The Lionhearts (Voltron KH rp with Stardustblade)

Pidge continued to inspect herself down to every last detail. After a few moments, it was actualy sorta growing on her. She placed her hands on her head, then pulled on her gloves.

"No joke... This actually isn't that bad. It feels like a pair of super comfy pajamas... Scary ones." She chuckled as she made a scary face into the fountain, laughing at the face she saw back. What she didn't expect however, was the fountain turning to look straight at her. Pidge's eyes widened and she shivered. "U-Uh guys!"

That's when everything else happened. A random guy came out of nowhere screaming. Soon after heartless appeared. The first thing Pidge did was summon her Keyblade. She held it infront of her, still not really fond of the sword like weapon.

"Am I the only one thinking it wasn't a good idea for Keith and Shiro to come since they literally have nothing to fight with?!" Pidge asked, throwing a heartless back with her Keyblade.

Keith narrowed his eyes, giving a venomous glare over to his annoying comrade. He ungraciously took Lance's arm off, fangs bared right at the wolf.

"I don't know about my wings, but I'm sure my fangs are real and I don't mind biting you." He hissed, fangs lengthening with his anger. This was interrupted however by the mayor and soon, the heartless.

Keith held his hand out with the keychain, hoping something would happen. Sadly not a single thing did and Keith still just had a small little keychain in his hand.

"Hey! Hey! I'm in danger Keyblade!" Keith called towards the chain, throwing a heartless back. He shook the chain. "Summon! Do something!"

Hunk blocked every chance he got, swinging at the Heartless at the few chances he saw it fit. He was kind of afraid that he would end up getting his heart stolen by these things, after all. Lance, though confident as he fought, wasn't the sharpest tool in the she when it came with a blade, and it was showing, barely blocking and his slashes desperate and sloppy. Shiro on the other hand was doing what he could with his keychain not transforming. He dodged attacks, punched a few heartless away with his metal prosthetic, but even then it was only so much that he could do with it.

 

"Come on...what do I have to do to earn your respect?!" Shiro asked at the keychain in his hand. He jumped onto the fountain's edge, dodging another attack before almost stepping his foot in the fountain's suspicious green water. Turns out it wasn't exactly water. More like acid, as a single drop reached the bottom of his pants, and began to dissolve part of the fabric like fire ate up a piece of paper. "This fountain has acid for water!!!"

 

"Wait, really?!" Lance asked, getting knocked back by one heartless a bit too hard.

 

"Lance!" Hunk yelled, he hurried over, quickly getting to Lance's side as he slashed away the Heartless before it got too close. As he slashed it, the Heartless died, disappearing. However instead of disappearing into nothing, it let out something this time. Hearts. Hearts, pink and bright, that came out of the heartless and floated up into the sky. "Are those..."

 

"...they're hearts."

Pidge whipped her head around, wrecking her mind for some kind of way for her comrades to defend themselves. As the heartless rose from the ground, she struck the shadow and watched as it dissapeared into dark smoke.

"These things can take a beating..." She uttered with a pant. Suddenly she heard Lance and Hunk say something and the girl turned to see... Hearts?

"How...?" She asked, looking up at the glowing entities floating up into the sky. Suddenly time seemed to stop for her, as she was in a trance somehow. With the glimmer reflecting off of her eyes, Pidge stood there blankly and reached up for the heart. "Come back..." She whispered.

Keith wasn't really playing it safe with fighting the heartless. Since the Keyblade wasn't going to be his weapon, his body was. He punched and kicked his way through the enemies, even throwing himself into some of them. As a few were killed, no hearts appeared. He continued this until he saw a heartless lurking up behind Katie who was too busy looking at the heart in the sky.

"Pidge behind you!" Keith yelled.

