Any self respecting Kingdom Hearts fan, knows the longing for more. Tetsuya and the gang at Square Enix never fail to deliver that feeling of "this was even better than the last one" but unfortunately, some people feel as though the wait between games is unbearable. What can we do to satisfy our craving for more? Well, most re-play the games of the series (more than once) others makes parodies or AMVs on youtube, some write fan-fiction. Well, I write screen-plays. That's right, a screen-play. And for those of you who don't know what this is, let me give you and explaination...
As screen play is like a script, only with more detail. Usually, the screen-play is what gets turned into a movie after editing is finished. Allow me to give and example of the difference between a script, and a screen-play. (some lines may not be accurate, due to the fact that I'm trying to do this from memory)
Script:
Riku: The door...has opened.
Sora: What are you talking about?
Riku: The door has opened, Sora! We can finally get off this island. This may be our only chance, we may never see our parents again.
Sora: Where's Kairi, I though she was with you!?
Riku: Kairi is coming with us! This is it Sora, we can't let fear stop us...I'M NOT AFRAID OF THE DARK!
That is the idea of a script. Now, here is a screen-play:
Screen-play:
(Sora runs down the pier to see Riku facing the ocean)
Riku: The door...has opened. (Riku spreads arms to either side)
Sora: What are you talking about? (Sora leans forward)
Riku (turning to Sora): The door has opened, Sora! We can finally get off this island. This may be our only chance, we may never see our parents again.
Sora: Where's Kairi, I though she was with you!? (swings left arm to left side)
Riku (lunging at Sora): Kairi is coming with us! This is it Sora, we can't let fear stop us...I'M NOT AFRAID OF THE DARK!
(Riku is being engulfed in what appears to be black fire. He reaches out to Sora who desperately tries to grab a hold of Riku's hand. Riku disappears into the fire, leaving Sora on the pier alone. A strange light appears in Sora's hand and he receives the "Keyblade")
So, that is what a screen-play is...it is a script, but also gives details on a characters actions.
Well, the whole point of this thread is a few reasons. First, I want to have a very in-depth conversation about whether or not a Kingdom Hearts movie is a good idea or not.
