  1. It really depends on how much time you spend doing random stuff; my longest KH2 savefile is probably 40ish hours just becouse of the synthesis quest, talking to every NPC, reading every article, getting ridiculously good scores in minigames, etc. But KH2 can be completed in 15-20 hours or less if you play on Easy and are pro.
  2. Desktops are better than laptops just because you can have a 3.3 GHz hexcore without it overheating or exploding. I also use a laptop, but for gaming and general use its just no compitition. Its like comparing a PS3 and TV with a PSVita; you can make a valid argument for the Vita but in the long run the console is always better.
  3. KH3D will probably add more fuel to the SoraXRiku fanbase; the two of them going on a magical journey together into the Sleeping Worlds their your wildest dreams can come true, being seperated but oh-so-close? Yup, KH3D will definately be a SoraRiku game. And Axel/Roxas. Unless Xion plays a significant role, which I don't think she should.
  4. I don't think there is any reason why you can't be a keyblade master and a nobody/heartless. Roxas was both. So, I'd be a nobody/keyblader just because you can do all the crazy keyblade stuff and have all the nobody benefits such as awesome-ness.
  5. 35 hours . . . nearly makes up for the NZ $350 pricetag of the 3DS
  6. 15. Characters age only when convenient and no characters can have romantic relationships with other characters
  7. Austin Jake Tantico's post about how KH2's ending was spoiled because all he could think about was Aqua made me think; what games will you replay in the build up to KH3D and why? Personally, I replayed KH1, CoM and 2 again when BBS released to stop myself from spoiling the plot too much (sure I spoiled a little but not totally) but for KH3D I'm not sure which games I will replay, if at all. The plot just seems more relevant than KHBBS did beforehand (even though I now know that to be wrong). KH games still have their value, but I don't know whether I could play through all of BBS again, or the other titles. The plots are still amazing, but every challenge/boss seems easy in the first 3 KH's. What was once mildly challenging (or difficult, for the first KH playthrough) is now mind-numbingly tedious even if you do crazy things like low-level playthroughs. So. What games will you guys replay, or what games are too impossible for you to handle playing right now, in the build up to KH3D?
  8. ^This. Sora is the key to everything so therefore he is also to key to KH and IS Kingdom Hearts. Sora will absorb all the Hearts from Kingdom Hearts and become the new god ( and capable of reshaping the world as is often said by MX/Xemnas) but will be destroyed when the hearts try and explode out of him. He will eventually be revived somehow and start again at Level 1; unable to do anything more complicated than bludgeoning people with his keyblade.
  9. Xaldin was annoying, because my game sometimes crashed halfway through the battle for some reason, so I had to sometimes restart entire games to get past this fight. Only boss where progress is literally impossible
  10. OK, I'm sorry, I was kinda being a jerk. But my point still stands that taking any one incident in KH history as an indication of how evil a character is, is wrong. And changing between Nobody/Human names can get really confusing as Isa may not of been evil but that doesn't neccesarily mean that Saix wasn't either. Its hard to call any Nobody evil (apart from Xemnas and Braig etc) as they all just acted on their desire to reclaim their hearts, not for power or glory. I find it hard to believe that Ienzo is evil even though he has an emo haircut and he was a scientist. He tried to destroy Riku, but who hasn't? Was Marluxia and Larxene better than Xemnas and the orignal members? We still don't know any of the minor characters motivations/allegiences apart from whether they sided with Xemnas.
  11. Game Informer once called Riku "Rikku". Madness!!! Mistakes always happen when it comes to KH and western media.
  12. Nomura has to change the system from KH 1 and 2. Keeping a 5-8 year old system for a game released in 2014? Madness. But I suppose Halo's been doing this for ten years, so anything can happen. But the magic system definately needs an overhall as well as general difficulty to accompany the older fan base. As long as it is semi-recognisable as classic KH, but with some new features such as the acrobatics of DDD (what's the point of the Mark of Mastery exam if they don't learn anything!!!) and the menu/ battle system of BBS. (AND MULTIPLAYER!!!)
  13. I still think the Big Bad Wolf should be the main disney villian.
  14. KH3D gameplay has been a long time coming; I fantacised about walk jumping in the corridor leading to district 3 since KH1 and now it seems like its gonna happen. Another of my ideas is a multiplayer component where you can choose your character model, alter amour/clothes and pallete swap/customise your own keyblade and keyblade stats. And also a character development system in single player that is more player focused, such as being able to select which stats to upgrade at level up and difficulty selecting through sliding scales (kinda like in coded but more choices such as scale for health orb drop rate, enemy damage, enemy health etc). Also, magic options from BBS and 3D. The physical combat should definately include Free Flow but it can be whatever, as long as the game remains difficult and enemies remain reactive to your moves.