Hearts. They were actual hearts. Real hearts. And yet just like that, they floated into the sky, disappearing out of sight. Lance felt a tug on his heart as he watched them float away. "...are those the hearts that they eat...like Allura told us?" Lance asked, his question barely a whisper. He couldn't believe that something so beautiful...could also hold such a horrid meaning. It was awful. Shiro kicked a Heartless into the fountain, his eyes catching the hearts flying into the sky. For a moment he felt a pain in his chest, and then his head. The sight was familiar, yet painful. Memories that he should be able to remember, yet they were too painful to do so.

"Pidge behind you!"

Keith's yell brought Shiro back to reality, his eyes quickly landing on Pidge, as a Heartless was just about to pounce on him from behind. He didn't even hesitate, it didn't even came to him as a taught, more like instinct. He ran, dashing from where he stood straight to Pidge, running as fast as his feet could take him, even as he almost tripped when he jumped off the fountain. "Pidge!" Shiro yelled, throwing himself in between Pidge and the heartless, intending to use his body to protect the youngest member of their team from the heartless, not even thinking of the consequences that could bring onto him.

 

"A leader not only leads his team, but sets a good example...such as protecting them from harm."

 

A bright light appeared between Shiro and the heartless, causing Shiro to close his eyes. When the light faded, and Shiro opened his eyes, the Heartless fell onto the floor, disappearing as pink hearts began to float into the air. In Shiro's hand...the Black Lion keyblade. "I...it showed up." Shiro whispered, almost in disbelief. It was strange, yet it felt familiar in his hand. Almost natural. As if it was always meant to be wielded by him.

 

"Way to go, Shiro!" Lance cheered, slashing a Heartless away, trying not to pay attention to the hearts they produced.

 

"Pidge are you ok?!" Hunk asked, finishing the last of the Heartless on his end.

 

Shiro turned to look at Pidge. "Pidge...are you alright?"

Keith held out a hand towards Pidge, watching as the event unfold. As the light faded, Pidge was okay... But Shiro had the Black Lion.

"OH COME ON!" Keith exclaimed loudly, glaring down at his keychain. "I helped out too you know! I could /really/ use your help here!"

Pidge watched at the heart dissapeared, visibly seeming dissapointed when it did. Before she knew it however, a heartless was behind her and Shiro had thrown himself to protect her. A moment later and the heartless was gone with the Black Lion in Shiro's hand. Pidge looked stunned, speechless for a moment.

"W-What?" She asked, holding her arms a moment later as she looked to the side. "I-I'm fine... It won't happen again."

Keith crossed his arms as he looked to Katie.

"Pidge, you almost died just now-"

"I said I'm fine!" Pidge suddenly snapped, quieting down almost immediatly. "I just... I wasn't expecting the hearts to pop out. That's all."

Hunk and Lance walked over to the group. "Allura and Leon both mentioned that the Heartless feed off hearts...I didn't think they meant it so literally..." Hunk hummed, looking down at his keyblade. "How come they only come out when we smack them with the keyblade, though?"

 

"Maybe is a key to the heart kind of thing. If this key can open any lock, maybe it can free the hearts from within the Heartless?" Lance asked, smiling at his own thesis.= before turning his attention to Keith. "Well I'm glad to see that your keyblade is equally as tolerable to its owner." Lance teased, much to everyone's dismay. But even with the Heartless gone, and the group at current peace, the surprises were still to come. Something bright and white watched them from behind a building, before happily floating over to the group. "Wh...what is that?" Lance asked, taking a step back as he watched the specter float over to them. It was a dog. A ghost dog that looked more like a floating bed sheet, and a pumpkin shaped nose to go along with it. As adorable as it was...it was dead no less. "Oh my god it's a ghost!"

 

"I think it's kind of cute!" Hunk admitted, reaching out to pet the small specter.

 

"I think it might be friendly." Shiro spoke, watching the dog float around them in circles before deciding to cuddling up to Keith, as if deciding that he would be one of his favorites from the group.

 

"I think he likes you, Keith!" Lance laughed a bit, watching as the specter pulled on Keith's sleeve, as if wanting to lead him somewhere.

