  1. Please quote at least one example of the word 'soul' ever being used in relation to Kingdom Hearts, whether its from the in-game script or a Tetsuya Nomura interview. As far as I know, souls have never even been mentioned. And if it has, I'd really like to know about it. I'm not entirely arguing about the Namine point. However, Namine was found in an entirely different location than Roxas and that's a crazy point to explain anyway. In fact, Namine was found in Castle Oblivion, a place above all others it'd make sense for Roxas to be found because of Ventus. But he wasn't. And by all means, perhaps, just maybe, he was there before Twilight Town and for the few minutes Sora was a Heartless and Roxas may have been more than we see of him, he left Castle Oblivion for some reason. It's plausible, anyway. There's no solid proof to any theory about Namine being created prior to Kairi's recovery, so I'm not going to defend it. It was just another one of those possibilities. Afterall, she was found in a different location. I also have a feeling she was found first but I don't know if that was ever actually said or not. And even if she was found first, that could very well just be because they're in two different spots and Castle Oblivion was someplace the Organization was already searching through and Twilight Town just wasn't where they already were. *shrug* But, no, really, for my own sake - souls? Really? Where? That's not something I should have missed. Souls are one of those things everyone thought would be relevant to Birth by Sleep but it turned out otherwise. There's still a chance for it to be present in the series, but everyone hunted that down real good. If anyone ever had something to back up any theory regarding souls with the game's canon, everyone would have been on it by now. So... were souls mentioned anywhere?
  2. More importantly, try and freeze around 0:15. We see the red and the wonky yellow shoes and the other thing in our minds is KH1 Sora. But I see a band of silver and then black that extends below the knee. This is more like Limit Form Sora in KH2FM or perhaps a completely new design. Or I think I may be hallucinating... -__- It doesn't seem to look like it anywhere but right there. So... what do you think? Maybe I'm just staring at the bottom of his shoe somehow.
  3. Vanitas Sentiment No Heart (haven't gotten to fight him, but the musiiiiiiic. ) Vanitas Aqua's Terranort battle Mysterious Figure (oddly just not as fun as the others...) Master Xehanort and then Terranort immediately after (counting as one) Mimic Master Zack Capt. Hook. () that annoying large jelly you fight with Ventus right before getting into Deep Space
  4. I noticed I could vote for more than one. My real vote is Master Xehanort, but I voted for Kairi just for lulz. Surprisingly, she has nearly as many votes as MX. Lol! (No really, princesses shouldn't have Keyblades. She's gonna kick butt once she masters that thing.)
  5. Hard to make out but looks very much like Donald on top and Goofy below that. Figures~ *sigh* I thought maybe if they were far enough along to give a demo they could have at least shown a trailer. And hey, not even a new one, why not the one from before? But... oh well. Maybe later this week.
  6. Right, although that was a very unique case... Master Xehanort's heart was removed from his body but it didn't go into the dark, it went into Terra. Interestingly, 'Ansem, Seeker of Darkness' matches up well with this, as when Apprentice Xehanort lost his heart, 'his' Heartless seems to be a two-set masterpiece with the Guardian and all. Whether or not Master Xehanort inside was a Heartless all along or didn't become one until Terra's heart officially left his body is debatable, but either way he showed an interesting connection to the Heartless when they first began appearing in Radiant Garden. As for this creating a Nobody... Kairi was never capable of falling into darkness herself, but her heart still left her body to be with Sora. So somewhere between the automatic assumption you 'lose your heart, it falls to darkness' and you get a Heartless and a Nobody... its actually a two-step process in my mind, and completely backwards. You lose your heart, you get a Nobody. It falls to darkness, you get a Heartless. If it doesn't fall, or cannot fall because of princess status, you're simply not going to get a Heartless, but you still have a Nobody. And just because your heart returns to your body, or any body, it doesn't mean your Nobody just goes away. Kairi restored Sora's heart in Hollow Bastion, afterall.** This very easily means that Namine appeared the moment her heart left her body to go to Sora, not when it left Sora's body to return to Kairi. In any case... the Birth by Sleep Final Mix extra boss 'No Heart' = MX's Nobody, perhaps? And yet I do not doubt that Xemnas is 'Terranort's Nobody, not simply Terra's. With that thought in mind, the logistics of hearts leaving bodies and having to take into account when, where, why and how a Nobody takes on the form it does... well that's still in the works. Sora and Xehanort are very unique cases and while their experiences can be compared, there's just no comparing some very important details.