It's really weird that Pokemon X and Y is the only Pokemon gen that didn't have any kind of squeal or third game

Yeah, it is, especially when the anime even had Pokemon XY & Z. But who really knows why they didn't give XY anything other than Hoenn remakes?
At least Alola doesn't have to share XY's fate and instead gets to be explored more, as I actually enjoyed my time playing the game, just they need to do something about the post game because it was very lackluster.