Katie stayed silent, appearing to be distant in her own thoughts. It wasn't until however when the ghost dog came along where she suddenly paused and smiled brightly.

"A bit morbid when you think of the fact that it's dead, but cute!" She reached out to pet the dog, eyes raising in delight when her hand didn't phase through. "Hi there boy, er, if you are a boy!"

Keith crossed his arms at Lance's comment, deciding to ignore his teammate before he started something. When the ghost dog first arrived however, Keith was a bit taken aback by it. It was a dog... A ghost dog.

"Woah- what the-" he watched as the dog nuzzled itself against him, causing the teen to rub the back of his head awkwardly. He didn't really know how else to respond, so he petted the... Thing.

"Um... Hi there?" He tilted his head when the dog began to tug at his sleeve. Honestly now, this entire thing felt like a trippy dream. "It wants us to follow it..."

"Follow it? To where?" Hunk asked. Shiro watched as the spiritual dog continued to pull on Keith's sleeve. He walked over to the dog, petting it gently before taking a look at the collar and the little medal with it which contained its name engraved, still legible despite being rather faded after much wear.

 

"Guess we will have to find out. Alright, um...Zero." Shiro murmured, letting go of its collar. "Take us...there." Shiro said, not really knowing where there would be. But it would have to do. Zero, the ghostly dog, cheerfully barked at the newcomers, floating away while looking back from time to time to make sure that they were following. And so Zero led them down some alleys and then up a stairwell to a tall looking building. Zero didn't hesitate to literally phase through the door, only to unlock it for the group from the inside, the door eerily opening as Zero waited for them inside. They peeked inside, seeing the dim lighted place.

 

"This place is giving me the creeps." Lance whispered, walking inside. They walked down a dark hallway until reaching a circular room that looked like...a laboratory. It contained shelves with questionable items decorating them, including brains and eyes and severed animal parts of some sorts and unusual colored liquids. It contained a large metal bed with straps on them right in the middle, two large metallic spheres standing over them with countless of cables attached. A desk covered with papers and notes scribbled around stood in a corner. Surgical like tools sat on a metal tray besides the metal bed. It was something out of a horror movie almost, yet Zero looked to be right at home, aimlessly floating around in a circle around the room.

 

"What is this place...are those straps?!" Hunk asked, his expression paling the more he looked around the room. Lance began to look around the shelves.

 

"Guys, this look like something out of Frankenstein!" Lance admitted. He walked around, stopping in front of an odd looking skeleton. It was sharply dressed with a suit, too. "This skeleton has clothes on."

 

(The skeleton is Jack btw *wink wink* giving you a chance to scare the living crap out of them *nudge nudge*)

Pidge was eager to follow the dog. She absolutely loved all kinds of animals, especially the cute ones so following an adorable little ghost doggie was perfect. She followed Zero along, reaching out to give him a bunch of loving pets.

"Awww, you're such a good boy Zero! You're smart too! At least, smarter than some people I know..." She uttered, glancing at Lance.

Once they got to the laboratory, Pidge couldn't help but look in awe at all the chemicals and research. The lab certainly was a lab. With Pidge's costume, she looked right at home.

"This is a lab for... Alchemy? It could explain all the chemicals and stuff..." As she looked into every jar, her journey ended up leading her to the skeleton Hunk was talking about. Pidge widened her eyes.

"Wow... This skeleton looks authentic!"

Keith meanwhile just shrugged and held his hands in his pockets as be followed the dog along. Where ever the dog led them, it was definitely going to be a new breakthrough. Once they got to the lab, Keith couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the scene before him.

"There's more Halloween here than the Halloween store in Traverse Town." He uttered.

A small chuckle was heard. Pidge couldn't help but raise her eyebrows, as it apparently came from the skeleton. She tip toed to get a better look.

"Huh...?"

"BOO!" Came a howl from the skeleton, as it's eyes narrowed and it's mighty height towered over the Paladins. Pidge shrieked loudly and practically teleported across the room. The skeleton began to smile as it watched the reactions.