** **Why does Sora's Nobody look like Ventus and not Sora? If Sora doesn't have a Nobody that looks like him, why can't Xehanort have two? Roxas is very much Sora + Ven in the same way I believe Xemnas is Terra + Xehanort. Not just Terra, definitely not just Sora or Ven. Their hearts were one in their original bodies, and the body was influenced by both. The Nobody is tied to both hearts. **I keep using these to tie things together, but... as it was, Sora's heart was returned to the body. Was Ven's heart returned to Sora's body? The imbalance ever after in Sora (anti!form) makes me assume most definitely not (and while Roxas rejoined with Sora at the start of KH2, that doesn't necessarily mean Ven's heart returned). It was perhaps at this early point, a matter of minutes after his creation, that Roxas changed to the mute state he was for so long, seemingly to entirely have forgotten his past, leading him to be so curious to pursue after information on Sora all because Sora's heart was rescued from the dark. (He may have even looked like Sora prior to Sora having his heart restored.) This leads me to my final conclusion... the other Organization members remember their past excluding Xion (who isn't a Nobody proper), Roxas (who is missing his connection to Sora because Sora was restored), and Xemnas. Perhaps Xemnas is missing his full memory because Master Xehanort does indeed have a separate Nobody. Effectively he would have had one prior to his heart leaving A body again, not, but effectively, yes. Or it could also have something to do with the recent defeat of 'Ansem, Seeker of Darkness'. Whatever the reason, these things are all connected. And there's still one glaring flaw in all of it, so before I get jumped on about it: Riku's heart left his body. But his body didn't fade away. He does not have a Nobody. It is not simply about the heart leaving the body and falling into darkness. However, Kairi's heart left her body and her body didn't fade away. She DOES have a Nobody. Neither have Heartless. Kairi because her heart is far from compatible with darkness and Riku... well, he's just lucky, isn't he? There was no heart inside Kairi, but... inside Riku... there was 'Ansem, Seeker of Darkness'. Riku's body was never alone without a heart inside it, while Kairi's was. This implies 'Ansem', Xehanort's Heartless counts as a heart. o3o So... really, all cases are too different to draw exact conclusions on some points. If it can be made more clear, it probably will, so long as its important. These guys all seem to be exceptions to the basic rules of Nobody-ness. **Probably going to get a lot of unnecessary arguing about different points I've brought up because I seem to be in unpopular opinion-ville with my way of looking at things, but... whatever. I don't feel like discussing it with anyone. I just wanted to let the original poster to know my two cents.**
  7. I doubt a 'Birth by Sleep Vol 2' would take that as its actual name. If a new KH game were to be announced I think it would have to be under an entirely unheard of title. *shrug*
  8. I've visited on my PSP before, but it was a while ago. It's interesting to know I'm not the only one.
  9. ......the separate RAM usage for each tab I find to be a good thing. It's more efficient and runs faster. My experience with Firefox was having one tab freeze and having to close the entire program. And, not only is it frozen, it just keeps sucking more and more RAM into a blackhole until the whole browser is shut down. If something goes wrong with a tab I'd rather just close one than the whole browser. My vote is on Chrome. Always. I just got my gf to convert to using Chrome after using Firefox for years. It doesn't lag down her old Windows nearly as much. I use Chrome on Windows 7 and previously on Vista. I just didn't like having to wait for Firefox to start up and even when it was open it ran slower than Chrome. Maybe I'll try Firefox again if it really isn't as slow as it definitely used to be. People can write these articles on speed tests all they like but in the end, they're just biased. And, really, people can like whatever browser they want. They should test them all out and find one that works with their computer the best.
  10. We never get concrete answers but it's always interesting (and scary) to see when people's early theories end up being spot on. We'll get a few small details that can leave us with facts. They may not be plot-relevant facts, but they're still important things... who is involved, even if not how, where things are taking place, even though we know not what's taking place there.
  11. There are some good songs in there but I think it really depends on what the video is about and which characters are involved... you know? Could you tell us, kind of, what 'sort' of video you're making?
  12. I loved this so much I downloaded it with keepvid months ago. I sped it up with one of my editing programs. o3o Maybe one day I'll actually include it in an AMV or something.
  13. I personally use the top bar rather than the bar on the left to find where I'm going. *shrug* I would look at people's status updates more often if they weren't so far down on the page. Then again, I think where they are is an okay spot. They're fun to look at... when people want to. I just don't always go down there every time I visit. It's nice knowing what's going on with other members and having the ability to comment and get to know them better. ^^
  14. Wow. Really? These people need to use the internet more. (Kind of the reverse of 'you need to get out more'.) I agree that it wasn't showing great sportsmanship, but, definitely not racist.
