  1. If I recall, Yen Sid told Sora and Riku that their exam was to unlock the seven keyholes of sleep and return safely to his tower. Sora did not accomplish the latter and Riku had to save him hence Yen Sids line: "However, one of you braved the realm of sleep again to unlock the final keyhole and save a friend."
  2. Fortunately that was before kh2 and we now (well, America) has Re:com. Anyways, I don't know about bbs having the best script, but I say this mostly because so much of the voice acting was so poorly done.
  3. As much as I would hate a KH for the wii, I almost want one so it can just outshine Epic Mickey.
  4. I am fairly sure I was underleveled at the time, but the one boss (or rather series of bosses) was the Spellican in Traverse Town. You could use a lot of flowmotion, but their were huge scaling problems in those fights. Ansem was pretty dang hard too.
  5. I think goldplanner said it perfectly: I personally don't dislike her in the game, but the reality is that days is not a self contained game and in the scheme of things, she contributes a miniscule amount aside from answering questions already answered. and also: I actually was making a serious theory on that with DDD info.
  6. Its a mystery, but one that's meant to be solved in kh3. If anyone remembers, back in the BBS Ultimania Nomura brought up something that might pertain to this question: Which is quite obvious, but does anyone else find it odd that he would quickly say something so trivial? I took it as a hint to pay attention to that scene. It may be that because when XH was defeated first, Xehanort's heart led it to return to that body, and not wait for the Xemnas to be defeated.
  7. In the first game its true that keyblades were much more special than what we might consider them to be now, but relative to the amount of new characters they really haven't upped the ratio all too much. Also... I believe you are referring to Axel's chakrams.
  8. You caught me. Just kidding. I wish somebody plagiarized me...
  9. I remember taking pills to help me concentrate too. There really is a lot to be fixed in education, and while this video doesn't outline the solutions, it quite thoroughly outlines the problems in need of solving and I think that's a great place to start.
  10. School starts tommorow, goodby kh13. I will miss this site. The weekend seems so far away...

  11. fix'd (not that it really matters, but still) It was actually the Castle of BBSV2 was actually in conception before KH3D but it ended up getting put aside anyway. The trailer also debuts Aqua's adventures in the realm of darkness so I wouldn't expect it to be anywhere else.
  12. On the contrary, there was plans, but then it was cancelled. Unless you meant to say that "there are no plans to make a BBS volume 2 now" He practically confirmed that BBSV2 (although referred to at the time as 'the mystery game') would be a multiscenario game. /reply I know all this complaining "where is BBSV2!" is driving so many of you guys mad, but its driving me mad that so many people don't know the first thing about what the game would be and ultimately the noncompromising backlash against these complaints. Or so it seems...
  13. If you don't count final mix versions I own all of them...
  14. Fans incredibly hyped up KH2 but as a result it felt underwhelming and ended up being heavily criticized by those same fans who were so looking forward to it. Now that so much time has passed it would make sense that the same sentiments aren't being expressed, but I was more curious than anything if anybody remembered this.
  15. KH2 was a good game, but the original still beats it. Also: Is it just me or did it seem like there was a lot more kh2 hate a couple years ago?
  16. When I clicked on this thread I though somebody went through the game's data and found a half completed world or not introduced characters. Oh well...
