How Do You Deal With People Asking You Out?
AnHeiressofaSOLDIER replied to Think Pink's topic in General Discussion
Someone's probably already said this, but you should just tell this person you're taken. It might not work, but it's been proven that people are more likely to take the hint, when they know "you're someone else's property". That's why a lot of girls wear engagement rings when they go to bars and stuff (even if they really aren't with anyone). -shrugs- -
I suppose you're right. But really what I was referring to (and should have made clearer) is even how Donald and Goofy don't think they're as good as Sora. Like how they're always referring to him to make the decision or act when something happens. Or how they'll be like, "Do you really think we can take them all by ourselves?" Or even how they got blasted by the Heartless when Sora met them. I want to see Donald and Goofy stand on their own more, and to be comfortable in their own abilities, you know? Even they're starting to feel useless, after all (as scene in the secret ending of DDD).

Kairi, Kairi, Kairi, and Kairi. I also wouldn't mind playing as Naminé, so long as they give her something to use besides a Keyblade (and she doesn't steal Kairi's thunder, like she often times does). Let her use her memory powers or something. I also wouldn't mind playing Donald or Goofy for a bit (kind of like you could play as Mickey to save Sora in KHII). I feel like they deserve their time in the sun, too. Like, instead of Sora always saving them... Well, they could have Sora get knocked out or something and Donald or Goofy save him (and you get to play that part). Yeah...

I'll admit I've just started watching Naruto (because I'm a loser), but I don't really buy this. No offence. I actually see Sakura being closer to Sansa Stark in the GoT series, but I digress. See? The thing with Kairi is that she has a TON of potential and WANTS to help. Whereas Sakura... at least where I'm at, hasn't really expressed any desire to do so (and just stands there), and only seems to care about fawning over Sasuke. Kairi, on the other hand, would help, if people like Sora wouldn't keep telling her not to. Or if the series wasn't filled with bad and sexist writing, too many characters, and a thing about writing themselves into corners. Seriously. It is never going to be okay with me that they never explained why Kairi didn't fight more with her Keyblade after using it that first time. They literally explained nothing. How Riku got it, whether it's hers or not, if she dismissed it or just hid it somewhere, etc. This is exactly why there was so much uncertainty for the longest time about whether or not Kairi was a true wielder or not. And why there's still doubt about whether Destiny's Embrace is hers or not. Also... what exactly do you expect Kairi to do? Unlike everyone else (and Sakura in Naruto), she has NO fighting experience (though she still tries her best), and doesn't even have a proper weapon until II, and then Nomura effectively pushes her to the side (with no explanation as to why) for the rest of the duration of the game. That's not her fault. Plus, Kairi has done a lot with what she has, in my opinion. Like with her PoH powers in saving Sora (that she'll hopefully be able to use properly someday), evading capture, etc. And this was all BEFORE she even had a weapon. And personally, I think the point of all of this is that it's supposed to lead to massive character development in III. Kind of like how there was little to no info released about Aqua before BbS came out, and she arguably became the strongest and most important character in the game. Kairi's a real diamond in the rough, and it's sort of sad that a lot of people seem to forget that. So in short, I don't agree with you, but this is just my opinion. You don't have to agree with me, of course, and though I don't agree with it... I do respect your opinion, like I hope you will mine. But I do feel like people are too focused on only seeing worthwhile characters as "fighters" in today's world. But you can be strong in more ways than one. I mean, look at Naminé. Everyone would be lost without her, and she's arguably the most passive person in the series.

