This site uses a lot of .wmv files. File size vs amount of users who can play other formats: Why not .mp4 files?

...take forever.
For example, seven minutes takes an hour to process down to a ~50mb .wmv 720*480. The first 117 are split into eight chunks of about that length each. I'm looking at eight hours. I can upload to YouTube as each chunk is down every hour or so, though. I just don't know how interested people are at this point. Sora96 said not to worry, the site has its own means to get the files. -
