Hey everyone, so something occurred to me while I was watching the new Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer. The game looks pretty much finished in terms of game play and story cut scenes. Sure, they might want to polish it up and make it look even better before the time of release, but I think everything is pretty much set in stone. This made me wonder why Kingdom Hearts 3 was pushed back to January? The answer: Localization. The localization process, the process of translating and voice recording in a language other than Japanese can take some time, and is one of the last things a video game company does. For example, let's take a look at Persona 5. Persona 5 had already been released in Japan when Atlus announced another delay for the English version of the game, this was because of localization. Even Nomura himself said in interviews during TGS that they are reprogramming the mouth movements of the characters to fit the English script. And with the absence of English dialogue from the TGS trailer, this only furthers my assumptions. What do you guys think? Would you rather have an earlier version of the game with Japanese dialogue and English subtitles? Or are you glad the game was pushed back for an almost simultaneous release for the English dubbing to be completed?

I also went to the one in New York and the one in Chicago this year! I purchased the tickets as soon as they became available for pre-sale, which I believe were a year in advance.

I have been to the concert twice and I received my tickets a couple of months in advance. You could try contacting the venue itself. Don't worry, in Germany most of the population speaks English, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Hey everyone! I just finished watching the first episode of season 3 for Attack on Titan. I felt the season started off super well! I was afraid the episode would feel rushed with all of the content they were trying to show, but it didn't feel rushed at all. We even got to see more Levi and how he commands, we also got to see him get mad at the sight of Kenny. (Which was in the trailer, so not a spoiler.) But I was interested in your thoughts?

Do you remember when you had to restart your PS2 at the end of KH1 & KH2 because there was no other way to get back to the title screen?

I remember being a confused little eleven year old, not wanting to lose my progress and then gave in lol

We have to keep in mind that she wrote this song specifically for Kingdom Hearts 3, so she definitely knows what she's doing. The other two songs were already written and integrated into the series, so this song has more meaning for me.

Looks like his dream came true after all

I even love how Jack's character has changed from meeting Sora. Jack takes Sora under his wing, and wants to teach him how to be a true pirate. lol -

So I'm a huge Kingdom Hearts fan, obviously. However, I'm worried that the game will turn out like Final Fantasy XV. I don't want the game to come out uncompleted and have sections of the worlds missing. The only reason I'm worried is because Square Enix stated in their last financial meeting, they would like to move to a system where they release the base game, and add to it in the coming months/years after the game is released. There's nothing wrong with adding DLC to games after it comes out, but if you leave out crucial game-play mechanics, important story segments, and release a "Royal Edition" a year after the base game, then I think you're screwing over your customers who bought the game on day one. What do you all think? Are you worried KH3 might end up like FFXV?

Hello everyone, I was playing through Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix the other day when I came across this cut-scene: As I was watching, I was wondering if Xigbar is actually a traitor? You see, at this point in the story, we aren't sure why Xigbar is helping Xeahnort. Did Xeahnort promise him something? Based on this cut-scene, it looks as if Xigbar wanted Zexion to know more about Xemnas's plans. And, if you remember in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, the only reason Axel killed Zexion was because Saix had asked him to, not because Zexion was part of Marluxia's plan. Axel's final words to Zexion were: "You just found out way too much." Even though it's already established in Dream Drop Distance that Xigbar is "already half Xeahnort", it makes me wonder why he hasn't given in to Xeahnort's power fully yet? Could Xigbar be trying to undermine Xeahnort's plan in some way? At this point, we aren't sure why he's helping Xeahnort, but this cut-scene begs the question as to why Xigbar would go to such lengths to give Zexion this information? What are your thoughts?

Kotaku recently wrote a thought provoking article about Kingdom Hearts 2 and male intimacy. While I personally believe that Kairi and Sora have somewhat of a romantic relationship, her thoughts towards Sora and Riku were something I had never thought about before. What are your thoughts? Hey Guys, so I'm just gonna post a quick review for those of you thinking about picking up 1.5 + 2.5: The Good 1.) 60fps is amazing, the combat feels more fluid and fast paced. 2.) While not much has changed with the graphics, there are some noticable differences in terms of character designs with facial features (especially in KH1 with "flat face".) and the drawings of characters that represent their health bars are now rendered in a higher quality. 3.) There are hardly any load times. You feel like you go from one room to the next in an instant, making a greater improvement for speed runners. The Bad 1.) While 60fps is great, it was not implimented correctly in certain parts. Some enemy attacks are still rendered in 30fps (the shadows in KH2 are especially noticeable), so they look much slower than Sora. Also, some enemy movements have been sped up, like Sephiroth in KH1. It just looks strange, and hopefully Square puts in a patch to fix these issues. 2.) The same problems we had in 2.5 with combat are still there. Making it almost impossible to beat the game on level 1 for KH2FM players in that final battle with Xemnas. Verdict: If you've played 1.5 and 2.5 already, the only thing this game does is render these games in 60fps. While that may seem appealing, I don't think it's necessarily worth another purchase if you already own these games. If anything, wait for a price drop, and wait for a patch that hopefully will fix these new problems that have come up. (I reviewed the Japanese version of the game on a PS4 Pro)

I love Nier so much!

I'm always weary about streaming services, but since I don't watch that much anime, I usually just end up buying the physical copies of the shows I watch. I agree with you, it's a shame that people watch it illegally and the creators don't get anything.

Birth by Sleep's original plot
kingdomlanelover replied to kingdomheartsfan1993's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
From what I can gather from interviews, the game was supposed to center around Sora. Sora was apparently supposed to go back in time, and help Terra, Aqua, and Ventus in their adventure. I'm glad they ended up scrapping this idea. As for the enemies, it was always supposed to be the unversed. -
Why do the heartless enter the Coliseum tournaments? Are they like: "Hey guys, screw finding hearts, let's just fight in some battles for a while and win some trophies!"

Hey everyone, so I'm pretty good at not spoiling myself before a game comes out. However, since what was said at the concert won't be in 2.8, should I go ahead and read it now, or what until after the game comes out?

Hey everyone, so I'm a Resident Advisor at my college, and I have to make door decorations for each of my residents. Door decorations are usually only the size of 1 sheet of paper. I want to do something special since Final Fantasy XV is releasing this year, do you guys have any cool idea's?

Background: Famitsu is a famous gaming magazine in Japan. (Think of it like America's Game Informer.) Famitsu holds an event every couple of months or so on their website where they ask their fans what their most anticipated game is. The only games that can apply are those that have been officially announced by their respective companies. Since Kingdom Hearts 3's announcement, the game has held a pretty steady spot in the top 5, but has recently been getting lower and lower in the ranks, sometimes barely making the top 10 or top 15. Right after this year's E3, the game plummeted in the ranks even more, Prompting many to wonder if fans are getting upset with the lack of Kingdom Hearts 3 news. What do you all think? Do you believe that Japanese fans are slowly losing interest in the game? Here's a detailed record of various Famitsu lists: http://nintendoeverything.com/tag/famitsus-most-wanted/
