I can see the connection you are making. A lot of games and animes and mangas have mythological references, whether them being from Japanese or Greek mythology. I would have expected Nomura to make some connection to them somewhere in the series. Thanks for pointing this connection out.

I was looking for BBS cutscenes the day BBS came out, and I googled "BBS Cutscenes" lol. There was a discussion on here and I just joined the site.

Can you explain what you are trying to say?

KHBbS Last Episode (SPOILER WARNING)
Space Cowboy replied to Space Cowboy's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
That actually makes sense. Their keyblades did come flying out of nowhere, they had no physical guidance. It could have been their hearts, or it could be the power of their charms that they each got. -
KH2 *BBS Spoilers* Ansem the Wise
Space Cowboy replied to heartless101's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Plus it probably took Ansem the Wise time to get where he was in the BBS Secret ending. I imagine he didn't just appear right at the Dark Meridian. -
KHRecoded WHO WANTS CODED TO BE RELEASED OUT SIDE OF JAPAN
Space Cowboy replied to VENROXAS's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Coded kinda sucks, the gameplay atleast. If it came to the U.S. I would just get it for the story. -
KH2 The thing I HATE most about this game is........
Space Cowboy replied to Kairi-loves-Sushi's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
THOSE DAMN DANCERS, I HATE THOSE DAMN DANCERS. Sorry, flashback T_T -
Plus I don't think Nomura wants to make Kairi a "fighter". She seems to be just like Namine, in the background but essential at the same time. There probably won't be need for her to actually fight until Sora and co. look for Aqua, Terra and Ven.
-
The thing about Kairi is that she didn't even have a Keyblade until Riku gave her that one in the World That Never Was. She really didn't do anything but go to school and forget about Sora everyday lol. Then again, we don't know EXACTLY what happened with her after KH, so it would be interesting in that aspect.
-
well, in a general sense, riku has been a central character during com, so probably not, but that is a good theory I am saying that he has been a central character throughout the series, and they might make a game that takes place during his absence between CoM and Days.
-
Ok so I was reading the Directors Secret Report XIII, and Nomura said the period of Riku's absence is one of the four untold stories. The other three untold stories that were eventually told are the period of the Kings absence (KH Coded), Xehanorts past (BBS), and Roxas's time with the Org. (KH Days). I was thinking in the next upcoming game (whichever one it is), the one that Nomura said that the main character will be someone that has been a central character, but not main. So I thought, it has to be Riku. What do you guys think about this?

Text Kingdom Hearts: The Corruption of Light
Space Cowboy replied to Space Cowboy's topic in Creative Media
Part 1 "All I see is darkness" Sora and co. are on Destiny Island having a good time. Master Eraqus appears and tells Sora and Riku that he wants to train them to be Keyblade Masters. Sora and Riku are excited, but Kairi looks sad. Sora turns to Kairi and says, "Don't worry Kairi, we'll be back soon." Master Eraqus cuts in and says, "The training takes one year." Sora and Riku still want to be trained, so they say their goodbyes and head off to the Land of Departure. Kairi feels a massive headache and sits on the Paupu fruit tree branch, but passes out. A cloaked figure emerges from her body. The figure turns and looks down at Kairi, who is very pale. "So I really do look like you..." Before they make it to the Land of Departure, Master Eraqus takes Sora and Riku to Disney Castle. Mickey is happy to see all three of them, but has something for Sora. "Sora..now that you are 18..I want to give you a keyblade. A keyblade that belonged to your father." Sora is surprised at this. "My..my dad?!". "Yes. Your father was a keyblade master 15 years ago, but he disappeared one day. His keyblade was left at Yen Sid's Tower. It is the Keyblade of the Door to Nothingness. Use it well." Mickey hands Sora a Kingdom Key with a gray blade and a white hilt. Riku's face twitches at Mickey's speech to Sora. Sora and Riku are now in the Land of Departure. Master Eraqus says, "Today, only one of you will hold the right to be trained to be a Keyblade Master. You two must duel to see who will hold this right." Sora looks at Riku and smiles. "You ready?". Riku looks at Sora with a cold glare. Sora thought he saw a flick of gold, but he ignored it. Riku then brings out his Keyblade and says, "Bring it." At first Sora and Riku are fighting on an even level, but suddenly Riku overpowers Sora and knocks him to the ground. Sora looks up and says, "Riku?". Riku holds his keyblade up high and prepares to strike Sora with it. Sora holds his left hand out for protection as Riku strikes down. *cling* The strike is blocked by Sora's father's keyblade. Sora then overpowers Riku with his newfound duel-wielding skill. Master Eraqus says "Sora, you have won." Riku becomes very angry and runs out of the castle. "I don't know what his problem is today." Riku is sitting outside the castle, fuming. "I'm better than him, I'm better!" All of a sudden he is shrouded in a cloud of darkness, and passes out. Riku wakes up without any memory of what had happen previously. "What am I doing out here?". A man in a Organization robe walks up to him. Riku looks up at him and is shocked. "Who are you?". Riku is grabbed by a massive Heartless hand. "No, it can't be!" Another figure in a black cloak is standing outside of Memory Skyscraper, looking up at Kingdom Hearts. "Roxas.....". A man walks up to the cloaked person. "I can help you get what you want." The man was Master Kirai. -
Text Sora's Darkness *Contains Spoilers
Space Cowboy replied to heartless101's topic in Creative Media
nice story -
I completely agree, it just wouldn't make sense to announce KH3 when he hasn't even talked about the two games that come before it.
-
I like the Crisis Core one also

