Overexplain a topic mentioned above you.
deathrebirthsenshi replied to CloakedSchemerX's topic in Random & Forum Games
Wiki, a wonderful web source full of random information. Perfect for students who might need random information as well as for the many fandoms on the internet; if you follow a particularly hard to follow fandom, it can either be a good thing for keeping stuff straight, or a bad thing, as it can often be riddled with false information. Use at your own risk. Next Topic: Nicki Minaj. -
Things You Can Blame on DDD Being Rushed
deathrebirthsenshi replied to hatok's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Well okay I think it was pretty obvious ever since Nomura mentioned that when you destroy a Nobody and its heartless they come back as a person that Lea would be coming back. Nearly everything surrounding him beyond CoM was fanservice (originally, he was supposed to die at the beginning of kh2, but, well, plot happened); he will always be a bit of a fanservice character. Even so, there are many interesting mechanics around Lea becoming a keyblade wielder, not the least of which being that he serves as the opposite of Saix (I'm assuming since he's an organization member he keeps the name Saix), who is now a darkness. I mean, we have all of these keyblade wielders coming forward because the world needs them, Xehanort is pretty much winning in the long run and is about 13 steps ahead of our heroes, who are just running around aimlessly half the time. I think we just need to wait and see how things unfold from here; we were introduced to many new things in DDD, and kh3 is supposed to be a conclusion, I'm assuming the way kh2 was (that ending was so perfect but no there had to be that stupid letter at the end ugh then BBS but whatever). There's definately some truth to that...but come one people, let's face it, would it be half as interesting otherwise? What Kingdom Hearts game so far has been completely predictable, and gone a predictable route that answers all mysteries instead of just creating more? How boring would DDD have been if it was just the totally predictable running around and saving everyone? I'm not saying Nomura should have gone this far, but honestly...the time travel by these rules is pretty tame; I mean, at least we know there will be no changing of the present because something different happened in the past. It's gathering the past to the present, not technically changing anything and having as little an impact as possible. It's just a convenient way of gathering his selves together. Also, there had to be some things in there to get us excited and anticipate the next game. We may have come into the game thinking that we'd suddenly have everyone gathered together and saved and Xehanort would totally be pushed against the ropes, no way he could win...when in reality, its just the opposite; Xehanort is the superior in power, and there are still people that need saving; it won't be as simple as we thought. This creates a lot of somethings that obviously have to be done in the next game...which, since its bringing the Xehanort Saga to conclusion, will most likely (hopefully) focus more on finally solving mysteries. I see now though that DDD sort of had to, just because it is a side game (not a numbered title) that's moving the plot towards kh3. And honestly, at this point, we should be used to Nomura's style. And like seriously. Honestly. What else would be the next thing to be added to Kingdom Hearts. I mean if you didn't see time travel eventually being used in some way, shape, or form in Kingdom Hearts from a mile away...it was practically the only mindscrew thing they haven't used. We've had clones, world travel, memory stuff...time travel was the next logical step. lol. Wow this was a long rant. -
Things You Can Blame on DDD Being Rushed
deathrebirthsenshi replied to hatok's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
They always introduce plot points suddennly and without hints (Oh, Xehanort is really an old man possessing another keyblade wielder. Also there are other keyblade wielders. And Xehanort is a keyblade wielder. Also the X-blade. Wat. And Aqua's boobs. No one was prepared for that.). And most of our information has always been from interviews. Keep in mind that we are viewing the game from the point of view of the heroes, who are themselves very confused and sort of just going through only half knowing what they are doing. It's been pretty apparent for a while now that Xehanort has had a scary amount of control over the events going on in the Kingdom Hearts universe, and now we partially know why. Having said that, the time travel explanations were a little shaky and the rules slightly unclear...I'm not sure Square knows how to properly handle time travel...but in the long run, it does sort of make sense. Sort of. There's the main point of how he was able to bring his different selves forward in time and why they wouldn't have to go back like YX would; and also, whether or not this is possible outside of the dream world, or if the dream world was just a convenient way for them to do it... And also, yeah, Myterious Figure should have been a pretty big hint that the next main game would probably include time travel. I even heard rumors around BBS time that Mickey was supposed to be time traveling... (back when we thought unversed were "unbirths") -
KHDays 1/10 how cool is Xion
deathrebirthsenshi replied to Sorual's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I can't give a number...but I do like Xion a lot. I feel like there could be even more potential in the future of how she functions if she were to ever become her own person...but either way, I thought her story was compelling, how she grew to have her own existence, and instead of being selfish and keeping it for herself, she decided to give it back, even if she would be lost and forgotten forever. Also, I like how she struggled for a long time to come to this answer; definately gave her some realism. I ship it. lol. -
I think you should try both, but Re:CoM is just easier to follow with fully done cutscenes. Drawbacks are that Re:CoM was pitifully easy for me no matter what mode it was on. The GBA version still gives me lots of difficulties...one less dimension does not make it easier T-T

KH2 Asking about Jiminy
deathrebirthsenshi replied to KinataKeyblade's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
The real plotholes of Kingdom Hearts... Actually, I'm pretty sure Jiminy is a nort, he's been reporting all of Sora's activities to Xehanort this whole time...he's never even actually there, he's just watching over Sora via time travel with YX. Unless he actually is YX, which actually makes a lot of sense if you don't think about it at all. Also you got to love how all through Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II, he never feels compelled to say anything or make any kind of comment on anything, but in Chain of Memories, he's suddenly a main character who opens his mouth every two seconds. Like dude, did Castle Oblivion make you forget that you're not supposed to talk, just sit there out of sight and write? Also can we talk about how lazy Sora is? Terra, Aqua, and Ven wrote their own journals. Heck, they were even psychic enough to know about characters that they'd never seen before. TAV forever. -