"My, what healthy screams!"

Keith couldn't help but jump, holding his keychain out protectively as he was about to fight the skeleton man.

They couldn't tell who screamed louder, Pidge or Lance. Lance threw his arms into the air as the skeleton came to life with a boo, his tail frizzing up with him as he quickly jumped back, wrapping his arms around the nearest person, Hunk, who didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around Lance back.

 

"IT'S ALIVE!" Lance shrieked.

 

"It's...an actual living skeleton..." Hunk murmured, though he seemed more surprised than scared. Shiro quickly got into his stance, though relaxed once he saw that the skeleton's only purpose was to scare them, apparently. He was about to speak up, only to watch Zero float over to Jack, floating around him and rubbing its ghostly figure against the skeleton. Shiro looked over at Keith, then at the skeleton as he raised his hands. 

 

"Um...hi." Shiro began. "I...We..." Shiro then pointed at Zero. "He led us here. Sorry if we aren't suppose to be here." Shiro said, trying to sound diplomatic as he had no idea what could possibly happen next. "I'm Shiro, that's Keith, Pidge, Hunk, and Lance. We were sent here to...help get rid of the Heartless."

 

"What gives man?! Why would you scare us like that?! We already got scared enough fighting those Heartless outside!" Lance complained, but only because he could still feel his knees shaking from the sudden scare that the skeleton had given him. He paused, squinting his eyes suspiciously at the skeletal figure. "Who are you anyways?"

Small chattering cold be heard. Upon inspecting wherever the hell the strange sound was coming from, Pidge could be seen shaking. A second later after realizing that it was just a joke, Pidge was fuming. She got off the wall she had pressed herself against.

"That was NOT funny!" She exclaimed, crossing her arms tightly.

The skeleton gasped, tuxedo seeming to come to life as the spines food up on its own.

"Did I not scare you enough? I just need to work on my scare! Each year gets harder and harder you know- oh no! I don't need you to get rid of the heartless! We're going to use the Heartless to make this year's Halloween one to remember!"

"Oh they'll remember it all right." Keith said as he rolled his eyes, looking straight into the Skeleton's eyes. He showed no fear, no mercy. Keith was not intimidated. "The Heartless are dangerous. They'll consume everything. Now who are you?!"

The skeleton grinned, losing elegantly. "I am Jack Skelington- The Pumpkin King!" As he said this, he flashed a dark face towards the Paladins.

The paladins looked at each other. Well. Now they have probably seen it all, and it was only world number one out of the endless list.

 

"Well, you heard him! They don't need our help! We should totally leave now and return to the castle!" Lance said as he began to walk away, only to get stopped by Shiro, who grabbed him by the collar of his shirt.

 

"Not so fast." Shiro said. They came here to seal the keyhole to keep the world from falling into darkness, and darn it, even if it was a scary world, they had to do it. He looked up at Jack, taking a step closer. "Jack, right? We are keyblade wielders, sent here in order to help with the Heartless. Specifically, we have to seal a Keyhole within this world in order to keep the Heartless from reaching it." Shiro explained, though he wasn't sure that this person would know, they could try.

 

"If the Heartless reach this thing it can be really really bad!" Hunk insisted.

 

"So, um yeah," Lance said, now anxious to get out of this world ASAP. "Have you seen a giant keyhole...or...well, just seen more Heartless in one place than the usual...hell I give up." Lance groaned. They didn't even know how to find this place. Oh boy. This was going to be such a headache.

(I literally just finished watching the first Madoka Magica movie too)

Pidge was at a loss for words at the... Thing infront of her. A tall walking talking skeleton. Just to think that this was only the first world, the utter thought of what could be hiding in the other worlds wasn't fun. She inched out of her corner, looking over the skeleton man.

"How is that even physically possible?! You have no eyes and I assume no organs. You shouldn't even be walking!"