  17. Wasn't this thread from like two years ago... Anyway what are you trying to say Gambler with the keyblade?
  18. I think it goes without saying that this is the least ambitious title of the series. As a result of that the game is short, the story is iffy, and it is ultimately a port of a nearly equivalently good cell phone game. Is it a bad game? No. But is it the worst game? That's a maybe that deserves a good long qualifying explanation. First of all, we should recognize that the story, the game play, the music, or any other single feature does not define weather or not its a good game alone, and that if we have a disagreement its likely because we weight these features differently. Starting with the story: As far as the big picture goes, very little moves forward. By the end of the game nearly everything that will play a role in future games would have been elaborated on BBS or another previous game. Concerning the story within the game itself, its tight, well put together and thanks to the simple plot, lacks very many plot holes. Its something you can smile at and apreciate in the moment. As was square's intent it was a light game. Might I even describe the story as "retro" because of the simplistic story as opposed the latest entry Dream Drop Distance. Now what about the gameplay? Hardly original but is one of the most solid in the series. Should Days and CoM be praised for their ambition but lack of excecution? This is yet another question that only one's self can answer. I consider the above undisputable so will discuss the game play no further. And everything else... Graphics on the original cell phone for its screen size were acutally better. I bet you didn't know that. System Sectors and the Cards are the closest thing to multiplayer that this game gets. Even the original CoM had Mulitplayer! Music is so insignificant it wasn't even mentioned in the title of the OST including music from that game and only two others. All of these little things it lack compared to others could be atributed to the lack of ambition in this title, and this is where I think it fell to the bottom of my list. Ultimately if I consider the games originality and ambition into the mix, it ends up at the bottom of my list, but if I disregard that and say which of the side games I would most likely want to go back and play, this ends up being my favorite
  19. To be more specific: So the anchoring theory can still work, its just not Xehanort doing it.
  20. That actually made sense? You must be a genius at interpreting the impossible! And in all seriousness, thanks for the recognition.
  21. Kingdom Hearts is analogous to the seven princesses of heart, as the X-blade is analogous to the seven guardians of light and thirteen seekers of darkness. The X-blade split in such a way to accomadate for the new world order in which its seven fragments of light were to protect the seven princesses of heart. The difficult part is that knowing that the princesses of heart replaced Kingdom Hearts, then what might have the suggested darkness replace? I personally believe it might be a sort of shadow of kingdom hearts such as the realm of darkness. But this is all speculation.
  22. With all context issues aside, it is still a pretty bizzare move on his part. From a development perspective it was necessary for Xehanort to be introduced. Story wise alone, it was so Xehanort could make Ansem's life as miserable as possible. Evidently by these responses, the games didn't make it very clear that Xehanort would have a reason to hate Ansem so much, but it makes sense if you think about it a little. In fact it quite contradicts Xehanorts actions in the game. Had Xehanort let out some menacingly evil laugh after adopting Ansem's name it would sort of make sense, but in the case given you just need to go with it. (Unless there is another interpretation I'm missing.)
  23. This is where the time travel mechanic sort of has to be introduced in the context of dreams. If you ignore the fact that Sora and Riku's adventures were always taking place at different times (i.e. Sora is asleep meaning Riku is awake; Riku is asleep meaning Sora is awake) then the situation becomes easily enough to explain. The two Traverse Towns overlapped to an extent letting them exist alongside each other. Latter on in the the story Joshua provides an important hint to explaining what would eventually lead to our questioning of this. He explains that time travels differently for the two worlds meaning they are not parallel. So what really happened? Well, the part about the two Traverse Towns being connected we are already sure of. The situation can be interpreted in general that if Sora finished first, then time traveled faster in the world Riku was exploring so that they may both experience the same thing at the same time and vice versa. The realm of sleep was able to bend time in this way by allowing Sora's dream of Traverse Town to coexist with the original sleeping one, albeit the time traveling at different speeds. tldr: The realm of sleep allowed the two traverse towns to coexist and the speed of time flow for each of the worlds accounted for them being able to exist at the same time.
  24. This was never said. They are both from the realm between, but Traverse Town is the only one with that property. Anyways, why is everyone treating each of these like evidence? 1. Yes, but not evidence 2. Yes, but not evidence 3. Yes, and I personally find this to be the strongest evidence. 4. Once again, not really evidence, but it works with the theory. 5. Not sure if this is true, but it still doesn't seem to be evidence. @Gambler'sAprentice: Sorry to sorta repeat what you already said about conclusive evidence, everybody already said how interesting this was and I thought I would put up something a bit more original.
