i think your right cuz Ansem attacked Destiny islands and riku opened the door to darkness and that took away kairis heart and both Xemnas and Ansem tried to pin riku and sora against one another

i dont think theyre trying to fool sora i think they just act that way cuz thats the closest they can get to being human they dont have hearts but they remember what it was like to have them -
