Each game's plot is independent, except for black/white/2, since they are sequels and prequels to each others. I stopped playing after Heartgold and Soulsilver, but Platinum and those games were really great. I'd definitely give them a shot.

i like shorts they're comfortable and easy to wear honestly though uh i don't remember any battle being outright unfair roaming pokémon suck but that's about it?? I know I usually didn't like rival battles because I was unprepared though -