  15. It will continue to have disney worlds just because the bad guys need worlds to terrorise and worlds for Sora to save. Disney worlds tell micro-stories and are important in creating an emotional arc in KH games, for me anyway (like in KH1 when Sora starts off in worlds like Wonderland where nothing much happens, then later goes to Neverland where he see's Peter Pan and Wendy and how important Kairi is to him). But as new original worlds are introduced the importance of Disney worlds will decrease unless the plot is linked with the worlds (like darkness consuming them, the 7 princesses etc).
  16. I don't think she will (be edited out) just on the basis that she knew Master Xehanort when he was human. In BBS she and MX met and we still don't know everything about what they did then, so she is neccesary to a point. If The World That Never Was features, she will need to be there because thats her castle. But she wouldn't feature as a bad guy, per se, just a cutscene charcter who explains some loose plot points. Kinda like in KH2.
  17. So Riku is evil, right? Because he succumbed to the Dark Side and betrayed Sora? If you think Axel is evil then you're missing the entire point behind KH which is the light and darkness in everyone and being "good" depends on our actions now, not our past actions. Axel redeemed himself in KH2 and acted "evilly" because of his love of Roxas, which isn't evil. Demyx is evil because he stole (which is against the Commandment against stealing) and all Organisation members fought against their neighbours (trying to stop Sora and co. or betraying the Organisation).
  18. January 19: Famitsu Weekly (x) Tetsuya Nomura (discusses Kingdom Hearts 3D) All the translations I use are from KH13 (as you are generally the most reliable), so if there are any mistakes it should be corrected on this website.
  19. In one Nomura interview the quote Maleficent tells Sora and co. about the enemies with “hearts of pure light” is shown. Is this just a reference to the good, Spirit Dream Eaters or some sort of new enemy? Because being entirely light seems bad to me, even though Ventus was technically good having a completely light heart would destroy human morality as we know it. I thought this New Enemy had something to do with Unknown/Young MX but I want to know how the wise memebers of KH13 interpret this. (Nomura never references or explains this quote in any of his subseuent interviews so this is definately an interesting topic.)
  20. Okay, so I watched the 10 minute video and it appears that Young Master Xehanort IS Unknown. I had seen Young Master Xehanort before but did not realise that he and Unknown were the same character. This revelation has disappointed me, as the idea of kh3d explaining the Keyblade Wars excited me but obviously it is to remain a mystery forever. Introducing a new character was the only way for Nomura to do this but obviously he does not care about explaining the KH backstory and at the end of KH3 he will simply say after Xehanort is defeated "Oh, here is a new bad guy who was never referenced before". Sad face.
  21. Yes I know that NIGHTMARES are the form darkness takes in the Dream World but explain Spirits and Nightmares; only my theory can explain the different types. Spirits= Good Participants of Keyblade Wars. Nightmares= Dark Participants of KW's. What happened to all the people after the Keyblade Wars? We know that after worlds are destroyed (as what happend to the KeybladeWars world) they either go into the dark realm or the dream realm. The original destruction caused the Dream World to be created and Unknown was the only Dream Eater to retain his human form which explains why he is so powerful in this realm and in general.
  22. EVERYONE MUST READ THE FOLLOWING AS I SWEAR ON Kingdom Hearts THAT IT IS AT LEAST A PLAUSIBLE THEORY Nomura said that KH3D would explain the mysteries of the series and this is the most obvious way of using the new enemies to do so. After the Keyblade War all participants were trapped in the Dream Realm and eventually they lost their physical form in a similar way people lose their form after being exposed to the darkness for too long. Unknown could therefore be a participant in the Keyblade wars who somehow surived with his humanity (or human form) intact (in a similar way MX kept his human form), and Dream Eaters are the participants from the Keyblade War who have lost their humanity. The Spirits are the participants of light, and the Nightmares are the participants of darkness. Known "facts" about Unknown - Nomura said that wherever he goes people of the darkness show up - He can manipulate time and the Dream Worlds are similar to Merlin's gate, in that time has no meaning (this would be how he time travels through some unknown mechanic of the DW) - Malificent hints at enemies of light and KH is known for its ideas about unity of light/darkness in people, not about darkness being bad or light good, so this unity could explain how MX is revived as a being of complete light world screw up the worlds equilibrium. I am not sure about everything, but I see this as the most plausable theory because the light is the most obvious new enemy. Add your own thoughts and completely destroy my theory if you want but it seems solid.
  23. Nomura said somewhere that Malificient talks about enemies of light (or something) so I think that Unknown is a being whose heart is complete light; he is just as evil as people of darkness because the darkness in our souls is what gives us a moral compass. The universe compensates for his existence by reviving people of darkness such as Xemnas and Xehanort. We still dont know about the true nature of the Dream Worlds (Dream Realm?) so Unknown could be born of an essence we do not know about.