"That's the best part!" Jack cheered, spinning around gleefully as if he was some sort of performer. He straightened out his suit. "Don't I just scare you out of your bones?! That's exactly what I want; pure blood curdling terror!" He was going to continue, but when he heard a question about some kind of keyhole, Jack couldn't help but scratch his boned chin in thought.

"Hm.... The only keyholes I know are the keyholes to terrifying traps of torture. The only other person I could think of who would know about such a thing is my dear friend the Doctor!"

Keith had it about up to here with the Skeleton. The skeleton was absolutely wasting their time- precious time that was needed to stop the heartless from consuming the world.

"This guy isn't helping." Keith uttered, turning his back towards the group to head for the door. "We have to find this thing before it's too late."

Just as Keith walked to the door, it slammed opened, a figure in a wheelchair rolled right in.

 

"Sally! Sally are you in here?!" The figure spoke. It happened to gently bump into Keith. The figure fixed its glasses, staring at Keith before glaring at him. "You aren't Sally." He grumbled, before rolling away to speak with Jack. "Jack, there you are. Have you seen Sally? That good for nothing girl has run off again somewhere..." He mumbled, looking around. "Who are these people?!"

 

"We are here to help with the Heartless, old man." Lance hissed, only to be barked at back by the man.

 

"That's doctor Finkelstein to you!" He hissed. He gently fixed his glasses. "So that's what those things are called? Well if you're here to help with something, you might as well help OUTSIDE of my lab. I've got things to invent for upcoming Halloween! I would have been done by now if those brats would stop stealing all of my materials, and Sally would actually help for once!" Doctor Finkelstein looked up at the newcomers, almost dismissing them as he waved at them. "If you want to help, help me by finding Sally for me would you? She should have brought the heart over hours ago!" He insisted. Shiro raised his arms.

 

"We really don't have the time for this..." Shiro murmured. He paused, tilting his head. "A...heart?"

 

"It's one of my latest experiments! This 'heart' shall be used to control these messy creatures in order to make this next Halloween one of the scariest yet!" The doctor said. Everyone exchanged glances, all of them thinking the same thing; this sounded like a very, very bad idea. But they seemed to think otherwise.

 

"With all due respect, doctor." Hunk began. "I don't think that is a good idea! These Heartless can-!"

 

"It is a perfectly good idea! My plans are flawless! It just needs a few tweeks!" The doctor insisted, not wanting to listen to anything else of it. He snapped his head towards the group. "Now will you help me find Sally or not?"

 

Shiro sighed. "...right. Let's help the doctor and Jack find this...Sally." Shiro said, signaling for everyone to begin to walk out. As they did, Lance quickly began to whisper to the group.

 

"Guys, maybe we can use this heart to locate the keyhole?" Lance asked, whispering at the group.

 

"My concern is to make sure that this isn't as dangerous as it actually is...if this thing can control heartless..." Shiro shuddered.

Keith just about had it with Jack when he was going to leave. Unfortunately he was almost slammed on by the door when the Doctor came in.

Keith wanted to say something, but he didn't want to look like a total asshole for saying something rude to an old man in a wheelchair. Instead, he was just going to try to have patience he just didn't have.

He had to admit this 'heart' did spark his interest, however upon hearing more activity outside, he couldn't help but shook his head as he listened to the conversation. Once his group went together, Keith piped in.

"The people here are just wasting our time. But that heart... We have to get it before the old man does."

Jack was more than delighted at the Doctor's arrival. When the doctor began to speak, Jack couldn't help but agree more.

"That's a wonderful idea Doctor! I'll bring along my group of friends with me and we'll bring the heart back for you! I need to tell Sally of my ideas anyway!" He chimed. With that, Jack turned right around and faced toward his new 'friends.'

"Just wait until you meet Sally! She is such a great friend! She might know of his keyhole you're looking for too."

Pidge wasn't really paying attention too much to the conversation, only picking in on the basic important parts as she began to play with Zero again. She never thought a ghost could just be so cute! When the doctor came in however, Pidge approached him in curiosity.

"What kinds of experiments do you do? I love experiments."

