      I agree, that does leave a pretty lasting impression. I tend not to describe things, beyond necessity, though. Mostly because I suck with descriptions, which is the main reason I write film scripts. Descriptions aren't crazy important when writing a script.

      i have such a huge respect for writers who are able to use it well. it makes scenes more interesting to read than if they just described everything flat out.

    @OP: your dad seems like he only wants what's best for you; he doesn't want to see you fail. as long as he isn't abusive, just listen to him. try to talk things out calmly and find his rationale.

    i didn't even try to watch Spirited Away until last year because it used to scare me so much when i was younger, lol.

    my favourite is Howl's Moving Castle, but i really love Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, Ponyo, Grave of the Fireflies, Whisper of the Heart, and Arrietty too.

    if you put something out on the internet (a story, a drawing, whatever), expect it to get critiqued. if you say an opinion on the internet, expect someone to not agree. don't throw a hissy fit after someone dislikes something that you publicly put out for everyone to see, because you are going to look like an idiot.

    I really think you should listen to Miku's advice. these are both really competitive fields, and the only way you can really make a living out of either of them alone is if you're incredibly talented and/or lucky. i think you should definitely consider them as side jobs, but try and see if there are any more careers you're interested in that would be easier to get into.

    i won't even list all of the things wrong with what you just wrote. @OP: don't worry about it. middle school is nothing and it'll go by fast. be yourself, don't try and change the way you act or the things you do because you're afraid of being beat up.
