  1. I feel a sense of deja vu. Almost as though I said to skip the banner because it's non-mercy and the medal can't be upgraded to Supernova+. Weird. Oh wait, that was for the Aqua banner! Silly me! (<- yes, this is sarcasm) Well then, guess I should comment on this one, too: SKIP IT. Not much to say on the rest. It's all standard VIP stuff, and it's also a repeat of last week. I've said my piece, so I guess I'll just wait for some event or story news.
  2. I'm not sure if you've had the chance to look at the video footage from KHX (Chi, the browser game) yet, but all of the endgame fighting (the Keyblade War) takes place in what we now know as the Keyblade Graveyard, just without all the abandoned Keyblades sticking out of the ground as they eventually would. So the location of the Keyblade Graveyard already existed, but it wouldn't be called a graveyard until after the war. Before the war (battlefield): After the war (graveyard):
  3. As I understand it, the JP browser game, Chi [X] took place in the real world and ended with the first Keyblade War. Your character almost died but was taken into the data version of the game that had been created by (or discovered by, who knows) the new Union Leaders (Ephemer, Skuld, etc.). This is where KHUX starts and where we are currently. There's no real guarantee just yet, but it seems like the Keyblade Graveyard is located in the place where Daybreak Town used to be (or it could be a ways away from Daybreak Town: again, not clear just yet). For the most part, Daybreak Town in the real world seems to be gone. This would explain why the new Union Leaders are meeting in the data world clock tower. Meeting in the real world that one time was probably just for show on the game designers part (probably had a greater narrative effect than having them meet in the data world as though nothing had happened). While parallel worlds could in fact be a thing, we still don't know enough about them just yet. That information will probably come into play as the game progresses, though. You're correct in saying that all of this is happening in a data world. Whether Brain creates a 2nd data world is up in the air, but we seem to be able to ID him as the "virus" that Luxu referred to in the KH3 Secret Reports (he even called himself a virus). Right now, all we know is that the real world is in ruins and needs to be revitalized by "the light in the hearts of children" or something like that. Everyone currently resides in a data version of the world that existed before the Keyblade War which is now developing new scenarios (since the war didn't happen in this simulation). Brain plans to do something to this world and has taken on the role of a virus. Finally, something is going to happen that ends up sending Ven, Lauriam, Elrena, Demyx's Somebody, and Luxord's Somebody (and probably Skuld) into the future with no memory of their pasts (I'm assuming this). Could have something to with world lines, could not. All we can do now is wait and speculate.
  4. ^VocaloidLover is right: if you don't already have at least 3 medals with DB5Max (or you at least have the skill medal and are waiting to put it onto an actual medal), then you should definitely get 1 or both of these boards. Heck, maybe even grab one even if you already have 3 DB5Max medals. These things are helpful. Additionally, TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF THIS STORAGE SALE!! These things are extremely rare, with this one being the 3rd one we've ever gotten in the global version. Don't wait too long and be forced to spend 100 jewels for a measly 5 storage spaces. I wouldn't recommend doing any last-minute pulls from the permanent deals that are leaving. They've been outdated for a while now. I would, however, advise you to spend any extra bronze/silver/gold tickets that you have. Who knows? Maybe you'll get a T8 Blue Fairy medal! As for Kefka, well... He's free, and he's technically farmable, so... Honestly, the medal itself isn't much to look at, but it could help you sometime, so it's worth trying to get at least 1 copy. You'll need to be the host/MVP in order to get a chance at getting a 6* version, and all boss parts need to be destroyed for a chance at getting the 7* version. If you aren't able to get your raid boss to lv. 99, try working with your party members. As long as you participate in the battle, you'll get rewards! The "hard mode" versions of the Weaponmaster and Mysterious Sir (aka Gilgamesh and Kefka) are pretty challenging, so don't bite off more than you can chew (and don't spend jewels). The titles aren't really that much to aim for, but it would be good to try and beat Kefka in 5 turns since the reward is the Warrior of Light (WoL) medal. It