The Future of the FINAL FANTASY series
AnHeiressofaSOLDIER replied to Sora96's topic in General Discussion
Edit: Oh, and the fan named "Final Fantasy VII: Eternal Crisis" (that will inevitably be after DoC and deal with Genesis having come back). How could I have possibly forgotten about that? All I have to say is that SE better also be working on TWEWY2. It's been a year since the "New Seven Days" thing was seen in Solo Remix, but what does Square choose to do first? Mess up the FFX series' canon forever. Ugh. Also, I wouldn't mind if we actually got things like a Before Crisis remake, a localized Type-0, and Fortress with the inevitable FFXII Remaster, but it probably won't happen. I'd love me some Revenant Wings remade cutscenes, though. I actually loved that game to pieces, and need to see those beautiful Vaan/Penelo kisses. Okay?! I'm also willing to bet another Dissidia is in line, as they hinted at it. Yeah... I'm also really hoping that Nomura is at least planning the bare bones of KH IV already, as I want the next Saga to be planned out thoroughly from the get-go. And I don't want to have to wait a million years for IV, like we did III, but I know it won't happen.... -
Okay, I'm confused. (And I've been hearing different reports all over the Internet, which doesn't help). Can you unlock both "Another Side, Another Story" and "Deep Dive" in I.5? And if so, and the above is how you unlock DD, then how do you get ASAS? I'm especially confused because in the original KHI, to get ASAS, you had had to seal all the worlds, complete the Hades cup, and find the dalmatians, but it seems that's how you unlock DD in Proud now? Yeah, I'm definitely lost, so if anyone could help me, I'd greatly appreciate it. LOL.

DLC in KH3?
AnHeiressofaSOLDIER replied to King_Dragon2's topic in Kingdom Hearts III & Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind
Someone on KHInsider said this, and I completely agree with them: Basically, I want to see Sora, Riku, Kairi (and maybe some of the others?) finally going to visit worlds together, and having the Heartless crash the party or something. Like, we could see a little scene of them going to the Feast of Fools, but then you have to fight the Heartless after that, you know? I just think it would be nice to finally see them enjoying the worlds together, like they'd always wanted (especially since KH has been sort of been lacking in the SRK relationship development lately, and they probably won't even have time to cater to it in KHIII), but not have it be strictly canon, you know? I mean, we don't need to know that SRK went to Notre Dame for a small vacation between III and IV to understand KHIV. Do you get what I'm saying at all? (I don't think I'm explaining this very well...) Basically, I want filler-ish story content, that isn't really necessary to the story. I don't want it to turn into, "You need to play every KH thing imaginable to understand the next game" like this Saga turned into, but rather just have it be a nice little scene that stands on its own. Yeah... -
Personally, I think this better be confirmed, or I'll pretty much be done with the series. I'm sorry. But I'd be lying if I said I'm completely satisfied with the series of late, and what they've done (or moreover, haven't done) with Kairi vexes me the most. I swear to god that if they FINALLY set her up to do something and be important, just to rip the chance away from her again, I'm going to riot. But going about it in a more logical way, Sora and them were looking for the last of the Seven, when the secret ending says, "The light within the darkness" (which has been used to describe Kairi before), "leads to the last key". And then they show Kairi. I think it's pretty clear they mean Kairi... And once again, if Square sets this up--only to have it mean nothing, in the end--I'm going to lose all faith in them when it comes to Kairi. And maybe all faith in them, in general, too.

You are my new love, Riku21Terr. I clicked on this thread, thinking I'd mention The Mortal Instruments here, but lo and behold this is pretty much what the thread is about. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I LOVE TMI (the books and the movie), and it deserves so much more credit than it gets. It scares me that fans of the series are pretty much sabotaging their own franchise, due to a few changes. I mean, c'mon, people! Even if you don't like certain parts, this is still one of the most faithful adaptations I've ever seen, and a great movie. And some of the things people are complaining about are unwarranted. I don't want to spoil things, but Valentine trying to get Clary to drink from the Cup is foreshadowing to City of Glass, and yet... people didn't realize that, and complained about "the change". Anyway, if you're going to support TMI, I'm right behind you. It's one of my favorite series (personally, I like it better than THG, even), and think it deserves another chance. The main problem was marketing and bad timing, I think. So hopefully that changes next time (like, even though I'm one of the rare fans of Twilight, they shouldn't have advertised it like it), and fans are less nitpicky. If they stop at City of Ashes, I might just die. (And they actually cancelled that one, until fans miraculously convinced them to give it another go). I mean, at least finish the first trilogy, is all I ask. I've been waiting for this adaptation for four years, and I'm going to be sad if it ends like this. I'm really surprised how this has all gone down, tbh, since it has a big fanbase, and was even popular before things like THG and Divergent. -le sigh-

