Perhaps because they didn't like their performance or something, though I can't imagine that being the case for her. Not all voice actors that are chosen are also the best, or even an adequate, choice, though that's a matter of personal preference. For example, I don't like some of the singing voices, especially in the English Disney movies. But that might also be because I grew up with the German ones.

Either way, in this case I'm not against it at all. And even if I were, her role is probably fairly minor so that's something anyone could overlook. If anything,I consider it a good thing that they're putting effort into this and not taking anyone who has little experience. (Still hoping for Mandy Moore to return as Rapunzel because I really like her work and the movie. >_< I believe she's the only one of the main characters that is unconfirmed.)

"A new actor?" PFFFFT, that's a good one! No, only one actress in the world could truly keep that classic Meg sass alive and that's Susan. I wouldn't replace her with anyone else, it would essentially be a different character otherwise. XD

So they work hard to return the original actors for the individual worlds and yet they randomly replaced Kairi's actress? How does that make sense?

I have no idea. While she has stared in the TV show Nashville up until July of this year, there have been celebrities that have juggled more than one thing at a time. Maybe they like Alyson or for some strange reason maybe Disney doesn't like Hayden anymore. Hayden has been in 1 and 2, so it seems strange that she wouldn't be in 3. This was also asked on June 11th which was about five, almost six, months ago. Who knows if her response is true anymore. Kh 3 has an ESRB rating now which means there's a complete copy of the game with full English voice acting out there. Voice acting also tends to be the last thing that's worked on so it wouldn't surprise me if Kairi's English voice actor was called in within that time span since the past English trailers seemed to suggest that English voice acting wasn't done yet. We haven't even heard what Kairi's English voice in a trailer yet. So, who knows? There's still a 50-50 chance that she may or may not be voicing Kairi.

I don't know. I seem to remember Kairi having a line in one of the E3 trailers and it sounded like Alyson to me rather than Hayden. Maybe it was a temporary voice? Do they do that? I might be wrong.

Nvm. I'm an idiot. I pretty much contradicted my whole paragraph there. She did have a line in the one trailer and I can't tell if it's Alyson or not though. For me I would probably need more voice lines in order to figure out if it's actually her as stupid as that sounds. Usually if they don't have voices recorded for certain characters, they'll leave them character completely silent in the trailers like they did with Rapunzel and Flynn in the English trailer. Meanwhile' they were fully voiced in the Japanese trailer. If Mandy Moore comes back as Rapunzel, I'm hoping she voices Aerith too. I'm not a big fan of Aerith's current voice. Not sure what's up with Billy Zane considering there have been very different alleged reasons for why he wasn't voicing Ansem anymore and one of them turned out to be just someone spreading false rumors. Jesse MCartney also said that he hadn't been called in to voice Roxas and Ven but I think he was lying. You could tell by the way his voice sounded in the clip that he was being cheeky about it. It makes many of us think he signed NDA to keep quiet about his part in KH3. I wouldn't be able to imagine Roxas and Ven be voice by anybody else but him and I would be actually kind of bummed if they replaced him. I wish Hayden would come back if it isn't her. I've watched a few episodes of Nashville before and Disney would have definitely not approved of the character she played on there as she was a little mature for Disney. Not in an XXX way, mind you. As stupid of a reason it is, Disney is very touchy about their company's reputation and I wouldn't doubt if that's part of the reason they didn't hire her for KH 3. There's also the fact that some people didn't like her as Kairi. I have no quarrel with Alyson and she made a fine Kairi, but I would have preferred Alyson to voice Kairi in 3 since she is the original Kairi. I also hope they find someone that would be good enough to honor Mr. Nimoy's roll as Master Xehanort.
