It really depends on how quickly you use Tornado. It literally took me 50 seconds - a minute and 30 seconds to beat Vanitas' Lingering Spirit. Maybe even less. If you're not doing it fast enough, he'll just go inside of his barrier, and attack. You have to lock-on while trying to use Tornado at the same time. Then you use your second Tornado as the first ends. You also have to use Tornado at the very start of the battle as well. With Aqua, the best way to get him is with Seeker Mine.

Hm. Well, you have to understand that this is before they were even given powers, and even before Xehanort appeared. To be quite frank, they were just normal individuals without anything special about them. Their one true purpose in this game was to foreshadow their "destiny" with Roxas, as well as show their human traits. The same really goes for the other Nobodies, except Braig -- seeing that his role in the game was to put Xehanort on the right path, while assisting Master Xehanort beforehand. However, there is a very large chance that you'll find out all what you desire in a future installment (perhaps KH III), as the story may have Lea and Isa as Complete Beings yet again -- offering us a chance to see how they became what they are, and perhaps a full explanation towards the large gap of events that happened post-BbS.

With that as evidence, supported with the fact that normal Nobodies can't use Keyblades, as well as the above statements [regarding Roxas having a heart, and Xemnas's lack of one] -- one can indeed assume that having a Keyblade requires just a heart. 3.) Xion is a Replica (yes, like Replica Riku) and so is her Keyblade. While Xion's Keyblade is a Replica, it functions exactly the same. more like 3rd post I meant my first post on the forum, lol.

(First post! Yay!) Well, you must consider a few things: 1.) Roxas is an anomaly of sorts; he houses the heart of another Keyblade wielder despite being a Nobody. If he didn't house that heart, he wouldn't be able to wield a Keyblade - despite having been a previous wielder. 2.) Xemnas has no heart. Despite formally being an entity mixed with two beings, and potentially two hearts, Xemnas had no heart. His heart remained with his heartless which we once knew as Ansem Seeker of Darkness. Even without memories, Roxas is still able to use his Keyblade.