The Doctor was more than happy than to indulge Pidge's question. "Well! I do all kinds! I try to create traps and scary inventions in order to make every Halloween scarier than the last! I was working on a robot that would offer some scares with some loud sounds and shrieks. But then these, what do you call them, Heartless showed up, and they were so scary but ever so unruly, so I designed the Heart in order to make them more controllable! Though if Sally doesn't hand it over soon I might not be able to fix it for Halloween." The Doctor grumbled.

 

"PIIIIIIIIDGE~ Come on~ We have to go find this Sally and Heart!" Lance called, not minding to control his volume. Shiro sighed softly. It seemed Jack would go look with them. Well, this was his home, Jack was bound to know it better than any of them would.

 

"Right, well then." Shiro said as he stepped out. "Jack. Sally is your friend, correct? Do you have any idea where we should look for her first?" Shiro asked. He could feel the pressure of finding this keyhole slowly sinking into his chest, and yet, it didn't bother him as much as it would. Yes, they had limited time, but they had no idea where the Keyhole would even be in the first place. The least they could do was to help with the locals with what they could...and hope that they weren't too late.

 

"I don't like the sound of this heart man. To top it off Keith hasn't been able to summon his keyblade. It can be dangerous for him." Hunk added as he pointed at Keith.

 

"He'll be fine! If anything Keith can bite them with his fangs and suck their blood to death!" Lance teased. Oh gosh how much he loved to tease Keith, even in the smallest ways possible. It was the closest thing to a hobby Lance would ever get.

Pidge beamed, eyes sparkling as the Doctor told her about the experiments. It was a bit unorthodox, but the idea of a robot truly excited her.

"Cool!" She said with a grin. "When get this heart for you, could you show me some of the robots you made? I would love to see your skill in advanced robotics."

Keith shook his head, quite baffled how destructed Pidge was able to get over the doctor.

"Alright mad scientist, let's go." He said as he dragged Pidge by the shoulder. She only huffed as she was dragged out.

Once they were outside, Keith's eye couldnt help but twitch at the commend. He grabbed Lance by the collar and looked straight into his eyes with his Crimson ones.

"You wouldn't mind if I practice on you, right?" Keith said with a crazed grin, fangs bared. If he was a vampire, might as well have fun with it.

Meanwhile Jack nodded, going around with grace. One could easily tell he was an actor.

"Oh why Sally? Sally is wonderful! She is a very hard worker too. The doctor created her."

Lance looked up at Keith, surprised almost. When he mentioned about practicing on him, Lance's face went pale. "Y-You, U...I-I..." Suddenly his cheeks flared red with anger. "O-Oh yeah?! Try it, Keith! I'll bite you!" Lance hissed back, trying to think up of a good come back, but that was all he could muster up at the moment, his own fangs showing as his tail seemed to reach with him, the hair spiking up. He even raised his hands to show his claws.

 

"Oi, boys." Shiro looked back. "Calm down. We aren't here to fight each other." He said, his voice almost parent like as one could imagine him waving his finger at them, even if he didn't.

 

"The doctor made her?" Hunk asked. The sound of that didn't seem...orthodox or ethical, but then again, nothing here was normal, at all. "She sounds like a really nice person!" Hunk added with a small smile. The group walked across the plaza and down one of the many pathways, this one leading to a strangely curled hill in the horizon, a figure sitting on it, standing out as the moon stood in the background. But they didn't last long without encountering trouble, and by trouble, it was Heartless, as they began to pop up around them from the ground and the shadows of the place.

 

"Here we go again." Shiro murmured, summoning his keyblade as he looked back at Jack. "Be careful, Jack. If they get to claw at your chest, they will steal your heart!...well...I mean...if you have one..."

Keith couldn't help but grin. Slowly he was starting to like this world- or at least having the opportunity to scare Lance out of his shoes. Maybe being a vampire wasn't so bad.

"You better be careful... My fangs are /very/ sharp~" he chimed. It wasn't until when Shiro piped in that Keith stopped in his antics and continued to chuckle to himself.

