This is interesting, FAKE, but interesting. We like to have some info even if it's not real. I was wondering if anyone knows when will we get the interview from the actual magazine? thank you.

So a quick summary of the interview:

How's DDD coming along?

Alright.

Alright?

Os**t, probably shouldn't have said that.

When will we see something?

TGS. Then again, I did say that it would be at E3, but we all saw how that turned out.

Artwork?

No time.

Can you tell us what worlds are appearing?

No.

Sora and Riku are getting costume changes?

Yeah, I could have used their awesome, underused KH2 outfits, but that would be too easy and satisfying.

Riku and Sora's relationship will be highlited?

Yeah, they're great friends.

They seem very close...

Yeah, they're great friends.

Are they gay?

Screw off.

When's KH III coming out?

I've answered that in 12 different interviews. Screw off.

Will this be related to KH III?

No s**t.

What can you say to the fans?

This game is going to be Jesus.

Quite a shame that it's fake, but I hope most of what was said in this actually comes true. Y'know, except for the whole Sora and Riku being "very close friends" thing. :P

this is how i feel about it lol thank you so much for putting it into words for me your work is apreciated (spell check?) lol

Their is one thing i would like to say that i hope is also not true and that is the new cloths i mean come on i wanna see more of the badass KH2 cloths they have been way under use

Yep, this is definitely fake. Unfortunate.

ok i didnt know. i saw it on khinsider and wasnt completely sure.

there's a funnier version too (credit for making the funnier version goes to darkwishes on khinsider):

—The last we heard of KH3D (or “Dream Drop Distance”) was in January. How’s development going?

NOMURA: Which one is Dream Drop Distance again ?(laughs) Right now the team is hard at work (laugh laugh laugh) and things are developing with an unexpected lower budget.

—Unexpected?!

NOMURA: Let's just say that the gameplay is nothing like the trailer, or else there's no way I'd be able to sell this game (laughs). I probably shouldn't have said that.

—When can we expect to see more of KH3D?

NOMURA: I'm hoping to get the games into the fan's hands as soon as possible (laughs), and the team is working for two hours every other Wednesday to make that happen.

As for an official announcement... we're hoping TGS still takes our credibility seriously enough to let us in the front door.

—What about an official artwork?

NOMURA: Have you checked my deviant art account? (laughs).

—Can you tell us about any of the new Disney worlds appearing for the first time in KH3D?

NOMURA: I had come to America around the time of E3--not that I would stop in for an American gaming convention, obviously (laughs)-- for many business meetings with Disney. They told us to stop bastardizing the classic Disney worlds and characters (laughs).

We traded the souls of a few interns to get rights to using the Country Bears (laughs) . I think fans will be pleasantly horrified that Sora visits Home on the Range (laughs).

—You spoke before about possibly giving Sora and Riku a new outfit for this installment…?

NOMURA: Yes. I was worried the fans have caught on that this is another remake of Kingdom Hearts I. You won't figure that out until after you've purchased the game. (laughs)

Until then, please use your imagination that we are working on something original. (laughs)

—The game seems to be focusing a lot on Sora and Riku’s relationship…?

NOMURA: I’ve always thought that their relationship was one of the only aspects that makes sense in this convoluted story (laughs).

Yes this is primarily Sora’s story--except for when the games don't feature him at all, of course (laughs)-- and it will continue to be until the very end, but, even in the original Kingdom Hearts I wrote in the End of the World’s computer message that two hearts were needed to close the Door to Darkness. I think after playing Dream Drop Distance it will be mostly obvious that it means Sora and Riku.

Damn, I just let the cat out of the bag. (laughs)

—Sora and Riku seem very close…

NOMURA: Stop insinuating that there is an unstandard relationship between the two of them. (laughs). This is Disney family-friendly material. (laughs)

—Sora’s bond with Riku always seemed stronger than his bond with Kairi, is that intentional?

NOMURA: I can’t answer that! (laughs). JK, I'd be happy to asnwer that. I designed the character Kairi to be unattractive for the purpose of not attracting either Sora or Riku, or a fanbase, for that matter. We all know she dies in Kingdom Hearts III anyways. (laughs evily)

—With all of these games being made for handheld consoles, fans are left wondering about KHIII.

NOMURA: (laugh)

I have every intention of making KHIII (laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh) when the right time comes (laugh laugh *cough*), but, for now, please buy Dream Drop Distance.

—And Dream Drop Distance will tie directly into KHIII, is that correct?

NOMURA: YES!

You just have to play it, okay? I don't know why, but you do. (laugh)

You must buy this game and play it, or else you aren't allowed to play Kingdom Hearts III when its finally released. I won't let you. I'll be waiting around the corner at Gamestop, and I'll stop you.

I'm watching. Just remember, that. Square Enix is alway watching.

(laughs)

—To finish, would you like to say something to the fans?

NOMURA: If I were to try and summarize Dream Drop Distance at this stage it would be: exciting (laugh) and surprising (laugh) gameplay, brand new worlds to explore (laugh), and an incredibly touching story (laugh). The game is developing in an unexpected way (laugh) and I hope that will capture the feeling the player experiences when playing the game for the first time (laugh). Kingdom Hearts has always been about mystery and character and Dream Drop Distance showcases this the most (laugh). We are working hard to provide new content (laugh) to share with you for TGS (laugh).

Please love me. (laughs)

Interestingly, if it were real: This isn't the first time Nomura has called Riku the 'master of shadows'. In an interview in KH2FM Ultimania he said exactly the same thing. If this is fake, the person has a lot of time on their hands to remember that. I caught onto it right away. =/

Well, I need to start with the story depicted in a Birth by Sleep. Aside from that, there’s the story of how the King found his keyblade in the world of darkness and other things like that. Myself, one of the things I most want to do is to give Roxas more of a role to play. I think it would be interesting to flesh out more of the year he spent between his birth and disappearance. Or making Riku the main character, and writing about his desperate fight while Sora was asleep, and things like that. You get the impression that Riku summoned Roxas to a place of shadows, and that Riku is a master of shadows, so I would like to give him more exploration in the game.

I'm so glad I've got a good memory, because the first thing I did was remember he'd been called such before and went to go find out where.

Even thought this is fake, it is very convincing. But I am with Kinode on this one, it is most likely a translation error. After all, English and Japanese are to completley different languages. I'm hoping that this interview is real becasasue E3 was a real dissapointment and if Nomura is going to stay silent, even after KH3D didn't show up at E3 he must really be full of it.

I wish Nomura was waiting for me at Gamestop. I've got a few choice words for him...

And I can't wait for Kairi to "die" in KH3. ;)

I seriously doubt they'd have anything like that happen to Kairi in KH3. I don't understand why people hate Kairi so much. She doesn't really have much purpose other than being a princess of heart, but I don't hate her or want her to die.

I don't see why she can't 'die' though. Female characters dying are pretty much a guaranteed berserk button for male characters.

Because Nomura would totally understand what you're saying.

Or care.

Because she's a main character and Disney most likely wouldn't allow it to be in the game.

u act like its real!

Because at that time most thought it was real, including DChiuch. It wasn't until later on that we found out it was fake, and then it was edited as such.

Oh yeah, Disney is so against death. Nobody ever dies in anything Disney. Never.

Besides, by 'die' I meant she could be 'killed off' but not really, and come back later. Like when it seemed like Goofy died in KH2.
