KHRecoded How is Re:coded not a remake of the first?
keystrike replied to Sorual's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Please, you are too kind to that game. It has a story, its just a bad one. Anyway, they set the bar pretty low in this game for needing other games to comprehend it so your friend will be fine. -
Have you ever had a KH dream or nightmare?
keystrike replied to CloakedSchemerX's topic in Random & Forum Games
It would be pretty crazy if anyone didn't have a single kh related dream over the course of 3650 days, so yes, I have had kh dreams before. -
Just how bad is the worst video game you own?
keystrike replied to Lu Xun's topic in Poll of the Week
Lets see, Barbie Explorer, Barbie Super Sports, and Rocket Power: Team Rocket Rescue. Just thinking about them gives me an intense headache and eyestrain. -
KH2 Worried about "The Gathering"
keystrike replied to Kevin_Keyblade's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
This is pretty much it. The orientation of the keyblade they picked symbolized the realm where they would end up. One could also imagine that this was part of an early concept of the x-blade. The fact that the kingdom key d (under the name lightseeker) can be found and played with within the game's data; however, one can only speculate. Still, whatever they may have been thinking I doubt will be included into future games because we now know the x-blade... -
How long have you owned your current computer?
keystrike replied to Lu Xun's topic in Poll of the Week
Mine is fairly new. Its about two years. -
I've Got 140 Unfinished Games, but KHII Ain't One
keystrike replied to Jilly Shears's topic in General Discussion
The starving children in Africa think you should save your video game money to buy them food. -
Huh? You mean you completed the game and saved over the data you completed it with, or you had that finished game file already and you saved over it with what?

Ha ha, its all good. It would be odd to have a remaster of games at such separate ends of the timeline, but it sort of makes sense if you consider the fact that that Birth by Sleep's 'true ending' occurs after kh2. The novels also suggest that the whole reconnect thing meant to go back and play previous games, specifically kh2. Here's a link to the translation: http://sqex.info/2011/07/birth-by-sleep-vol-3-to-the-future-translation-final-chapter/ Not to mention that the credits clearly say "This leads to Kingdom Hearts III." I'm actually watching that part of the credits right now. Here comes Sora and Riku walking into the light... yep definitely a three.

I'm pretty sure he likes to do that to both Japan and the West. Now, "Nomura is a troll who likes mindfiretruckin with the West" would be an entirely legitimate reason to believe kh1.5 would not come to the west. Ever heard of kh2? Just kidding, but I'm kinda confused why you never really mentioned it.

'Had' is a past tense of the verb 'to have,' and that was said before he even conceived kh3d. The secret message in the NA/PAL versions would be a really inconsiderate move of square's part. No it hasn't been confirmed. Also, why just "a remaster of BBS [final mix]." A remaster of a single is game is just not worth the trouble.

KH3D DDD, basically a Chunk of the Plot from KH3?
keystrike replied to hatok's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Sorry, but wouldn't that make people more confused when the go to play kh3. Not playing a game usually makes the next installment more confusing you know. I feel that they are setting up kh3 to be far too grandiose a title. Had it been simply a revived Terra-Xehanort alongside some other plot complications, namely Sora rescuing those in torment with Ansems data, I think they could have made a full, perfectly well made game. Now between the Thirteen Dakrnesses and Seven Lights, and Time-travel (not to mention Maleficents new scheme with the data worlds) with none of the problems involving Aqua or Ven or Xion or Roxas or Terra etc. resolved, I fear that the plot will feel disproportionate. The only thing that KH3D managed to relieve from the plot of kh3d was discovering the data and even that is still a little iffy. Really imagine what kh3 will have to acomplish: -relatively frequent encounters with the new organization -as usual visiting the disney worlds, yet again with maleficents intervention -rescuing Aqua (and Ansem the Wise) and discovering how to wake people from sleep -the relation of the two chambers has to be explained. -rescuing Ven, and alongside this episode I would imagine rescuing everyone else -Everyone, and I mean everyone, goes to the Keyblade Graveyard for a final battle. -and from here a five hour+ sequence of boss fights and cutscenes ensue to finish of the Xehanort saga. Agh, the more I go on, the more I wish kh3d finished off more of these plot points. -
Comparison screens revealed for Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX
keystrike replied to AROD666's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
fix'd Anyways, aside from looking brighter and clearer, all of the scenes are cropped. -
That scene really does make my heart feel all warm and fuzzy, more than any other honestly.