Once they got to the hill, Heartless began to appear once more. Keith got into a stance, raising fists to fight. If his Keyblade wasn't going to help him, then he would have to help himself.

"If they're after hearts, they could be after Sally."

Pidge rolled her eyes at the situation between Lance and Keith. She couldn't help but chuckle at how Lance almost freaked out. Her interest did pique however when Jack mentioned that the Doctor made Sally.

"Seriously?! Like an actual Frankenstein's monster? Wow..." When the heartless appeared, the girl sighed and took out her Keyblade.

Jack meanwhile was ready for the show. When the Heartless appeared, he shot small fireworks out at them.

"Don't worry my friends! We have a show to put on~!"

Lance jumped a bit when he saw Jack use fireworks as a way to fight against the Heartless. "Hey! That's pretty cool! Maybe you should lend Keith some of those, seeing that his keyblade doesn't seem to be showing up at any time soon!" Lance laughed, swinging his keyblade as he blocked another attack. "Focus on the fight." Shiro reminded, swinging his own keyblade as he slammed it against a Heartless' head, killing it as hearts began to float into the air. He wondered if he would ever get used to such sight. Lance fought alongside Hunk, remaining by his side as they watched each other's backs. "There's one over there!" Lance yelled, using his keyblade to point at a Heartless that stood on a gravestone. However, he was surprised, as a beam of ice shot out from the tip of his keyblade, hitting the Heartless and freezing it in place. Lance blinked, looking down at his keyblade. "WOW GUYS DID YOU SEE THAT?!" Lance asked. "How did you do that?!" Hunk asked, smacking a Heartless away. "I don't know but wasn't it cool?!" Lance asked as he shot another ice beam, no pun intended as he laughed. From the hill Sally could be seen pacing back and forth worryingly. "Oh dear...what will I do...?"

Keith just about enough had it with Lance's loud mouth. He didn't even know if he would be able to survive this entire ordeal with this idiot roaming around. They were in a tight situation as it is.

"Lance! Cover us!" Keith yelled. When he saw a heartless linger over to a distracted Lance, Keith felt anger surging through his blood. Was it anger towards Lance? Or was it anger that a heartless dared tried to sneak up behind him?

"You're such an IDIOT!" He yelled. Suddenly a fireball shot right out of his keychain and out towards the heartless. It bursted into flames, sending a few fireballs out towards other heartless nearby. Keith went back and looked down to his keychain. It still wasn't a Keyblade yet, but it did something. "This fire..."

Pidge meanwhile was trying her best to take on the pesky little things. They were so annoying, sneaking around like they were. She huffed from exhaustion as she swung her Keyblade around to kill another one, attention diverted to Keith's yell and the fireball attack.

"W-Woah!" Pidge exclaimed, narrowly dodging a fireball. "Hey- friendly fire, friendly fire!"

Jack meanwhile was more than impressed by Lance and Keith's abilities. He paused midway between the battle to talk to his new friends.

"Wow fellas! That's EXACTLY the pizzaz we need for this year's Halloween! Would you two like to appear in the show as my two loyal Halloween knights of terror?!"

Lance ended up making small beam sound effects, going 'bweoom' whenever he shot one. He was so distracted he didn't notice the Heartless sneaking up behind him, who were quickly taken out by Keith's sudden fireball attack. Even then, he only noticed when he felt the heat of the attack behind him, hearing Pidge yell out about friendly fire. Lance turned, almost scoffing. "Huh?! No fair, Keith! I just got to be cooler than you, you know!" Lance said dramatically, swinging his keyblade around before resting it against his shoulder. Shiro slammed a Heartless away, watching it disappear as the Heartless seemed to lower in their numbers. Hunk sent a Heartless flying. "Hey Pidge, I think I'm getting the hand of this!" Hunk said excitedly. Soon enough, the Heartless were gone. They were safe, for now. Lance turned his attention to Jack and his offer for being part of that year's Halloween as Knights of terror. Though scary, Lance definitely liked the sound of that. "Really?! Well don't mind if I do! The ladies do like a man in armor!" Lance said cheerfully, though Shiro could only roll his eyes at the idea. "We have business to take care of, Lance." Shiro reminded him. "Nothing wrong with a little fun every now and then though!" Lance chuckled. "Jack?" A voice spoke. It was Sally. She seemed surprised to see him and the strangers. "Who are your friends?"