Actually, now that I think about it... I think I heard somewhere that Nomura didn't even pitch the idea to Disney. He just assumed they'd say no, and then Dissidia became an FF thing instead. Which is sad... seeing as how Disney Infinity just came out, they might have said yes about the fighting thing. Nomura should think about trying it again:) Also... I know this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kTe9_PONok is just a mod, but damn if it's not awesome! If there ever is a KH Dissidia, I hope we get Kairi in it! LOL. Or better yet: just make her like this in KHIII. Seriously. This is the perfect fighting style/personality for her:)

I'm sick atm, so I can relate perfectly. Ugh. And I think I'll have to go to work tomorrow, too, when I've felt terrible for 3+ days, but such is life, I guess:)

But Terra is being controlled by Xehanort at the moment. He has to be a Darkness. I mean, Mickey lists off the wielders he knows (including Terra in that), and after he says this, MX replies, "But Sora and another on your list belong to me now." Sora is, of course, saved in the end, but Terra is still very clearly a Darkness.
-
Agreed. I don't get why people argue that the Nobodies and Replica are going to come back. I mean, it's been pretty dang clear since BbS. Coded also touched on this, and DDD even explained how it could happen, via Ansem's Data and stuff like that. Also, there's the fact that Sora's looking for the Key to Return Hearts in III... People are so stubborn. I mean, I don't blame people if they're just confused (as KH is a confusing series), but for the people who are just in denial... I mean, c'mon. Also... I don't get why so many people still think Roxas and Ven are the same. I think they've made it clear hundreds of times that they're not, but whatev. And you know what really sucks: when all the people who haven't played the portable games come back for III, we're going to have to hear things like, "Why are there two Roxases?" all over again. Ugh. Another thing I don't get is why people are so adamant to say Terra is a Light, when MX freakin' states that he's a Darkness. I swear it's just because people don't want Lea and/or Kairi to be a Light, so they're just deluding themselves. Granted, Terra might be saved and become a Light later in the game, but atm he's definitely not, and is actually a Darkness. Edit: Also, now that I think about it, what I said about Terra above also applies to Roxas (besides the him being a Darkness part). Everyone thinks that he's going to be a Light because of the intro of DDD (but when have the intros in KH ever been anything but symbolic? I think they just used Roxas because he's one of the main characters, and has had a game about him like the others have), but as of now... we know that's not the case. It could happen, mind you, but not right away. First off, Roxas needs to be rescued, and then he has to obtain his own Keyblade or something to even be able to fight (as the Keyblade was never his, and when he becomes his own person, he probably won't be able to use it). As of now, the Seven Lights are most likely: Sora, Riku, Kairi, Ventus, Aqua, Mickey, and Lea. Yeah...

When Sora sacrifices his heart to save Kairi. That's just a wonderful scene all around, and a monumental moment/plot twist. Especially since I don't think anyone saw it coming, and most people struggled forever against Riku/Ansem before triggering it... to be awarded of a scene of that magnitude was just simply amazing. It's then that I knew KH was something special, I'd always love it, and that I really began shipping SoKai. I could say a ton more, but I'll restrain myself for the moment. LOL. (Though who doesn't love playing as a Heartless? )

KH1 Kairi's Thoughts - Kingdom Hearts I Ending
AnHeiressofaSOLDIER replied to Larxy's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I don't know, but that's always bothered me, because the ending seems sort of off without it. Like, Sora and Kairi just had this tense conversation, explaining they're always together and will see each other soon. And then, Sora keeps saying Kairi's name as he fades away. It seems like its missing a plot point, in not having Kairi's response to that. Plus, that's one of the few insights into her mind we've ever gotten! -sigh- I really wish it was in the English version. I think it closed things off more nicely that way. -
I would have named 358/2 Days "Another Side, Another Story" or "Deep Dive". Days is just a stupid and confusing name to begin with. And one of those other two names (primarily the first one) would have been perfect! Those secret endings were about Days, after all! Why they decided to add more confusion and call it something else, I'll never understand. -sigh- Silly, silly Nomura.
-
I voted for KHIIFM, of course, because it added so much/new important canon, that it might as well have been a new game entirely. LOL. It'll be so nice to finally get my hands on that... And god help me... I'm really looking forward to the Re:Coded cutscenes, too, and I hated that game. But there's no denying that it had its moments, and some great/funny dialogue that I'll love to see voiced, and put into movie form (and this time I highly suspect it'll be more movie-ish). It'll also be nice to play BbSFM (even though it didn't have too many additions to it) on the PS3. Hopefully, they can add things like NPCs and an online Mirage Arena, which would be epic. And with any luck, we'll get something about III with all of this, too. Man, do I ever want this collection... Also, I hope that the Re:Coded cutscenes unlock commands like Exo Spark, when playing BbS or something. I think that would be a nice bonus, if the Coded movie gave you BbS moves (since BbS and Coded both had the same gameplay style), like how watching the Days movie gave you CoM cards. Yeah...

