I'm pretty sure that the biggest trailer will definitely be saved for Jump Festa, since its the final major event of the year before KHIII comes out, ya know?

Yeah but I will say this.  At least we got to see more variety when it came to the Heartless though.

And it would be very hard to completely lock out information, even if you abandon the internet entirely. In the worst case, you might hear others talking about it.

It's always easy to say "then don't watch it if you don want to see more", but even with all the block lists, muted tags, etc. it's impossible to avoid spoilers, even if you stay away from the obvious websites, mainly because lots of people don't tag their stuff properly or use the spoiler buttons/threads.

With 0.2, I immediately got recommendations featuring the ending scene on Youtube before it was even out in Japan. Simply because I watched KH-related content a lot and YT went "here, have more of that". It wasn't that bad because 0.2 didn't have that many revelations to begin with. As you said, 0.2 needed the hype in the shadow of KH3 being already in production, but they don't need to reveal it beforehand for KH3. But no one can expect you to stay off the internet for a month or more and abandon all communication with others just because they decided to reveal too much. (Though it's of course debatable what is considered too much...)

I'm all for trailers, I didn't even mind the Aqua fight being shown since it was hinted at before, but there are things which they don't need to show for people to buy it and that includes the opening and the final world/battle as well as key scenes.

What we've seen so far was fairly out of context and most of it not super surprising so it's still alright but balance is important.

My thoughts exactly! Even with what we have been shown so far, I've been quite puzzled on the order of events, which is a really good thing!

Yeah YouTube is the worst to go on when a new game comes out that you can't get (either by localization or just not having the money. Or even worst, leakers).

It doesn't help entirely, but what I do is have my Bookmark for YouTube go directly to my Subscriptions, have my video player set to Theater Mode, and then Zoom in the page enough so I can't see Recommended Videos. If leaks are coming out, try to remember to pause the video before it completely ends to avoid the Recommended Videos that pop-up.

Other than that, there really isn't much you can do, which really sucks.

I really wish it could come out exactly the same day as Japan... Well, mainly cuz Japan's release date is also my birthday, and it'd be amazing to have it come out on the same day over here :3

Nice to see more of this world, but Marluxia's nobodies are weirding me out with the way they were moving.

They are as fabulous

Thanks for sharing this with us, gepugg!

Lol, I was literally checking in on KH13 every thirty minutes or so yesterday morning! XD I was keeping into account the time it was over there in Italy, and when it was 1pm over here, it was already 7pm in Italy, which meant the convention had ended! So yeah, when I saw the trailer on Youtube, I freaked!

The Kingdom Of Corona looks absolutely beautiful, and I love hearing Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi back as Rapunzel and Eugene! And I think one of the most awesome things in this trailer was the fact that one of my favorite scenes from Tangled, which is when Rapunzel is contradicting herself and feeling conflicted over leaving her tower, was included in the game! Lol, seeing Sora just relax while Eugene is all grumpy really made my day! Gahhh, the Kingdom Of Corona is definitely one of my most anticipated worlds in KHIII, alongside the Caribbean and San Fransokyo! :D

I so hope they include the scene in the bar, so I can make sora drink beer! :P

Good thing, Prankster's Paradise isn't returning since we saw nothing but kids drinking and smoking.  Well, that was mainly Lampwick and Pinnochio.  I can't imagine Sora's face turning green from drinking a beer.  Either way, it's definitely not kid friendly!

Thanks for the advice! :D I mostly use my old phone to watch YouTube so at least I don't have that theater mode playing on its own but it's really hard to avoid once you know it's there. It's just so tempting, especially since we both don't seem to be the type to be against spoilers at all, just against revealing plot twists and the like which aren't really necessary.

Unfortunately, I can't avoid YouTube because my professor likes to have us analyze videos on there and even without being logged in, it's impossible to be certain.

I also think the opening is really unnecessary to show beforehand... The openings mostly consist of events that already happened so it probably won't spoil much but it's still something special to see for the first time whsn booting up the game. Another thing is that I feel it does little to contribute to promotion.