Keith shot daggers at his companion, utterly appaled and annoyed at his complaining. He placed his hands on his hips, ignoring everything else for a moment.

"Hold on, I don't think you've noticed- but I just saved your life."

Pidge groaned in frustration at the two.

"Would you guys stop arguing?!" She asked, the momentary distraction causing her to fall back right on her bottom, to be saved by Hunk sending a heartless flying through the air. She sighed softly and dusted herself off once she got up.

"At least you're enjoying this, Hunk."

Once all the heartless were gone, Pidge panted from the harsh fighting. She couldn't help but look in awe however at the newcomer. "Woah..."

"Hey Sally!" Chimed Jack, sliding up right to her in glee. He didn't seem to be picking up her worry as usual, so he spun around and graciously introduced his new friends.

"I'd like you to meet my wonderful new official Halloween Knights! With these spooky monstrosities, this year's Halloween is going to be a success! Although we might need to make the little one a little more scarier."

"Hey!" Pidge protested, crossing her arms, the fake- or real brain swooshing around in her glass skull. "I can be scary! Right guys, I can be scary?"

Keith was unamused by Pidge's complaint.

"Pidge, we're not here to see who can be the scariest. Although Lance /terrifies/ me with how dumb he is."

Sally tilted her head slightly, looking at the newcomers. Lance chuckled at the comment that Pidge needed to be scarier. "Don't worry Pidge, you're pretty scary. Like a chihuahua!" Lance teased, chuckling at the youngest member before snapping his attention to Keith. "Says the guy who wears a mullet! The 1970s called! They want their hair back!" Lance answered back, Shiro quickly raising his hands. "No fighting cadets." Shiro insisted. "I think you're pretty scary, Pidge!" Hunk said, trying to cheer his friend up. Shiro turned over to look at Sally, nodding at her. "It's nice to meet you, Sally. We came to find you. The doctor asked us to see if you had the Heart that he was working on." Shiro said, hoping that Sally had the item. Sally pursed her lips, frowning. "Oh...the heart..." She spoke, though her voice trembled ever so slightly. "What's wrong?" Hunk asked, his attention now at Sally. "Well, I knew the Heart was pretty dangerous so I hoped that the Doctor would hear me out about it but," Sally then turned to Jack. "Lock, Shock and Barrel stole the Heart from my hands!" Sally finally said. "Who?" Hunk asked. "Lock, Shock and Barrel? Sounds like a drink." Lance commented.

Pidge was actually surpsied Lance was complementing her, although that momentary delight was broken by his later insult.

"Thanks... Hey!" Pidge said, crossing her arms. "I can be scary!" It bothered her more than it should've, although Hunk was there to save the day for her.

"Thanks, Hunk." Pidge said with a sigh. She couldn't help but tilt her head at the mention of the thieves.

"...I hate to say it, but it really does sound like a drink."

Keith narrowed his eyes, looking to Lance silently asking if he was actually being serious.

"Why do you keep coming at my hair? Is that like the only comback you can come up with?" Shiro was quick to diffuse the bickering, so Keith brought his attention to the situation at hand.

"If they stole it, we're just gonna have to get it back."

Jack shook his head, narrowing his eyes in aggravation. "Lock Shock and Barrel?! Not those three again!" He said, looking over to his new comrades. "I assure you they are far from a delicious drink! Actually, they're practically poison! They go around Halloween Town wrecking havoc and pulling pranks on people. Although I am one for good scares, these pranks are far from what I enjoy."