used to be a high score challenge reward, and it's not exactly great these days, but it's an event medal, so it's nice to have for completion's sake. The Organization event is nice if you missed the items or weren't playing at that time. The quests themselves are pretty easy, too. You'll get the hair from the first quest each day, and you'll get the title (No. I, No. II, etc.) and a copy of the B version of that Organization member from the 2nd quest (Xemnas B, Xigbar B, etc.). Like the WoL medal, these guys are pretty outdated, but unlike the WoL medal, they're a lot easier to get. (Note: these are not the same as the Organization+ medals. There'll be a chance to earn those later this month, probably.) The high score challenge, which hasn't been seen since November 2018, is back and "revamped", which apparently means it's even worse than before. While all enemies have been adjusted to account for changes in the game's meta (Supernova medals, etc.), the rewards still need some work. Naturally, those who need jewels the most need to work the hardest while those who need jewels the least get plenty of them for little effort. That being said, use everything you have, but don't pull just for a chance at jewels. Side note: even the other rewards are terrible. The point rewards are literally 1 Chip, 1 Magic Mirror, and 1 Broom. The non-jewel ranking rewards are Moon Gems (good considering how rare they are), Power Gems, and low-tier skill medals (AB3Max for the lowest ranks, AB5Max and AB6Max for the top ranks). Considering that you can get better skills guaranteed in most banners these days, this is pretty insulting. So, to recap: jewels good, but don't chase; Moon and Power Gems also good, but don't chase, and everything else is terrible. Finally, the new banner. Axel is a nice looking copy medal and would go great on many Keyblade slots (like Fairy Stars' 5th slot). His 5-gauge cost means that an SP skill is almost a necessity, though you have a great opportunity to get one from the new avatar boards mentioned earlier. That being said, he's a non-mercy medal, so watch your jewels if you choose to pull for him. (Also, can we talk about how wrong it is to give the VIP banner a free pull but not the F2P banner? The return of VIP banners continues to be a stupid decision on SENA's part.)
  5. You know, they also said a new world would be coming last year. ? EDIT: This page hadn't updated with the previous 2 comments when I posted.
  6. Despite the updates, I don't recommend pulling for these guys again. They're good medal, yes, but they're non-mercy unless you buy VIP, and even then you'll likely have to spend 30,000 jewels just to get them.
  7. I'm a little underwhelmed, but at least we can get free jewels out of this collaboration. Recommendations: don't buy the Marie avatar boards, don't waste jewels on the Upright/Reverse challenge, and maybe don't spend too much on this banner (it's not even falling price, for crying out loud).
  8. Not much to talk about this week. The copy banner seems good at first, but once you look at the rates, you'll know to stay away from it.
  9. While the Cinderella medals might be extremely outdated at this point, it's still nice to know that they haven't been completely forgotten. The ideal trait here is going to be Extra Attack, so aim for that if possible. (You'll need an SP trait for best results, though. But don't use an Atk Boost 8 Max + SP1, for example: that's just a waste of a good skill.) Introducing the new "if you don't have it, you might as well quit PVP" medal! And luckily for you, it's a falling price deal! With no mercy! And low drop rates! Seriously though, the medal is solid but a lot of players are running low on jewels after all the recent banners and boards. If you can't afford to pull, then don't bother trying. If you can afford to pull, maybe only pull a couple of times. Odds are this Sora isn't going to be the only medal that does this, so missing it now doesn't mean you'll be ruined in PVP forever.
  10. The medal is nice and the animation is amazing, but the medal itself isn't quite as good. I mean, it's alright, but there are better medals out there. Someone said that this one is like a poor man's KH3 Vanitas, and they're kind of right. Anyway, I believe this can be passed, especially since we're close to the time we should be getting another Org. reprint event. As for the event, well... Have fun! (sarcasm) You have to beat every quest in 2 turns in order to get the jewels, so it might start to become impossible for some players to get the jewels after a while. As with other Org. events, remember that you don't need to spend jewels to beat it, as that kind of defeats the purpose of earning jewels for beating it.