The CGI style they use is mostly absent in the game itself, it doesn't show how the gameplay works and it also doesn't give you insight on how the cutscenes look in reality. For some fans it may be okay but like with live action and pre-rendered commercials which don't actually show in-game footage, I feel it's false advertising. It is in the game, sure, and I love the openings but those who are not familiar with them may feel cheated to see that only the opening has that sort of quality. It sets a different standard if you've never seen the look of Kingdom Hearts.

So yeah, I can understand why people want it but I would prefer seeing it for the first time when playing it. It just has that "It's finally here!" feeling this way and not a "Nice, I've already seen it though" vibe. ^-^

Awe, that would have been so great! At the same time, it might be better that it's after your birthday so you can really immerse yourself. At least in my case, I have some friends and family who like to spend my birthday with me and knowing that I have KH3 lying there would distract me from them. xD My friend and I will go into hiding for at least a week when it comes out. We already took time off our respective obligations and made a plan for food, sleeping etc. <_<

I honestly wasn't expecting anything huge from Lucca and I wasn't wrong, a reiteration of news we already new and more of a snippet than a trailer. That being said, I enjoyed it, KOC looks a lot of fun to explore and Rapunzel seems genuinely fun as a party member. I did suspect that 100 Acre Wood might have been revealed as a smaller convention seemed ideal for this. Whilst big news is fun, I am enjoying the smaller snippets whether it's footage, screenshots or what not- good job Square.

Lol, well, there is Alcohol Reference in the E10+ rating, so you may be onto something! XD

But in all seriousness though, I love how faithful to the source material Square is being when it comes to Tangled!

Ah that sucks! Tell your professor you can't watch YouTube for life or death situation lol XD

I never thought about showing the opening cinematic as advertising like that, but now that you mention it, it really would feel like "cheating" newcomers. I'm so use to how companies advertise games that I tend to forget how others outside of the gaming world would see things (>.<)

Either way, I don't want to see it till the games out. I love experiencing it for the first time as the game starts :) Hell, I still feel the same sense of excitement and awe I had whenever I rewatch any of the cinematic openings!

I wish I had friends & family like that for my bday, I'm basically gonna spend mine avoiding the internet like the plague xD

I did request a week off work for it's release though! Honestly, I was going for two weeks, but I figured I'd have to be somewhat responsible lol In any case, I told my family and friends that I'll be totally MIA that whole week xD

As much as I am excited for Kingdom of Corona world, I was disappointed with the trailer because I was simply expecting the revelation of FF characters or having a new world but I guess I am glad to see the beautiful graphics and improvements of the game so far and hopefully looking forward for having The Jungle Book or Agrabah in the upcoming trailers

I wonder how he would react to that xD He's a huge fan of so many things that I'm sure he could relate to some degree bur I doubr he'd be happy about it. Or maybe he would just download the videos and send them via E-Mail.

There're enough trailers to prove that it isn't cheating so they could easily look it up, but I see little promotional value in revealing the opening cinematic because of the aforementioned reasons. If it's done for marketing purposes only and not to please the fans, I'd feel it's unnecessary since this style will likely only be around for a few scenes at best. We really learn nothing much from it either. I know many want to see it, I just wouldn't know what to take from it other than it being pretty emotional as a fan of course. But do we need it for marketing/promotion? I don't think so, which is why I agree with you and the reason why I don't want to see it either.

Awe, that's sad x.x Maybe you could at least go see a movie or something. :D

Yeah my friend and I can only take a week off, too though we'll likely need more time. It's a little disappointing but I guess we have to suck it up and act like responsible adults at times. Though we probably won't see much of the outside world either. Urgh, I will be even more tired than usual but that's worth it.

Being responsible adults sucks at times like these XP

I want to beat it at my own pace, but I know I'm gonna go ham on it and almost get no sleep. xD

The only thing I'm dreading is Platinuming it. I've (painstakingly) done it for the HD collections this year, and hearing about every new mini-game gives me the mixed reaction of excitement and dread lmao >.<