Whose idea was it to make 2000 reps be "whore" anyway?
keystrike replied to Kinode's topic in Random & Forum Games
I can only imagine what 10,000 reps will be -
Riku was in Sora's dreams the whole time, but that isn't what implied that there are more sleeping worlds. Sora just so happened to travel to those seven, and Riku, naturally, followed. Also, a world needs to be unlocked only once. The sleeping keyholes that Riku unlocked were sort of redundant as far as the fate of those worlds go, but because they were still sleeping keyholes, he still acquired the power. You have to remember that Sora's dreams are not independent of the realm of sleep; his dreams mingle with the actual sleeping world's dreams so that the two worlds interact to some extent.

I'm nearly certain that the only mention this ever got was in a kh2 interview claiming that this was the inspiration for what kingdom hearts would look like in kh2. I wouldn't look too much into it.

Is KH 1.5 going to be released in the US?
keystrike replied to stsharp's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
You beat me to it. It would be a real lame move on square's part to tease the American/PAL regions and then not even release the game in those regions. -
"Kingdom Hearts for PC Browsers" announced
keystrike replied to DChiuch's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Wait so Mac users can't play it!? -
I was seven or so when I played my first kingdom hearts games. That was ten years ago now. It was an adventure like one I never experienced before. When I finally got to the final boss, my playstation broke and all I could think of was how the story would end. The days went on, but it was still a part of my life. When I finally got around to beating it I cried, not because the ending was so sad, but because I knew I would never experience the same joy and feeling of adventure like that for the rest of my life. To this day that has remained the case, but with each new installment I am reminded of that bittersweet moment.
-
As much as I doubt there being one, I'd actually like it if they made a final mix version. I don't see that as the problem at all, in fact, I see the extra story as its saving grace. Not everyone gets to see the new cut scenes on their TV, but anyone who cares enough to see the new cut scenes can easily see them on the internet. However, the fans who do care enough to have the full experience of the franchise will never get to experience to battle these new bosses. The lack of new cut scenes would also take out a major incentive to buy nearly the same game a second time and ultimately be even more of a cheap move on square's part. This is my opinion at least.

KH3D (Spoilers) Why haven't Ventus and Aqua aged?
keystrike replied to CJ Smith's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
I looked for it in the Directors Secret Report XIII, and was nearly confident it was there, so now in seeing all the other interviews, I think I'll conclude that it was mentioned somewhere along the line. Maybe other people remember reading it? -
KH3D (Spoilers) Why haven't Ventus and Aqua aged?
keystrike replied to CJ Smith's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
If you are referring to Ansem's model, no it wasn't confirmed, but if you were refering to time traveling slower, wait just one second. -
Time travel is as easy to explain as the square root of negative one. Anybody can understand that you just add an extra dimension to the number line to include these imaginary numbers. Does it make sense? Yes as far as definitions go, but any intuitive meaning would appear to be complete nonesense. Throwing together a couple definitions is not an eloquent or truly understandable way to introduce time travel. This is my biggest grippe on the game if anyone hasn't caught on already.

KH3D (Spoilers) Why haven't Ventus and Aqua aged?
keystrike replied to CJ Smith's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
*Looks at Ansem Sod from KH3D* Something tells me that's not the case... Anyways, Ventus didn't age because he didn't have a heart. Some of the characters in the organization who aged, namely Axel, Saix, and Ienzo could be atributed to their "burgeoning replacement" where as the sleeping ventus had no experiences on which foster a heart. As for why aqua didn't age at all over the course of ten plus years, its because time travels more slowly in the realm of darkness. Oddly enough this was confirmed after kh2 before we even knew about her fate, but that's a discussion for another day.
