So again Japan is gonna get it first because the Japanese version had a date of 2016 and now the english version only has now in development. Welp that sucks....

Why are parts of this in English and parts not? Aren't we getting an official English trailer tomorrow? The new KHIII footage is coolio tho

 

I didn't even realize that! If 2.8 comes out late 2016 and the English version is pushed to 2017, that could mean English KHIII could be pushed back as far as 2018, too! Ugh...

 

EDIT: I imagine if it's 'In Development' then English voice-acting for Xchi might not be ready, but why didn't they at least English dub the DDD gameplay parts and swap the lip-syncing in the cutscenes? It seriously seems like all they did was put voices for the first cutscene showing Young Xehanort and the one with Riku, but the scenes with Jiminy and Axel seem to match the Japanese voices. This trailer is incredibly lazy if so...

 

I know the Japanese audience is top priority but take some pride in your work, guys.

Per norm, the Japanese get a "Final Mix"-esque option to play in English. Whereas we, once again, will not get any option to play in Japanese.

Nope, BBS0.2 is our KH3 demo, I find it extremely unlikely that we'd get anything else.

Well, 3D is a full game, then we got cutscenes and then we have BBS0.2 which might be quite short. It'd make sense if they put a KH3 demo in if you pre-order to make it more reasonable to get. I mean the game is also $60, while the other HDs costed $40. I just have this slighest feeling.

BBS0.2 is, for all intents and purposes, the KH3 demo. It's KH3 Ground Zeroes. I mean, they're using the new engine, they're not gonna waste time creating gameplay different from KH3, so that's your slice of KH3. This is what adds to the price tag. And tbh, I'm not 100% convinced that's the final price.

We'll just have to wait and see. Never know. I still say they're going to add it in, regardless of BBS0.2 being a sort of "demo" for KH3. We don't have much confirmation yet either. We're gonna have to wait for Nomura's chance to speak about this to get full answers.

Hopefully Dream Drop Distance HD will have a newly orchestrated soundtrack as well. It was one of my favorite soundtracks out of the series, so it would be nice to listen to that music anew with the HD upgrade.

 

And yeah, that's gotta be Drake Bell voicing Eraqus. I would bet my bottom dollar on it. X3

I like how they tagged on some KH3 stuff at the beginning of the trailer. it's like "hey guys, please don't complain about us not showing off KH3, here it is, h-here's two seconds of new footage"

The "Now in Development" does not worry me in the slightest, if you go to the video on Youtube they say it is coming out in 2016 in the description.  This trailer is a little different than the first one so it may be that this trailer was made before they officially decided the release date/time frame.

I like how they added some new gameplay footage of Kingdom Hearts 3 in HD 2.8's trailer. Sneaky Square Enix. I love it!

Incredibly true. DDD is an incredibly short game and it seems like they won't add new content just straight up port it with some tweaks. 0.2 obviously is a short game using stuff from KH3 and won't be any longer than Duscae (3hrs max) then it's just a movie after that and if they use the Chi 2D art style then that won't take longThis collection is Q2 2016 IMO

Who whoa whoa let's not jump to conclusions here. There's no way that KH 2.8 English version will come out next year after the Japanese release. Judging from this trailer, they have already started on localizing and translating the game into English. They probably just don't have the English cast yet to dub the voices for KH chi and 0.2. And besides, SE has been showing interest in releasing the English and Japanese versions of their games fairly closely to each other. Or if not at the same time in all regions around the world.
