream worlds, fallen to sleep after what happened with Xemnas. Let's sum up the flashing images towards the end of the vid...Ven's darkened Keyblade armor with a Nightmare symbol on the visor, then Ven's normal armor on the floor of what appears to be an Awakening Station, a shot of Namine that turns into Xion facing Sora, Riku and Kairi standing in the ruins of TWTNW which replaces them with Aqua and Terra respectively, a figure on a Cloak with two large Heartless-like red eyes, the Guardian in some purple location reaching out, then Sora sitting asleep (similar to Ven) on a seat high above in Where Nothing Gathers, and we see the rest of the seats filled with people in Cloaks. The first couple of things make me firmly believe now that Sora will take a Dive to the Heart. Maybe face a Nightmare of Ven's armor and meet Xion, they go back to TWTNW in some form, someone had mentioned the red-eyed figure might be Vanitas, but we already saw him earlier and he was in his form from BbS, which makes sense. If he did come back, he would still have that connection to Sora through Ven's heart, so he would still have Sora's face. No idea what that could be. So, yeah. A lot new to take in, but again there's only one true way to find out. Wait for the game to come out. -
Thanks for all that, dude. I haven't had a good discussive argument in awhile. Feels good.

Except having a son. And a daughter. And the Death Star being blown up. Twice. And never found Yoda, even though he stayed on the same planet the entire time. Or Obi-Wan, who only changed his first name and stayed on the planet where Vader grew up...and only was at Cloud City because of Lando. Vader's cool and all, but he's far from the best. Even after rising to become Sidious's apprentice (which by the way, he couldn't ever keep his OWN alive long enough to follow Bane's Rule of Two and usurp the Emperor) and second-in-command of the known galaxy, he still lived in constant fear of his future, which is what always lead Anakin astray, and what would keep inflicting his life as Vader. As I, and you, have said, Maul was too headstrong. But as far as actual combat goes, which is the point of this thread, Maul would win. That's what happened in their fight anyways. Maul was about to deal the killing blow to Vader, but he got too headstrong and unfocused, and didn't realize Vader was putting his lightsaber's ignitor to his stomach and couldn't react before Vader turned it on. Maul's only downside is his cockiness.
-
Except Yoda. And a handful of other Jedi who escaped. And he only killed Obi-Wan because he let him. And yes, I will say that Maul is stronger than Vader. The only problem Maul had is that he was always too full of himself. That's why he lost to Obi-Wan and Vader later on. He's too cocky. But his fighting skills are much higher, especially after Vader got his prosthetics. And yes he got used to them, but he was still far from his old self. Maul would be a very good match for Xemnas. They both fight standard with two blades and are very acrobatic and quick. Also both are very headstrong. Though I think Xemnas in the end would have a better chance again from his ability to have multiple lasers at once. Maul could deflect for awhile, but not forever.
-
I cannot express the amount of rage I have towards you for forgetting Vader's name. No excuses. But for my answer, it's Xemnas. Vader never truly got used to moving around with his new mechanics, and wasn't able to use most of his traditional fighting skills as Anakin. Most of the outfit restricted his movements and got in the way of even regular tasks such as walking. Due to most of the plating and scars, he could barely lift his hands over his head (which sucks seeing as that's what most of Vader's fighting consisted of.) In the end, Vader, while extremely powerful, isn't fast enough to keep up with Xemnas. Even if Vader was able to get Xemnas into a Force choke or some other type of immobility, Xemnas has the ability to actually fire and create multiples of his weapon, whereas Vader only has his single-bladed lightsaber (sure, he could throw it, but it would need time to return before he could manipulate it again.) Xemnas is overall faster and has more abilities. He would win. Xemnas versus Maul, however.........

Bodies need a bit of work. As far as making Xion's eyes look more female, just add slight eyelashes to the end of the eye. That's really the only difference you'd have to do with the....style...of eyes you do. Other than that, they just look like average Fruits Basket-like characters.
-
This isn't just the boxart....he has it in the game, too. I'm surprised you haven't noticed by now.

Not sure if want, but here's the KHDDD boxart over the old (Sora) version of the wallpaper. And this is why I said Nomura should have chosen a darker color for the background...it doesn't fit well with any design they've had so far.

KH3D Kingdom Hearts 3D box artwork revealed
TheBucket2 replied to JTD95's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I expected something different. I like it, it just seems like it should of had more darks and purples, seeing as that's how they've been promoting it. The clouds are nice but, I wish the sky would have been night instead of day. 358's color was red, so they had they background as twilight town with the sunset. Bbs is blue, so they're background had a blue tint to it. 3D is purple, and there isn't any. The logo is dark, I think the background should have been dark. Still like it though. -
Maybe that's the "shocking" ending. Sora using dark powers. Eh, who knows. We'll just have to wait and see. But I will agree with what everyone has been saying; the phrase is definitely shown in the art. This makes me take back what I said... Although, look even closer, you can see that Sora's eyes are closed (his pose is even similar to when we see someone going to their Dive to the Heart) and Riku's are open. Maybe instead of Sora falling to Darkness, necessarily, he'll fall even further than the Dream worlds and begin a sleep within his Dive. Maybe that's where he'll meet and "help" those connected. Ven, Roxas, maybe even a ghost if Xion.

....wow....so this is what happens to a thread when you leave it alone for awhile.....huh..... But i'll just assume this all meant there is no canon answer to it...
-
So, I've never 100% played through the CoM story (though I know the storyline and all), but I have a question about something. I can't remember every small detail, so forgive me if this was explained or not but...was there an explanation as to how exactly Marluxia got such power? Is it just left as "well, he's a more-than-average powerful Nobody"? Or was there something about that room in the castle (which I doubt, since that doesn't make sense now that we know its origins.) So yeah, I can't remember if it says he got his powers from somewhere external or not.
-
Eeeeeyup. What they said. And though at the time Nomura had no concept of this, we can now say it could have partially come from Ven, too.
-
Well you could try GameStop's website...