This is just a teaser on the next part of the series A flash to Destiny Island. Kairi is sleep on the branch of the paupu tree. She is sleeping very oddly. A shadowy figure is shown running away from her. Sora is now 18 and is being trained by becoming a keyblade master by Eraqus himself. Sora has gained an ability to wield two keyblades without using a form, like Roxas. He wields the Kingdom Key and a Kingdom Key that has a gray blade and a white hilt. Riku is sitting down outside of Eraqus' castle. He appears confused, but then in complete shock as a person in an Organization coat appears in front of him. "Who are you?" Riku says. Riku is grabbed by a huge, Heartless arm. Namine' is in the Realm of Nothingness pleading to someone. "Please, do not continue this. You need to go back to Sora or he will die." The person said, "I want Roxas." Lea is shown eating sea salt ice cream on the clock tower. He appears sad. The Bond of Flame keyblade is setting right next to him. Master Kirai is shown at the door of light. He is just laughing manically. A strange man with brown hair is with Ven. The man has golden eyes. "Ventus..darkness will help be more powerful than Aqua or Terra." "I don't want to be stronger!" "You almost are the most powerful being in the universe at this moment. Let me make you THEE strongest." "Let the light corrupt in your heart."

lmao well most of the KH games are long but at least exciting plot wise and gameplay wise. I guess Red Steel 2s missions aren't THAT long, they are just a draaaaaaaaag.

What's ur favorite Kingdom Hearts game
Space Cowboy replied to Emo/Yami's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
To me Kingdom Hearts II was the most epic because it introduced most of the stuff for the rest of the series. i.e., Roxas, Xehanort, the rest of Org. XIII, DiZ's identity, restoration of Riku.. So many things to add on to that list Plus the music was epic too -
Someone apparently didn't play Spyro-A new beginning. Gah I hate Spyro :@ Something about purple dragons piss me off... The first time I played Spyro I broke my PS1 because I couldn't get past the 5th boss.

In a quick flash, all of the keyblades that were embedded in the ground rose. Each of the Lifeless picked one up, and Sora's Lifeless picked up the Kingdom Key. As soon as they touched the keyblades they became black. Master Eraqus said, "How are you able to wield a keyblade without a strong heart?!" Sora's Lifeless looked at him and said, "We have no hearts at all." And the Lifeless charged at the gold robed keyblade masters. Master Eraqus faced off against Sora's Lifeless. Sora's Lifeless taunts how he is stronger than Eraqus. He knocks Eraqus keyblade out of his hand and as soon as he was about to deliver the final blow, his keyblade falls out of his hands and flies behind him. Sora's Lifeless turns around to see Sora wielding his Kingdom Key in one hand and with a golden Star Fragment in the other. "It's time you came back to where you came from!" Sora's Lifeless smiles when he sees Sora. "So my full being, we finally meet." All of a sudden, Sora's Lifeless takes on the form of Xehanort. Sora is surprised at first, but then realizes his Lifeless is playing tricks. "You can't fool me!". Sora charges at his Lifeless. Sora's Lifeless tells his minions to attack Sora, but they were all defeated in battle. Sora holds up his keyblade and says, "You will never hurt another soul again!". He uses his keyblade to take the soul from his Lifeless back to himself. The gold-robed keyblade masters rejoice at their victory. The scene fades away, and then the victory looks like it is drawn on a piece of paper with crayons. A black haired Namine' grins at this photo. Kingdom Hearts: The Corruption of Light Coming in July

The manga is ok, but the game is an experience you can't compare to reading a book. You actually see the scenery and the stuff going on the game, you hear the music playing, you hear the people talking. You get the full essence of it. Now I like reading too, but the game is just better.
-
that is very true, but i do really like khday's intro music It's the same as the KH2 intro.

I was doing some research on the next book or series, and I found on Wikipedia that Rick Riordan said that the next series will be called Heroes of Olympus. The series will have some of the old characters, but they will not be the main characters. The first book is called The Lost Hero.