  11. 2 pieces of advice. First of all, don't pull on this Aqua banner. It's not mercy, so it's not worth it. Maaaaaaaaybe pull once if you want to reroll a trait on the Aqua you already have, but otherwise just skip it. (Same advice applies to the inevitable Terra and Ven reprint banners.) Second, don't worry too much about the pet gear quest. You can't beat the quest with 1 medal? Relax, it's just event coins. They've proven that these coins will be available a lot this month, so there'll be plenty of other times to get them.
  12. Yes, this was basically confirmed to be a datascape. It's why Maleficent couldn't change her fate when she traveled back in time (and somehow wound up in the datascape), and it explains why worlds like Enchanted Dominion are appearing despite not being a part of KHX. (From a mostly gameplay perspective, it also explains the data Organization members, and it explains PVP from a partially gameplay/partially story perspective.)
  13. These are for the global version. For whatever reason, Square decided that it wasn't important enough to bridge the 6 month story gap between JP and global before KH3. Though maybe doing 2 story updates this month is their way of starting. If you want, you can check out Everglow's page on YouTube, as he's been translating the latest story quests in JP. Now, onto the analysis! Wooooooow, how nice of them to cut the price of refilling our AP. Suuuuuuuuch a good deal. (This is sarcasm: don't waste any jewels on refilling AP, whether it's 100 or 50.) The event is nice, if not a bit easy for a large chunk of players at this point. Still, it gets you 100 event coins for each quest, for a total of 1500 coins, so it's worth completing. (Note that you can't farm these quests: you'll only get the 100 coins once.) DB5Max is finally here, and that means that these boards are a must for PVP. Forget about the Rose and Rogue boards, and go straight to the Baron/Baroness boards. And remember, pick a medal that you use often as the recipient of the skill (and also make sure it's a buffer, not an attacking medal).
  14. Are you still playing this game? KH3 is already out! Well, anyway... This Riku event is nice, but it's meant to be limited. It costs 50 AP each time you run the quest, so you can only do about 3-4 runs at a time (assuming you wait a few minutes for the remaining 2 AP to regenerate). It should be noted that the skill medals and the Riku+Moogle medals can only be dropped by the Adventurer, and only at a low rate. On top of that, the Adventurer is a rare spawn. As a result, it's better to equip all of your rare enemy perks: if you make him show up, you at least have a chance of getting something, but you have a 0% chance if he doesn't show up. If you can't do a full rare enemy setup, fill in the gaps with item drop perks for the best results. (There is a strategy people are using where they spend 100 jewels to refill their AP and run the quest again. You're welcome to do this, but watch your jewel count. You'll only get 500 jewels per Riku+Moogle, so don't spend more than you'll earn.) This Riku board is great! Too bad there's only the one, though. Both skills are AB8Max, and the SP0 will be great for current medals! The DB6 is a great skill, too. If you didn't get one of the recent avatar boards, then this one is highly recommended. On the other hand, the Sora and Kairi boards are a little less appealing, though that's to be expected from returning avatar boards. If you don't have a DB4Max for your PVP setup, you might consider getting one of these boards. It's a weaker defensive boost, but it's better than not having any defensive boost. Now, stop reading this and get back to KH3! EDIT: DON'T spend jewels to refill your AP! People were doing that at the start before realizing that the risk vs. reward wasn't worth it.
  15. So, they heard us complaining about the VIP mercy banners, and they decided to remove them! Yay! But they also removed any and all aspect of mercy as well. That's... not what people wanted. As such, I don't recommend pulling on this banner, at least not right away. It's a money sink (or jewel sink, in this case) with no guaranteed reward, and we might get something better soon. Plus, the rates are probably terrible (though I'll have to check once they're available). Also, what's up with this weak VIP deal? Tidus is pretty meh overall, and KH3 Sora hasn't been relevant in months! Heck, even Riku is becoming useless in the grand scheme of things (which is even worse since he's so recent in comparison).
