Lastly, the following description of the compilation was given along with the press release, confirming that the game is still set for release in 2014.

Final Mix VERSION OF Kingdom Hearts II COMING THIS YEAR
New Screenshots Available for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX

For the first time, the Final Mix versions of Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep will be making their way to North America. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX allows players to have Sora go head-to-head with Roxas at the Station of Awakening. Players will also have access to secret boss battles, new weapons, abilities, mini-games and additional cutscenes that help explain the story of Kingdom Hearts.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX also includes HD remastered cinematics from Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, the game that sent Sora on an adventure in the digital world . Sora, Riku and the rest of the characters of the beloved franchise will come to life later this year, with cutscenes and battles recreated from scratch for this gorgeous HD remastered collection for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.

About Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX

T-they're b-beautiful *sniff* Aqua looks much better in the HD version of BBS. And dat screenshot of the Roxas battle... Sora's mod with the Station of Awakening platform under him - it's hard to explain, but you can tell that that battle is gonna look wonderful in HD :).

Wowww, this is looking better than KH HD 1 by a lot. :DD

That would be because the original games look a lot better too.

I am incredibly excited for 2.5 ReMIX, as most are, but screenshot releases never really excite me. Sure, it's nice seeing the improvements with the HD goodness, but in essence it's still all stuff I've seen before. I'm really only excited when release dates are confirmed, and when I finally touch and play the game, and see it for myself. :P

Oh, also, it looks like the FOV in BBS hasn't been adjusted at all at this point. That's a shame. :/

I won't believe any screens or trailers in terms of quality as long as I don't have the game.

Being able to clearly see Xehanort's wrinkles makes me suspicious, they did the same for 1.5

Kinda looks like screenshots taken by people who emulate Kingdom Hearts 2.

Honestly, I don't care how HD it is, but the least Square Enix can do is either not lie about it or actually make the game look like the screenshots. We all remember this, don't we?

Well, KH HD 2.5 ReMIX had more time to be done. The graphics will look prettier and that kind of stuff, so... well, look at the bright side.

Yeah, that was horseshit. These look to be genuine, though. If you look at the Christmas Town picture in particular, you can see Sora, Donald and Goofy's lower-res faces like in the original.

I seriously can't wait for this. My Kingdom Hearts itch is coming back since last December.

*looks at the screenshots and then goes offline and takes out my calculator and does some math equations predicting 2.5's release date, then goes to a scientific lab to make sure my equations are correct, and then goes to the President to confirm this, then comes back to my laptop and logs in here and shows the results to all of you.*  Ladies and gentlemen, based on these beautiful screenshots we've seen, I have come to the mathematical conclusion that Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix is nearing it's release, and that it shall release on November 15, 2014!!!!! :P