Stop being so hard on yourselves!
deathrebirthsenshi replied to Phill Devil's topic in General Discussion
I blame society I honestly have moments like your friend all the time...its like, I want to do well. And most of the time, I do. But lately, I've been doing very bad. And it just doesn't feel nice to be doing bad. Granted, I haven't really reached a level of overworking myself like it sounds your friend has--if anything, its probably the opposite for me but... Oh great. This is turning confessional... Sometimes people just don't realize the other options they have, or simply feel trapped and unable to explore other options, so they try to force themself into this option that they feel will, utlimately, lead them to greater success. Even if its becoming a little unhealthy for them. Because they just don't want to accept that perhaps this thing is beyond their reach, that perhaps they cannot do it, that perhaps they've taken on too much. So they automatically put the blame on theirselves, that they aren't working hard enough, because other people do it, so you must be able to too. I feel like this would be especially hard for law, which can get pretty competetive... I hope things turn out all right for your friend in the end. -
Something I hope they add
deathrebirthsenshi replied to TheKingdomkid's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I would really love that!^^ Like, just have stronger versions of bosses that level up with you that you can fight at any time... (like in kh2 final mix with Organization XIII). That could totally be a trophy thing. Are you listening Nomura. -
At first I was mad and just like "OMG HOW MUCH FANSERVICE ARE YOU GOING TO GIVE THIS MAN." But I got over it. I mean, really, things have been leading up to him being a main hero, and all of the main heroes pretty much need keyblades to take on Xehanort. It's gotten to that point of desperation for the heroes. Also, its not like Lea is just some random person; out of all the Nobodies, he's probably the one who grew most of a heart, and even as a Nobody, eventually came to follow that shadow of a heart rather than what he thinks would be the smartest option. His heart definitely worthy of a keyblade. Also, there will be interesting future battles between Isa, being a seeker of darkness, and Lea being a light. Friendship oppositions for the win. Plus think of it. If Sora, Riku, and Kairi are Sky, Land, and Sea--Wind, Earth, and Water--Axel is fire. The fourth element. OMG.

So are they going to remove Deep Jungle from this?
deathrebirthsenshi replied to Kinode's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
...I actually hated that, you're right. There was a lot of back and forth without them actually telling you where you should go next... -
I like!

Sora, we all know it will be Sora, assuming they don't put their keyblades together and destroy him in a blast of rainbows and friendship. I'm assuming everyone else will probably be taking out their own 'nort or something, and Sora will be taking out the ultimate 'nort. I mean, there's 13 members, there's plenty for everyone, ie Lea and Saix, Riku and Ansem, Roxas and Xemnas...I wonder if Xigbar will ever actually be strong.

There was also a tiny hint about the star gummi...Donald and Goofy look at the gummi and say "It's sure not the King's", implying that's how he got around. Not that I'm sure how important that was. But I loved Tarzan! It was a great world! And the whole Donald and Sora fighting and making up was cute. Also, Tarzan was the origin of the quote "Friends in our Hearts." Like, dude. Also, Tarzan's other quote: "Friends, same heart. Clayton, lose heart. No heart, no see friends. No heart, no friends." So many overarching Kingdom Hearts concpets in this little world. (Probably to make up for how little of the actual Tarzan plot they used...) -
Darth Vader knows what's up.
deathrebirthsenshi replied to King Riku's topic in Random & Forum Games
Oh. OH. That took me a second to realize...lol. How long before the plotline of Star Wars: Force Unleashed II makes its way into Kingdom Hearts, I mean the plotline of that and Days was eerily similar... -
I'm pretty sure the other organization members would be picked off before Ansem SoD...unless it would just be easier to use these members...they would be able to ignore the time traveling plan and just move forward as is. A lot less interesting.

Is Pixar in KH a good idea?
deathrebirthsenshi replied to Dracozombie's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Hard to say, for the reasons you mentioned; there are many pixar and disney films that are awesome, but just might not work in a Kingdom Hearts setting. I could see perhaps Toy Story...and perhaps Bug's Life, there's pretty clear "good-vs-evil" there...but like you said, for many worlds, for it to fit, there has to be more of the supernatural in it. Pixar films tend to be more real it doesn't make either of them better, just different. And honestly in movies like Finding Nemo what would the story be I mean you suddenly join Marlin in his search for his son Nemo that makes no sense. And Finding Nemo is like my favorite movie ever. What we really need to talk about is Miyazaki films...lol no. -
KH2 Kingdom Hearts II and KHII Final Mix
deathrebirthsenshi replied to Roxas Seeking Light's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Wait wait wait kh2 didn't originally have dodge roll? I don't remember, haven't played in forever and my disk is ruined...wow they were wrong. Funny how they've never made the mistake of taking it away again... -
Yes and no; you could definately argue that it's canon, seeing as they apparently go back to where they come from once they die/at the end of the conflict, but...it just never really clicks for me to apply any events that went on in Dissidia to the actual games. Dissidia is, quite literally in game and outside, an alternate universe where all of the characters come together; it feels sort of like what happens in Dissidia stays in Dissidia.

Biggs. And Wedge. Come from Star Wars. Well. That...is awesome! (Final Fantasy VI is so full of Star Wars references...lol. I know these two are recurring but still.) But yeah, probably will never cross over. Everyone would realize how close the plots are...