What is your favorite theme of a character
AnHeiressofaSOLDIER replied to verdesthe's topic in General Discussion
Can I say "amnesia" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9BrsAqdWskfrom TWEWY? That game had some great music, and that might as well be Neku's theme for: "Crap, I thought I won the game! What is this shit?!" or "No! People like 777 are dying. Why?!" Also stuff like "Three Minutes Clapping" from that game (for Joshua's unofficial theme and whatnot) are also good. Anyway... I'd also list music from KH, FF, or Madoka Magica, but I know y'all will beat me to it. LOL. -
This reminds me of an amazing fanfiction trilogy someone made, explaining Sora's parents' reactions to everything. It's so amazing, and in my headcanon now. LOL. Here's the links, if anyone's interested. These are certainly some of the best fanfics I've ever found (-cough-especially for KH-cough-). So Vanille's Aerith now?! ...Okay then. I thought they were trying to make Serah the new Aerith, but I suppose we can have two of her running aroundXD (I kid... mostly.) Can't wait for this game to come out! Let's hope it has a happy ending for everyone involved (even Caius, I guess). Though I swear if Snow and Serah don't get married, or we don't see Noel get to be with Yeul, I'm going to break someone!

Can Namine' use the Keyblade?
AnHeiressofaSOLDIER replied to kingdomlanelover's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Theoretically, she most likely can since she's Kairi's Nobody, created from Sora, possibly connected to Ventus, and has a heart of her own. Do I want her to have one, though? No. I want them to make more use of her memory powers. Personally, I think there's a reason we've never seen her with a Keyblade. I don't think she has a strong enough heart to wield one, as people walk all over. But then again... considering how Nomura's handing them out like candy these days, she'll probably get one for better or for worse at some point. I mean, I don't want her to be left out of the fight, but I also don't want her to lose her originality. Though it would be cool if she gained her own Keyblade, whilst living inside Kairi for a while. Then Kai could dual wield, which I think would help her a lot, since she's so new to fighting (until Nami becomes her own person, anyway). -
Who is your favorite FF character?
AnHeiressofaSOLDIER replied to DarkAvenger's topic in General Discussion
Zidane Tribal. No questions asked. He goes through so much crap (more than some of the other characters have, actually), and through it all: he's badass, keeps a positive outlook, and is loyal to his friends. Oh, how I love Zidane Tribal... And he was so Tidus 1.0, honestly (but somewhat better, in my opinion). Yeah... -
...-looks at all the positive responses to my post in astonishment- Wow. I never thought what I said would warrant such a response! Thanks guys. LOL. I really appreciate it, and that all of you are willing to give Kairi a chance. LOL. Here's hoping she'll really get to shine in KHIII! A few other things I've remembered that Kairi has going for her is that: she's brave (Axel even says as much), she's a spitfire, and probably is the most book smart out of the trio (as she's the only one who's been going to school regularly). So who knows? Maybe all of this could help her, too? Maybe she'll end up being Hermione-esque? Or more accurately, I could really see her being like Clary from The Mortal Instruments. Both are fiery, and determined to protect the things they love. And they're both pretty dang strong for their lack of training. It's the things they love that drives them, and after Kairi sees how much the multiverse needs her in III, I can easily see her wanting to live up to their expectations and defend it. She does make up all the Light in the world, after all (with the other Princesses). Yeah... Also... I'm really looking for some Lea/Kairi interaction in III. I think that'd be amusing on so many levels. I mean, they're both very feisty, Axel kidnapped her, and they're both new at learning to use the Keyblade. I think their moments together would just be great. LOL.