  16. I know it says this in the main post, but I want to highlight it so people know for sure: only the KH3 medals from this banner can be upgraded with the new Meow Wow medals (currently). So no, you can't give your Boss Xemnas a Supernova ability, and you can't upgrade your SN-Sephiroth's supernova either. The new medals are pretty nice, though the T7 ones are a little iffy. That being said, all of these new medals are basically better than any other medal you have right now. Specifically, once you have them at 7* and have given them/upgraded their Supernova. Doing so basically causes them to undergo an "awakening" and lets you upgrade them further. So a 7* medal that started at 8000 strength and got leveled up to 120 gets 13000 strength, and then granting it a Supernova allows the strength to be upgraded even further to 17000. That is why they're better. There are posts on Reddit explaining the numbers of it all, but I don't plan to go into it here. As for the banner, I would recommend waiting just a little to see what we get on Monday. Something to keep in mind about this banner is that you can't get regular medals from it. The only 6* and 7* medals you can get are the 18 new ones. The rest will be T2 and T3 trash. So no, you can't get an HD Vanitas, and no, you can't get an Ill. KH2 Kairi. All you can get are a guaranteed 2 new medals and most likely 8 trash medals. So be careful about that. The new boards aren't too bad, all things considered. The AB8Max+SP1 is nice, and the AB6Max+Lux++ is nice for raiders, but Second Chance is something almost all players have and don't need any more of. If raiding isn't your thing, you might instead opt for the previous avatar board which has an AB7Max+Lux+ (more attack, less lux bonus) and a DB6 (very good for PVP).
  17. The whole Gamestop fiasco is such nonsense! One of those affected, an artist who goes by Destiny-Islanders, said that the $25 coupon is online-only and only works if you spend $25 first. Like, that's technically worse than a gift card! They really need to change this and make it right for those affected.
  18. So, this is all a bit interesting. As others have mentioned, SENA decided that players using the Chasm to grind for lux instead of the actual raid boss was a problem, so they removed the Chasm quests instead of increasing the lux output of the raid boss. Or at least, that's what seems to have happened. Removing AP from story and material quests is going to be good for enticing new players to play the game, though it feels like they could have just as easily removed the AP system altogether instead. If you haven't caught up on Proud quests yet (like me), then this is a great time to work on those. Free jewels, free gems, and free keyblades.
  19. Oh, but it's fine because "it's not important to KH3". Even though 300 player names will be involved somehow. And Chirithy will show up. But yeah, "not important".
  20. Just to clear things up: the tweet was wrong and there is no 0 AP campaign. That being said, the guilt campaign is nice to see. A storage sale would be even nicer. Anyway, it's a new raid this week, but the format is the same as always. The avatar boards are nice, and slightly better than last week's boards (everyone has Second Chance at this point but fewer people have Def Boost 6). The skill perk is much worse, though. Hmm... And this looks like the last of the returning Supernova banners (aside from the odd ones like Kairi, Xion, Elsa, and the Wayfinder Trio), once again with a VIP-only mercy. Definitely pass on this one.
  21. T-POSE TO ASSERT DOMINANCE Also, I think you meant to say that Radiant Garden and Keyblade Graveyard were used as substitutes for Traverse Town, right?
  22. The limited gauge quests were pretty easy, though that's mostly because a lot of the more recent medals have been 4+ gauges. If you're worried about not having general attack buffs or general defense debuffs, I would recommend pulling from either the Beginner deal or the current copy medal banner. There's a chance that you'll get the T3 Beagle Boys medal (a very good chance, if we're being honest), and that is a backwards copy medal that costs 5 gauges. It'll result in you only getting +5 gauges when copying a Kairi or Xion buffer, but it's worth it to get the buffs. Really? We couldn't even get 6* Chips and Dales? Just 5* versions? (Not to mention it's just one of each...) The High Score banner might look good, but remember that these medals only come at 6*. That means that they're basically unusable for PVP, let alone for other events. And they're T8 medals, so it may take you some time before you can even make them worthwhile. In addition, they all have a fairly high gauge cost with no gauge restore feature, so gauge reduction skills are a necessity. Finally, even if you do have these medals already, you're essentially just buying a 1500 jewel trait medal. And if you end up getting Defense +2000, then you've just wasted 1500 jewels on a worthless trait. I recommend skipping this banner entirely.