  15. How about The World Ends With You? ...but my true vote is none.
  16. I love that song! Great job with the effects. It's been a while since I've seen any RokuNami around so that was a welcome find.
  17. Fix it immediately. Whatever you do don't actually sit down in a different class you're not supposed to be because by that point they'll convince you they cannot, will not change it. And that's how I ended up in a math class that was way higher than my level because they thought that's where they should be put me. I spent every morning coming in before school to get help and I still only passed with a C, while I had A's in everything else. That was a first for me and it was horrible. I shouldn't have been in that class. (That's what I get for switching schools and them not understanding what level I was at before even after I talked to them.) It went a little something like this: somethingsomething theorem is what you'll be using to--- what's a theorem? o_o Ohgod, triangles? Whut? I'm so lost! This was me jumping from pre-Algebra to Algebra 2 with some kind of random geometry inserted into both. (The real problem was that at my old school, the math teacher sadly passed away at the beginning of the year, leaving us all a bit behind because it was a tiny school in the middle of nowhere and we couldn't just find a replacement. When I should have been learning Algebra 1, classes for that year in math were simply cancelled. I switched schools and they kindly just shoved me where they thought I belonged for my age and grade level.)
  18. That's good. I had a self-project I was testing out just to learn how to do something similar and I got about as far as the dressable avatars and then completely failed when it came to handling individual inventories and shop purchases. It was still enough for everyone to wear the same stuff, though. But that's what I get for using the old nulavatar system as a base. " It was only after that I went and grabbed myself a PHP manual, but by that point, my project had been on hiatus for a month and my free hosted forgot to tell me in their fine print they erase a site if you don't log in for 30 days. I've been too lazy to reload my backup copy. Art is wayyyyyy more my thing, or as they say 'One who does many things ends up doing none of them well?' My art has always been my pride and joy. Just let me know what I can do.
  19. I'd totally be interested in helping from an artistic slant, but my PHP (as that sort of thing would be necessary) skills are lacking, despite having bought a thick manual last year.
  20. You trollin'? Tell that to Square Enix. *laugh* The game director directs a movie, and the technology developed to render the cg environment originally developed for use in games used as a movie? What is the world coming to? It's coming to Sephiroth ramming his sword through Cloud in cg glory never before known to man, that's what. Oh wait, that happened. And that wasn't even the first time Square Enix's game developers made a movie. Remove the game play from most Square Enix games and you're already left with a movie. One long interactive movie. That's kind of how Dirge of Cerberus entirely played out. Toward the irony that this topic just had a poll made for another thread so it could be on the front page: The answer is not no, it's yes, if they do it right. It's hard for us to imagine Disney characters in fully polished CG, remembering only the KH2 ending but forgetting how epic Donald was in the opening, zapping those Heartless, or how much like a BAMF Mickey looked like in the secret ending. They are perfectly capable of making even Disney characters acceptable. Relax.
  21. Haha. Great stuff. You know, considering the original liked to drag things out like 9 episodes for every five minutes of time that actually passed... I honestly love the abridging work. Same amount of random funny things, some fighting, less random scenery, and by the time they'd be done powering up in the original, an abridged episode is already over. Perfection. (Not that I don't love and respect the original. Loved it the first time I saw it on tv as a kid, and I love the boxsets I've been grabbing whenever I get the chance.)
  22. =3 Hello! Enjoy your stay here. Things should be exciting come mid-September when more information surfaces about the newest unreleased Kingdom Hearts game (it's being featured at Tokyo Game Show, possibly even with a demo for people there to test out!), so be sure to come back to look for information.
  23. Poor bugger ended up the way he is, not just because he's made all of the darkness of Ven's heart, but also because MX is-- well okay, he's a bastard, there's just no lighter way of putting it. I'd like to see Vanitas stand up to him and go, "Umm. No. I think I want to go help the good guys now, at least they aren't abusive. Ciao."
  24. I do believe that the crux of the series falls on Mickey. Without Mickey, Donald and Goofy wouldn't have looked for and aided Sora. Without Mickey, Riku would have never been freed of Xehanort's Heartless. Without Mickey, the bad guys win. And yet, without Mickey, absolutely nothing changes - Terra, Ven and Aqua still fall to their fates. Maybe with a few different detours with Ventus to skip around Mickey's non-presence, but inevitably, the same outcome.
